Crazed Chihuahua

Randi:

“It was Helmer. He snapped Peyton’s, well, Dax’s neck for trying to interfere with his questioning of where Elicia was. Last time I saw her was at the mansion, but I didn’t tell him that.” Hugging her closer to my chest, snarling with her at the mentioning of that Bloodsucking Bastard, kissing her forehead softly as everyone stood with murderous expressions.

“Honey, someone burned down the house and they found Peyton’s body inside the kitchen badly charred. One of your dad’s former crew identified the tattoo on his ribcage as being Peyton.” LC kneeled down, brushing back her disheveled hair to look at her face, frowning softly as her yellowish-blues looked at me spooked.

“Is that normal?” LC pointed to her unique crimson yellowish-blue hazels as we all studied them, noticing they resembled crystalized kaleidoscopes as the crimson grew darker making the lighter hues appear ice-like.

“Definitely not, but totally you.” Smiling at her worried expression as her lips lifted up in a soft smile, looking around the room with a questioning gaze.

“Where’s Elicia and the guys? Don’t tell me they’re fucking like rabbits.” Chuckling at her sassy humor as LC cupped her ears shaking her head with a scrunched-up nose.

“Maybe, if they found her already. It’s been an interesting day.” Laughing brightly, motioning for her to stand, brushing off my ass as Desmond handed us glasses with blood-tonic.

“Bailey, do you remember where Helmer took you after the house, anything at all will help us. We need to find him before he does something serious.” Desmond motioned for her to drink the blood-tonic with a soft smile, smirking at her paled expression as her nose scrunched up at the metallic scent that lingered with the sweetness of the tonic.

“He…augh God, that’s rough.” Her coughing gag had everyone chuckling softly as she downed it, making a sour face with a quick head shake to dispel the aftertaste.

“It’ll help keep your bloodlust sated.” Desmond handed her a fresh glass of tonic, placing the empty glass down on the little side table that survived the Tasmanian devil earlier.

“I woke up in this old Victorian parlor room. He’s adamant about finding Elicia, that’s why he enlisted the help of that scumbag Bain. Between the internal torture of raging napalm acid coursing through my veins, the heavy metal drummer in my head from refusing his blood-tonic, which by the way fed me his blood while unconscious, I managed to catch something about they’re linked by a ‘blood seal’. Something really strange happened before Bain was sent away. He was talking and then he doubled over in pain, urging Bain to find her… Who had sex?” Bailey sniffed the air as our eyes rolled over to Dominic and Atlas leaning casually against the mantle smiling at one another, smirking evilly as their eyes roamed across our faces.

“What? We were in the archives, and she is my mate.” Dominic kissed her nose playfully as his fingers kneaded her soft hip, scoffing out in laughter.

“Oh, and the massive explosion didn’t get your attentions?” Perking a suspicious brow at them as Bailey swung around shocked.

“What explosion?” She looked between everyone with a hissing snarl.

“Elicia kind of had an energy surge in the solarium after seeing the news video of the fire. The boys went to retrieve her from Egypt. Matter of fact, Rex should have called by now.” Pulling out my phone, frowning at the cracked screen.

Well isn’t that a pain in the ass. Now I have to replace it, chucking the cracked piece of glass and metal over into the trash pile of debris.

“Wait! She’s in Egypt? Helmer sent Bain to Egypt after his strange episode.” Bailey jumped back from us in panic as Desmond grabbed his phone, dialing the boys with a frown as he pulled the phone from his ear.

“Voicemail.” He looked worried as did everyone else.

“They’re probably balls deep at the moment. Try Rex, Dad.” Dominic stepped away from the mantle with Atlas looking concerned. Desmond dialed Rex, holding his phone as it ringed…

“Desmond.” Rex’s groggy voice cracked through the speaker as we all huddled around the phone with panicked expressions.

“Rexy, what’s wrong? Are you okay?” Holding Bailey to my chest, noticing she was shivering as her eyes swirled wildly with crimson.

“Bain…Myles…Titan…drugged us. They took them.” Rex groaned out as a raspy groan sounded in the background.

“Rex, who was that?” Desmond beat me to the punch as Izzy and Amelia shifted through the debris, digging out the office phone with snarling grunts as they looked over their shoulders with darkening eyes.

“My father. Someone spiked the wine before dinner. All the staff are accounted for, but the guards are under a strange compulsion. They’re still standing guard at all the exits and won’t budge.” Rex groaned out a raspy cough, clinking something glass-like in the background.

“Rex, what do their eyes look like?” Atlas stepped forward, leaning closer to the phone.

“Umm.. Like a glassy black almost doll-like.” Atlas pulled back in shock, looking at Desmond with a perked brow.

“Rex, I need you to check their pulse. I need to know if it’s slow, fast, irregular, anything.” Desmond spoke flatly looking at Atlas with a concerned expression.

“Slow, like real slow and they have this strange black veining along their wrists.”

“Fucking Bastard. It’s blood compulsion.” Desmond grabbed Bailey’s wrist, noticing the same black veining but it was fading. Desmond pointed to the cabinet with his finger as Atlas rushed over to the mangled steel container, shifting through the smaller vials at the bottom.

“Rex, does the kitchen have fresh cilantro?” Atlas returned with a small vial of yellowish liquid, motioning to Bailey to stick out her tongue as she placed three drops on her tongue.

“Yeah… now’s not the time to be cooking.” Rex chuckled darkly as the raspy cough sounded again in the background.

“You need to make a cilantro oil, place three drops on their tongues. It’s a natural remedy for toxicity and that black veining is classic sign of blood toxicity.” She spoke quickly, checking Bailey’s wrist as the black slowly rescinded to faint splotches.

“Who the FUCK would use blood compulsion?” Rex rasped out as his footsteps echoed through the speaker, looking at Desmond then down to Bailey.

“Helmer.” Speaking his name with a venomous hiss as Rex’s echoing footsteps halted into a slurry of incoherent curses.

“I knew that bastard was bad news. Do we know for sure it was him?” Rex clanked and banged around containers in the background, rubbing Bailey’s back as she flinched with each noise.

“Rex, he turned Bailey. Then let her loose on us in the castle. He also enlisted the help of Bain to retrieve Elicia.” Pinching the bridge of my nose as the thumping jackhammer worked heavily along my temples.

“Then why the FUCK was Myles and Titan here? I think Bain is playing both sides of the fence, don’t you?” His sexy timber growled through the speaker as the sound of stone clanking echoed through the room.

“Rexy, your father has been known to enjoy the underground fights. Maybe they were paying him a visit for funding?” Looking up to Desmond’s snarling expression as his crimson orbs glared at the phone.

“I don’t think that’s the case. You should have seen his reaction when they entered the room with the guards. Elicia’s presence has changed his perspective on a lot of things, well, after our little spat about what happened to start the whole feud, but she put us both in our places.” Smirking at the curious expressions staring at me, listening to the echoed footsteps as the speaker crackled with the changing reception.

“You said three drops?” Rex confirmed Atlas’ directions.

“Yes, preferably on the tongue for fast absorption, but as long you can get in their mouths. The mouth absorbs it quickly, it enters the blood stream faster because of the proximity to the heart.” Atlas examined Bailey’s healing wounds, checking the black veining that was almost gone.

“How are you feeling?” She asked softly, looking at her eyes with a soft smile.

“Hungry. My body feels cold like I was dipped into a ice bath.” Bailey smiled with uncertainty laced across her beautiful facial features.

“That’s normal with the changes your body is experiencing. The hunger, is it a mild aching or like a you haven’t eaten for a few days ache?” Leaning down to her eye level as her fangs nibbled softly against her bottom lip.

“A few days ache.” She snarled out, lunging at my throat as Desmond and Dominic quickly restrained her with snarling curses as her claws sank into their forearms.

Smirking at her furious attitude as her fangs snapped through the air like a crazed chihuahua.
