"KITTEN!"

Ben:

“I can’t look at her, she’s so “innocent” and “tempting” with those eyes.” Purring darkly in our link as the stunned “dunderheads” registered my words with sinister smiles behind their mugs.

“Can she get any cuter?” Roger linked with a weird purr, leaning onto the stainless-steel island making sure his trimmed physique was on full display.

Her heavenly scent swirling violently around the kitchen as Randi poured another round of coffee, pressing the “on” button of a remote as the notorious beat of Robert Palmer “Addicted to Love” started playing with a flirty wink.

Catching the splendid sway of her hips as she closed her eyes, nodding to the beat as she pushed back from the island with a graceful smoothness.

The invisible island catching our jaws as they silently fell, staring like “halfwits” scrambling with our thoughts as she fell into this rhythmic subspace.

“You can “Thank” me later.” Randi linked us watching speechless, while her arms floated through the air with a quick flick of her ombre locks, and a low grind to the ground as she rolled her body up along the door frame like a temptress.

“Our Temptress.” Whispering in our link with low purrs of agreement.

Elias and Roger stood mouth agape with their steaming mugs centimeters from their lips as Chris and me bumped our hips together to the beat. Finding the groove as we sauntered over to her, twirling and dipping her back and forth as her smile grew in intensity.

“I’m Ben.” Laughing with her carefree spirit as Chris spun her around into a deep dip, smelling along her neck with a quick flash of black against his eyes as he pulled her up with a blazing smile.

“And I’m Chris.” Spinning her back around as she spun under my arm, grabbing Roger and Elias’ hands to get them to join with a frown as they set down their mugs.

“Live A Little!” She exclaimed, bumping her hip into theirs as Elias spun her around, lifting her up into his hip with a swooping dip and a devilish smirk as she whipped her locks over her face.

“Your Elias.” She giggled softly as she slid down his hip.

Spinning her out to Roger as he grabbed her hand, hip dipping her with a low growl that surprised her for a second but kept rhythm with his classic back and forth sway.

“Roger.” He laughed brightly at her, while we danced and laughed like normal people.

Randi leaned back against the counter with an amused smirk as she broke out in light laughter, wiping the sweat from her brow as she side shuffled towards the fridge.

“Have “fun”?” Randi’s bright smile beamed like a beacon as she swayed over to the fridge, grabbing a bottled water looking over her shoulder with a silent offer.

“We’re good.” Smiling at her as she shrugged her shoulder, kicking the black-stainless steel door shut, chugging the water like it was a beer bong competition.

Her foot started tapping in rhythm to Tom Petty “Runnin’ Down A Dream”, air guitaring and kicking her leg out like a classic Angus Young strumming away across the stage.

“She’s got spunk.” Chris laughed lightly as we enjoyed her carefree spirit.

“No Shit Sherlock!” Elias chuckled back, tapping his finger against the island top as his eyes followed every movement, permanently imprinting the image in his mind as a tilted smirk ticked at the corner of his lips.

Elias was the incessant one, always making sure we were protected and had everything we needed growing up which wasn’t much seeing that we were bought and supplied like cattle.

Everything changed when Argo appeared to us in our dream, seeking out Max in the States and becoming a part of something that only seemed like hopeless dreams, but here we stand.

A “Family” of misfits and lost souls as Izzy, Desmond, and Dominic gave us more than we could ever repay but don’t tell that to Izzy. That woman was a walking light switch with her rapid moon changes, but it created some memorable moments.

“Hey, you with us?” Roger linked amused, snapping back to reality.

Smiling as she finally came down from her high with an embarrassed look, covering her face as she turned away from us with sweat beads glistening gently against her deep tanned skin. Quickly sweeping her locks that stuck to her forehead as her chest slowed to a steady rhythm, smoothing out her black blouse overtop a red tank paired with black leggings.

“She’s barefooted.” Roger leaned to the side with a bright smile, causing us to chuckle darkly at the images of Aunt Mei barefooted all the time.

“Is something wrong?” She spun around quickly, looking over her appearance with concerned eyes as we held up our hands with a quick nod “no”.

“You just remind us of our Aunt with the barefoot “look”.” Roger sipped his cooled coffee with a bright smile as she nodded her head with a delicate “O” expression.

“OH, GOD! That mouth.” Chris huffed darkly in our link, receiving a quick shin kick with a low hiss.

“OW!” Drama Queen Chris exclaimed, rubbing his shin with a scowled expression as Elicia jumped slightly with concern, rushing over to him.

“Are-are you okay? Do you need to sit down? Hang-on let me get some ice.” She spun around quickly, sliding past Randi as he held up his arms mocking staying out of her way as she rummaged through the freezer, returning with a bag of frozen peas.

“Oh, you’re so getting your ASS kicked when we get home.” Elias growled in link as we watched Chris wiggle his brows, soaking in the attention as she quickly nursed his already healed shin.

“He’ll be fine. Chris is “Over-dramatic” about everything.” Leaning against the island sideways to watch the “pity me” party taking place in front of us.

“I am not “OVER-DRAMATIC”.” Chris responded with a pitched voice, laughing darkly at him with pointed fingers.

“Our Point!” We all laughed in amusement as she pulled back the bag of frozen peas, rubbing her delicate hand along the cooled surface of his jeans.

“So, guys! What brings you by?” Randi broke the “Drama Queen” vibe with a quick save, silently “thanking” him as Chris grabbed her tanned hand, placing a gentle kiss across her knuckles.

The cherry blush creeped rapidly across her face and exposed chest as she stood up, cupping her face with her chilled hands trying to subdue the burning that radiated under her skin.

“We actually stopped to see how Elicia was doing after this morning’s “bombshell”.” Elias was smooth with his words, watching as she gripped the counter with white knuckles, hyperventilating with a soft wheeze.

“E! Breath. Breath.” Randi was quick rubbing her back in soothing circles as he tapped the faucet to cold, leaning her forward to allow the cold water to cascade over her slender neck with an Aries Zodiac tattooed at the base of her neck.

“Kitten has ink.” Elias spoke darkly as his eyes glazed over with a lustful glint.

“KITTEN!” She spun around flinging water droplets across the room, tasting the sweet hue of crisp mountain air as her face paled, before she collapsed into Randi’s arms.

“REALLY ELIAS!” Randi shouted frantic as he scooped her up, carrying her into the living room, while Chris and I darted down the hall to her room.

Bombarded with her intoxicating scent, shaking free of the euphoria as we grabbed a few washcloths and a towel, rushing back down the hall as Randi propped her up with a few throw pillows with a gray mosaic design. Elias and Roger quickly appeared with a large serving bowl of cold water, setting it down next to Randi as he gently wiped her face and neck to cool her down.

“Kitten?” We deadpanned towards Elias as he sat in the adjacent chair with his head in his palms, elbows dug angerly into his thighs as he massaged his temples.

“I have no idea “why” it came out. Seriously.” He looked up with a remorseful expression as his hazel eyes swirled violently with concern and regret.

“Look, I’m in no place to repeat this but for your sakes, just this once I will break my “vow” of secrecy.” Randi looked at us with a dark anger and genuine concern laced across his face, knowing this girl meant something to him.

Jealousy began to swirl in the depths of my stomach as Randi carried her back to her room, making her comfortable before returning with a dark scowl etched across his face as he motioned for us to get comfortable.

“Before I say one “GODDAMN” word, you tell me right now what that girl is to you?” Randi was pissed as he slammed open the glass door to his liquor cabinet with the full fucking bar highlighted by changing LED lights along the glass shelves.

“Our “Mate”.” We growled out lowly as he turned sharply with a curious brow, swigging his scotch with an amused expression.

“The Watchmen” have a “Mate”. Oh, this is “Fucking Classic”.” He laughed darkly, rubbing the bridge of his nose with his finger while holding the glass close to his mouth.
