Plot Twist

Elias:

“Fucking Wanker! She called me a “Fucking Wanker!” Randi paced like a lunatic, tugging at his locks as Ma and Mama Eve tended to Elicia after she blacked-out.

“Dude! Relax. You’re making me anxious with all “THAT”!” Ben motioned with his hands; fingers spread out in quick circles to emphasize Randi’s manic episode in our living room.

“Well, we did convince him to bait Bain, but who would have guessed Elicia would forget our night and freak the FUCK out.” Roger exhaled with an animated hand extended out while holding his head in the other, looking like we all had been plowed over by a semi-truck loaded with our hearts.

Dropping my head back against the couch pillow, studying the tray ceiling with hand-punched copper tinning, giving the room a gentle warmth with the optical illusion of height.

Hearing the bedroom door click closed as soft footfalls approached, springing over the couch with a rushed exhale of excitement as Ma and Mama Eve crossed their arms with the “Angry Stare”. Back-peddling with the rest as Randi howled in laughter, pouring himself a scotch on the rocks.

“I’ll deal with you later, but you “Four” have some serious balls pulling a stunt like that. That poor girl already has a lot on her plate emotionally, and you just had to involve the only other person she feels safe with outside of you being her mates. That was a scumbag move, even for you “Four”, so tell us what you really know?” Ma pointed between her and Mama Eve, gulping down the saliva that suffocated my lungs from breathing in the sweet aroma of fresh rain and warm spice that lingered in the air like a lifeline in this claustrophobic villa.

My wonderful brothers decided their balls were more precious than their dear brother’s life, so I was voted as “Uno number one douchbag” to explain our reasoning.

“Hope you wore a cup.” Roger laughed in our link, causing Chris and Ben to snicker lightly behind their fists as Mama Eve strolled up to them, sucker punching them both in the stomachs as they flopped to the floor, groaning and clenching their abdominal muscles.

“For an Old Lady, she packs a wallop.” Ben grunted out, clenching his eyes tight with a shaky exhale as they swayed side-to-side in agony like two turtles tossed on their shells, looking over to ma as she nodded in agreement with Mama Eve’s handling of the situation.

“You my precious “boys” haven’t seen, Shit!” She hissed back, baring her fangs as she glowered Roger into a corner with a snarling woof.

“Bain has been “popping up” and disappearing quickly before we can catch him, so Randi, being the next closest person to Elicia, was our “bait” to lure that piece of shit out of hiding but we didn’t know where, or when he would pop-up. Apparently, today was the day, but it was also done to see if we had a “rat” within our close community.” Side glancing Randi as he leaned against the couch back, sipping his scotch with a clank as the ice swirled around inside the glass.

“What about Rex? He’s an emotional wreck. He thought he lost your “Dumb-Ass”.” Mama Eve stepped in front of him, tilting her head to gauge his reaction, knowing something happened to make him storm off.

“That’s my responsibility to handle, right now, he just needs some space.” Randi exhaled looking into his glass with a pained expression as he looked out the back living room windows, seeing Rex petting and talking to “Milky Way”, our newest foal.

“So, this “rat”? Do we have an issue?” Ma stepped next to Mama Eve as they stood shoulder-to-shoulder holding our gazes with a death stare.

I’m sorry, but all those years being used as sex trainers and fighters had nothing on the two women standing before us, ready to rip our balls off and feed them to us like Hannibal Lecter.
“Yes and No. Ezra informed us after we had left last night, Maxine hooked up with this guy snapping a photo of him before they disappeared, sending this over to us.” Ben handed Ma his phone with a picture of Bain with Maxine getting hot and heavy, while Chris pulled up the photo of Bain that LC sent to us.

“Have you talked to her?” Mama Eve looked to Ma with a perked brow, handing back the phones to the kneeling dunderheads as they slowly stood to their feet, rubbing out their stomachs with grimaces.

“We were going to, but earlier we overheard her talking to Rex and him about a “Rason” and the massive hickey on her collarbone. Later on, in conversation getting upset when she realized the photos and his number were gone from her phone.” Roger leaned onto the couch back, pinching the bridge of his nose with a lazy eye roll at the annoyance in our current timeline.

“Right, who would hook-up with someone they have had contact with and then erase any evidence of their involvement. A scumbag Bear.” Chris looked at Mama Eve with a pouty face as he rubbed his stomach like the Drama Diva he was.

“If memory serves me right, you “four” have done the same shit in the past.” Ma pointed between us with a narrowed gaze as her eyes blazed to life in a scary hue of greenish-red.

“That “past” showed up last night. Why do you think they split so suddenly?” Randi chuckled into his drink, snapping our gazes over to him with low snarls.

“Train wreck for a thousand.” Chris chuckled out in out link, receiving three firm head slaps with protest as Ma and Mama Eve tilted smirks at one another.

“I may not agree with your pasts, it is who you are… BUT YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT POOR GIRL IS EMOTIONALLY BROKEN BECAUSE YOUR “FUCK TOY” SHOWED UP!!!......JESUS FUCKING CHRIST RIDING A GODDAMN UNICORN!!!!” Ma’s arms and hands flew as she violently paced through the living room, talking and answering herself, meeting Mama Eve’s amused expression as she poured herself a brandy with another silent conversation to herself.

“You just HAD to say something?” Ben rolled the word, looking at Randi as he poured another scotch with the bottle tucked into the couch cushions. Classic Randi replying with a smug grin, snorting out a strangled exhale.

“Look, our plan worked, sooner than anticipated, but it worked. We know he’s close by and following us, so why don’t we have a little fun with the “Wanker”.” Randi snarled into his glass with red hued eyes blazing to life with mischief.

“No! We can’t risk Elicia’s safety to play around with his dumbass.” Looking up from the dark oak floor, staring back at pleading gazes as my brothers silently begged to have “fun”.

“On one condition.” Mama Eve turned around with her brandy in her petite hand, dressed like a casual Katharine Hepburn in light blue denim leggings, white blouse with the large pearls and soft waves in her soft brownish locks.

“I smell plot twist.” Roger whispered behind us, kneeling on the couch back with his hands laced together in a praying pose.

“Hush it Boy. If this “Bain” wants to play with the Nightshade family, then let’s make it entertaining. Agreed?” Her dull jaded eyes gleamed to life as her deep red lips sipped gently against the glass cupped inside her natural polished fingers.

Nodding in agreement as the front door clicked open to chaos.

“HELLO!” Dad called with a sprightly tone as dark laughter followed closely behind and pitter patter of feet as our favorite cousins came barreling in with bright smiles.

“MY BABIES!” Ma cheered happily like someone had flipped a light switch from her murderous ranting into the cheery, loveable, Auntie Iz.

“Anty Iz.” All four children cheered happily as she scooped them into tight hugs, leaving dark pink kiss marks along their faces.

Nikola, Micah, Akai and Azalea were rambling, energetic bundles of mischief stuck in three-year-old bodies. Smiling as they followed ma into the kitchen for an early lunch, asking every question possible before disappearing behind the wall.

“Boys.” Max laughed lightly, setting down their bags as we greeted them all with hugs and kisses.

“Hey Old Man.” Chris hugged him tightly, slapping his back to get a rise out of the Old Bear, resulting him being stuck in a head lock as Max side hugged and fisted our shoulders.

“So, where is she? I want to meet this young lady that snatched your balls from underneath your dumbasses.” Max chuckled darkly, receiving a chest slap from Mei sliding past Chris’ flailing limbs and grunts as Max tightened his grip with a noogie.

“Boys.” Her smile radiated happiness and a strange sinister twist as she hugged us, looking us over from head-to-toe with her finger tapping lightly against her straight-lined smirk like she was contemplating a serious thought in our presence.

“Hey M.” Engulfing her in a massive hug, chuckling softly as she tapped my arm to release her with a grunting exhale, letting her feet touch the ground before releasing my hold around her lean fighters frame.

“Either I’m getting soft, or you packed on some muscle?” She laughed loudly, slapping my shoulder, squeezing it with a perked brow and head nod.

“M, he practically does nothing and still looks like a muscle God.” Ben laughed brightly as Randi helped Dad carry their bags to the guest wing.

Why stay somewhere else when we have more than enough room.

“Don’t worry, everything is soundproofed… Now!” Randi flashed his megawatt smile and wink disappearing down the hall with dad laughing loudly as everyone perked a suspicious brow towards us.

“OKAY! OKAY! Uncle. Uncle.” Chris grunted loudly, tapping Max’s muscular forearm covered in rich colors and designs that depicted his darker years in the underground.

Max tossed him forward playfully, laughing, flicking his tossed locks back from his forehead as Chris smoothed out his black shirt, adjusting his gray sweats that twisted around his waist. Rubbing the bridge of my nose with a sigh, knowing this was going to be lively, until they flew back to the States.

Oh, the joys of Family.
