Sugar-tits

Randi:

“WHAT DID YOU DO?” Izzy stomped in from the kitchen with little ogling eyes as the toddlers cupped their mouths, snickering silently to themselves.

“Nothing!” The boys whined out with their hands shrugged out in front of them, pleading to her silently to not kill them, but in all honesty, I was as guilty as them in this whole situation.

“Bull-fucking shit! On all five of you. Sorry, my sweets, ignore Aunty Iz but your cousins deserve every last word of this tongue lashing. Cover your ears.” Izzy motioned to them to cover their ears as she “poofed” and re-appeared in front of them, domino slapping them with a quick right hand. Poofing again, this time in front of me, shrinking back into the wing back chair as her left hand connected just as my right arm slipped off the armrest, snapping my head sharply to the side.

“OOOOWWWW-wwww! What the Actual FUCK! Iz-zy?” Mocking her name with a sharp tongue as the boys shook their heads vigorously to back down.

Fuck That!

“I have had enough drama to last me a lifetime these past twenty-four hours or so, but you know what, you’re right.” The room sucked dry of oxygen as everyone gasped with large eyes, looking at Izzy’s wild eyes dart sporadically as Rex stood along the fencing laughing softly at Milky Way flick his little feather duster of a tail.

“That was all I was asking for. Unlike, others.” The growling grunt spat at the boys had everyone laughing in tears as the toddlers climbed over the couch back, elbow dropping them in giggles.

“Mom, you act like we don’t know the emotional stress she’s under, but we were trying to handle this quickly so she could be at peace and be able to just breathe.” Elias leaned forward with a twisted expression of concern and caring. Sparking large smiles to form into bright beams of sunshine as Izzy wiped away a stray tear.

“Yeah Mom. Even though, for some strange reason she forgot last night, and freaked-out when she heard the link between you two, she’s still our mate.” Chris beamed ear-to-ear nudging Elias in the side as he wrangled a squirming Lea.

“Besides, we learned enough these past three years to understand the importance of a mate, and the significance they play in our destined paths.” Roger honked Micah’s nose, receiving a quick fist to his chest as Micah slapped honked his nose back.

“You little…” Roger hissed back, rubbing his nose as Izzy glared him into silence.

“We’ll do what Max did for us, along with you, Dad, and Dom. Be there, support her, and help her fight her “demons,” Ben fist bumped Nikola with a smug smirk as Desmond handed her a tissue.

“You boys have grown so much these past three years, that I couldn’t wish for anything more. We were very lucky for you to stay with us, and even luckier to give you the Nightshade name. Dom gained four brothers with open arms and it’s perfect.” Desmond hugged a soggy Izzy into his chest as Max patted them firmly on the shoulders.

“Your Mom would be so proud of the men she blessed into this World. I’m proud of you, and that’s saying a whole hell of a lot.” Max gripped them firmly, cooing at the misty eyes of the Big Bad Bear gone gooey-ooey Pooh Bear on us.

“Aww, Kaval is just a Grumpy Teddy Bear.” Cupping my hands together with fluttering lashes, dodging behind my arms as several pillows banked off the chair and my head.

“You still aren’t off-the-hook yet.” Mama Eve looked out the back living room windows as Rex leaned on the fence, looking conflicted as my feet led me out the back door, inhaling the crisp air laced with the fresh scent of dewy grass. Laughing softly as Milky Way danced around, wiggling his little tail while his ears flicked and snapped in all directions.

“He’s a heartbreaker, for sure.” Speaking loud enough, to not spook the little guy and the big guy staring at me with those ghostly gray orbs. Gulping down the boulder that formed out of nowhere, groaning softly as he turned away from me.

“Rex, please let me….”

“What? Explain. Explain to me, why after ten years of knowing we were mates, and me understanding the pain of losing a mate, that I got tired of seeing you self-destruct and just wanted you to slow down. I’ve seen the change, in you, and in them since she arrived, that I figured enough was enough and I would make you mine, once and for all.” His ghostly grays held me frozen in place, only allowing me to relax when he looked back down at Milky Way donkey kicking on wobbly legs.

“I never slept with anyone.”

“I know.” His words were cold but deeply imbedded in my mind, approaching the fence gingerly as Milky Way sniffed and nudged my hand with his soft velvety snout.

“How did our lives end up so fucked. Helmar rejected me but I held on to that invisible thread, hoping he would change his mind then…” Wiping away the tear that slid slowly down my cheek, remembering the pain that racked my heart when our bond severed completely with his death. Even in death, rejected or not, I loved him deeply.

“I know sugar-tits, but it was time to grow-up, a little.” Purring at the cute nickname he gave me while in Dubai, shivering at the memories of our drunken orgy in the penthouse suite of Burj Al Arab.

Glancing quickly at those ghostly grays as his arms snaked around my waist with a predators grace as his sweltering lips, drove me heavily into the abyss of blissful passion as our delayed bond erupted into ten years of rocketing fireworks. Drinking in every glorious moan as Aries and Lady Luck galloped from the barn, shaking their heads with distressed whines.

“Elicia.” Rex whispered out, looking back over my shoulder at his concerned expression as we took off toward the barn, smelling this strange aroma that failed to register as we neared the barn door.

BOOM!

Tossed back violently into the open grass field as the horses fled with loud whining, rolling over Rex as the debris crashed back down around us in wispy tails of smoke and fire.

“ELICIA!” Everyone shouted as they rushed from the house, coughing away the dusty debris as Rex cleared his lungs, checking me over before allowing me to roll back over to complete destruction.

“Randi! Rex! Are you two okay?” Desmond kneeled down with Max, helping us back to our feet, dusting away the charred remnants of clothing and debris stuck to our hair and exposed flesh.

“ELICIA!” The guys called out as the barn burned in a fiery ball of smoke and dancing flames, looking around the destruction as the horses galloped and took cover with the other horses in the pastures.

“What happened?” Izzy shouted out in panic, amplifying the ringing that thumped angrily behind my eyes as Elias darted into the swirling flames with gasping inhales.

“IS HE INSANE!” Max snarled out as his by-colored eyes blazed wildly against the raging flames that whipped and snapped at the blue skies. Grabbing Rex, checking him over closer with a strangled chuckle as he pulled me in for a bone crushing hug.

“I’m fine.” He chuckled along my ear as Elias appeared, charred and sooty, ready to kill as the dancing flames licked along his glistening muscles, highlighting the glowing symbol of Hathor.

“Did you find her?” We rasped out in fear she was dead, but the deadly glint laced across his glowing hazel orbs spoke louder than any words could express.

“No, but this was left for us.” He tossed a charred polaroid of Dani the Lunatic Stalker and Bain kissing for a selfie stabbed by the large bowie knife with a bear head on the hilt, sticking up from the ash-stricken grass.

“Rason?” Maxine asked unsure as she lifted the picture up from the knife, slicing through Dani’s face as her fingers trembled along the edges. Her gray orbs looking up from the photo, flinching back in panic as Izzy reached for her in concern.

“I had no idea. He was an egotistical ass, but I had no idea.” Her words faltered at the end as the guys pulled her in for a hug.

“He used me to get inside the house, and…and lied to me.” Maxi’s wolf was pissed as she growled out against their chests, releasing her from their embraces as she paced wildly along the broken fencing where Milky Way had been just a short time ago.

“Right. Seems to me this Bastard wants to play and play it shall be.” Desmond snarled out as everyone agreed, hearing the sirens approach as the fire crews pulled down the side access road that snaked through the eastern pasture.
