BAILEY!
Randi:
“Hi Sexy Rex. Congratulations on your discovery. Could have used you a few days ago, your family tree is complicated for sure.” Amelia blew kisses to Rex as we shared short laughs, looking at Rex smiling brightly as he pointed his finger to turn the phone back around.
“What did you find?” The guys rasped out, tracing their mate marks to stay calm as their muscles flexed and rolled with the gentle sensations.
“Rex is correct on her maternal side. Prue was the first-born child to Rex’s mother, Heba, who’s family bloodline goes back to Ancient Egypt. The bloodline only passes the ‘oracle’ to the first-born girl. Now, this is where it got confusing in translation. The ‘oracle’ passes the trait onto the child to carry on the lineage, but because Prue took her own life not only did the trait pass on to Elicia, also her matured powers. Creating the perfect vessel for the Goddess to reborn. How am I doing so far Rex?” Amelia looked over to his gleaming smile as he gave her two-thumbs up.
“What about her father? Please don’t tell us she’s that bastard’s daughter.” Elias cupped his forehead in shock as his brothers patted his shoulders for support.
“Father, no. Related to his off-spring, yes. On their mother’s side, Thyra. Her family is just as complicated as Rex’s. According to Nordic Archives, Thyra’s mother had a brother, Otso. Thyra confirmed this, but also explained that he disappeared around the time she was handed over to Myles. We suspect he was either sent over or came over to investigate the DeLois family. Somewhere along the way, he met Prue, she got pregnant, and then they disappeared again.” Flabbergasted into a megawatt smile as the information reeled through my head, looking over to the guys smiling brighter than the heavens.
“What else are you not telling us?” Desmond cupped his chin with a shit eating grin as Amelia flipped her red locks over her shoulder, fanning her face like a southern bell.
“Ah, yes, King Desmond. Turns out that our very own Maxi-poo has a half-sister.” Amelia handed over the file to a smiling Desmond as he thumb through the pages, looking up to her with a bright twinkle in his eye.
“And a cousin.” Peeking over Desmond’s shoulder as Rex leaned into the camera to see the report.
“Well, isn’t that a small fucking world. Thyra is his half-sister, and Elicia is their cousin.” Looking between the bright smiles that radiated from their stunned expressions.
“Boys, pack your shit. Get to Egypt, find your pregnant mate before she can resurrect more mummies and put more unsuspecting Archaeologists in the looney bin.
Rex, can you meet them at Cairo Airport?” Desmond handed the file back to Amelia, clapping his hands together as he looked at Rex with a firm nod.
“Text me their information. I’ll be waiting.” Rex tossed me a playful wink and kiss before disconnecting the call.
“Randi, you stay here with me. The boys are more than capable to get our E back in one piece.” Nodding to his words as the boys disappeared in a whooping excitement, pouring Amelia a whiskey as she leaned against the sofa back with a mischievous smirk.
“What are you planning Desmond?” Izzy leaned back against the sofa, clinking her glass with Amelia as they studied him closely.
“We’re going to force my brother’s hand. I know he’s behind Bailey’s disappearance, and if he interfered with Bain’s capture, it only means one thing. He’s after my Throne, but he’s also after Elicia.” I swear he skinned that fucking cat for its eerie smile as his crimson orbs gleamed brightly.
“Do I even want to ask, ‘How you know that’?” Pinching the bridge of my nose as Amelia scooped me into her side hug.
“What’s the matter Randi, Rex suck your balls off?” Hissing as she slapped my cheek playfully, kissing my nose with a wink.
“The jollies are still dangling. Do you need proof?” Swaying my hips as they clapped loudly against my tight thigh muscles as Desmond snapped his fingers, straightening up his office as a new desk appeared with a fresh black leather high-back.
“Harrison gather the Elites; we have some hunting to do.” He bowed his head sharply before ‘poofing’ leaving us in a moment of reprieve.
“One ought to be afraid of nothing other than things possessed of power to do us harm, but things innocuous need not be feared.” – Dante Alighieri quoted in his famous Divine Comedy. That’s why the Seven circles of Hell resides in my old room. My brother and I requested that wall to remind us of the evils that plague this earth, but it appears my dear brother used it for other inspirations.” Desmond slid down into his chair, lacing his fingers together as we stood silently leaning against the sofa back.
“But I felt the bond break when he died.” Speaking out through the congestion of tangled thoughts as Amelia squeezed my shoulder, nudging my side with a smile.
“It was for the best. Sexy Rex brings out your personality in a good way, not to mention I heard the sex has been mind-blowing.” Blushing at her whispered words, waving my hand at her as Izzy giggled with a sultry kissy face.
“You have no idea.” Whispering back behind my hand, laughing out brightly at their pouty faces.
“Don’t be corrupting my wife, she’s a handful already.” Desmond pointed to Izzy with a challenging smirk, smiling at the blushing bundle of energy as she purred out in a dark shiver.
“Don’t be giving out my secret, Husband. But Randi has a point, how did your brother manage to break the bond when he’s not really dead?” Izzy sauntered over to his outstretched arms as they cuddled together, brushing their noses softly as they whispered sweet-nothings to one another.
Groaning out at the achy sensation that lingered in my groin.
“There are two types of Vampiric magic just like any other form of magic: good and bad. I believe in reform, redemption, forgiveness, whereas by brother believes in corruption, imprisonment, vengeance, everything that we fight against. A mate is a blessing, but to someone like Helmer it’s viewed as a burden to their mental expectations. That’s why he rejected your bond, but you believed in the possibility of him having a change of heart. Just that simple act of believing caused him mental turmoil. It’s not your fault and don’t you ever think otherwise, because his heart was stained already by our dear uncle.” Nodding to Desmond’s words tracing my mate mark, feeling the electrified rush that rolled through my body in a heavy shiver as Izzy tossed me a playful wink.
“Desmond! I know where she’s at.” LC scrambled into the office holding up her phone as she rushed over to his desk, sliding to a stop with a flustered expression.
“I just got a bank notification for her private account that me and Derek set-up for her schooling. She wasn’t supposed to know about it because we just wanted her to live freely and experience everything life has to offer, but when Randi insisted she stay with him the school notified us about the changes to her account.” She rambled on excitedly as she flipped through her screen, expanding an image of a GPS tag.
“She made a purchase with a phone confirmation from the bank at the Mall of Egypt in Cairo.” Desmond looked at the image on her phone, snapping his eyes over to me.
“On it.” Dialing Rex in mid-stride…. ring…ring…
“Hey, I’m about halfway to Cairo.” Hearing the roaring engine hum through the speaker as his bright tone made my stilled heart flutter erratically.
“Good News, we know were she’s at. She made a purchase at the Mall of Egypt; LC got a bank notification of her transaction.” Smiling at the chuckling howl that roared through the phone.
“What store? I might be able to locate her better.” His cheerful tone and increased engine hum meant he was ‘balls to the wall’ plowing through the desert landscape.
“What store was the purchase made at?” Cupping my hand over the speaker, looking back at the smiling faces.
“Umm… Hejabi.” LC looked confused as Rex chuckled softly with me.
“She’s trying to blend in.” Rex responded quickly.
“Smart Girl…Boys, She’s at the Mall of Egypt in Cairo. She made a purchase at Hejabi…LC got a bank notification from her private account…Okay. Rex is almost there…Be safe.” Desmond hung up his desk phone, snapping around at the wild hissing that echoed from the hallway as the doors slammed opened…
“BAILEY!” Her wild crimson eyes bounced around the room as her razor-sharp fangs peeked from under her twitching lips.
NOT GOOD! NOT FUCKING GOOD AT ALL!
