Bad Vampire. Go!
Elicia:
The guys were slow to catch on to my words as their baffled expressions tilted into these lop-sided smirks, looking at my hands on my stomach up to my bright smile.
Bailey fought back the laughter threatening to rupture my eardrum once released, sliding away from me as they launched to their knees, handing the tray over to her as they embraced me with bright smiles and kisses.
“Are you sure?” Roger cupped my face with searching eyes, nodding against his firm palms as the heat engulfed me in a swirling embrace.
“I thought Amelia said it was a false reading?” Chris kissed along my knuckles.
“Fourteen months?” Elias spoke uncertainly as he laid his hand on top of mine.
“Phoenix’s?” Ben chuckled brightly as he sat next me, taking Bailey’s seat as she leaned against the post with a playful wink.
“Let me explain.” Laughing out at the questions being thrown at me from all directions as they nodded in agreement, taking positions along my sides.
“Okay, so this is all a little overwhelming, but the Phoenix’s are Protectors of Life and were destined to protect the vessel of the Goddess. She didn’t foresee that we would be mates in our human-form. Your true powers laid dormant until you found your true mate, me.” Giggling at the soft kisses along my hands and cheeks as everyone fell into a relaxed rhythm.
“Now, this next part really upset me, but my mother was a powerful witch, an oracle of Ancient magic with tremendous power that was transferred to me upon her death. She took her own life to protect me from ending up in the wrong hands.” My lip trembling with the surge in emotion, realizing I would never get to meet her but held a special piece of her within me with the powers that flowed through my body.
“Oh sweetheart.” Izzy wiped away a tear as Desmond kissed her temple with a gentle hug, noticing the spooked expression across their faces.
“Your father?” Shaking my head at Elias’ question as they rubbed along my arms and legs, calming the fluttering sensation that racked my heart into a stampeding horde of horses.
“She couldn’t disclose that information but told me to trust in my heart and it would lead me ‘home’. Doubt and uncertainty will plague me from untruthful information. Whatever that supposed to mean, but it makes sense why my powers manifested after we united.” Smiling at Bailey as she blew me kisses, fluttering her lashes at me.
“The pregnancy. Why is it so long? because my heart is aching for that poor vagina.” Randi held his hand to his forehead acting like he was going to faint, receiving a firm smack from Izzy as she hissed at him with a scowl.
“Well, good news, it only happens every seven years. The birth occurring on the Paschal Moon fourteen months after conception. The first six months will go unnoticed because of their spiritual power they generate; it camouflages them from the naked eye, but the last eight months are like a normal pregnancy. After the first two sets of Phoenix’s, a set of girls will be born, Raven’s. They will possess the power of insight, prophecy.” Yawning behind my hand, feeling drained suddenly as Elias handed me the glass of water, sipping it slowly.
“You are truly special my dear. Not only do you possess the power of the Goddess but are blessing us with grandbabies of great importance.” Desmond held Izzy to his chest with a prideful gleam etched across his face, feeling the guys relax next to me as another yawn escaped my tired body.
“So, if my math skills are working correctly…two and half months, roughly.” Bailey leaned into her cupped fist, looking up at the ceiling with a thinking pose leaning against Randi’s shoulder.
“No one outside of this room will know what you are, along with them. If they end up in the wrong hands it could mean serious trouble.” Nodding to his statement as Ben leaned against my shoulder, while my fingers rubbed through Elias’ silky locks as he laid his head in my lap.
“Destruction and Chaos.” Looking over as his crimson orbs flashed a fiery hue of red, watching as Izzy rubbed his arm whispering in his ear as he slowly calmed himself with a deep exhale.
Smiling softly as Roger and Chris snored softly along my legs, hearing the soft breathing of Ben and Elias as they nuzzled into my warmth.
“What happened while I was asleep?” Reaching for my water, halted by the bodies pinning me down to the bed as Izzy stood quickly to help.
“Your spiritual powers manifested, causing the boys to react to your distress.” Bailey spoke softly as she rubbed her fingers through Randi’s blonde locks, smiling at the massive pile of sleeping bodies along the bed.
Izzy grabbed Desmond’s phone from his pocket, snapping a few photos as she held it to her chest with a bright smile.
“Precious moments need to be captured.” Nodding in agreement as hands rubbed and caressed along my body, causing a strange heat to swirl in my core with a low grunt.
“Hormones are a BITCH.” She chuckled lowly in our link, perking a questioning brow.
“How can I hear you?” Asking softly as they looked at one another with a perplexed expression.
“Well, the boys are tri-brid’s meaning they have wolf-bear-vampire blood, so since you are caring their babies, you now share their blood. Which explains why you could hear me speaking to Elias through our link the day after you mated.” Izzy grabbed a few blankets from the side hutch, covering up the guys with a gentle kiss to their cheeks as they nuzzled further into my body heat.
“They may be grown men, but they’re still young boys at heart. They were so confused when they first came to stay with us over three years ago, but Dominic helped them to settle into a new way of life. Now, it seems that the last of their ‘demons’ have been dealt with because of you young lady.” Desmond leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees, relaxing as his eyes roamed over the sleeping mounds of peaceful faces.
“Even Randi. He was always a handful but with you and Rex in his life, complete difference.” Izzy smiled with a loving warmth reminding me of LC as Bailey snuggled down into Randi’s embrace, smacking his roaming hand away in a sleepy groan.
“You possess a true heart, and it shines so bright. I’m so excited to have you as a part of this family. Now we get to plan for babies, decorate, all kinds of good stuff. First, we need to get your strength back and figure out housing arrangements.” Taken back by her last statement, because we just moved into the new house a little over a month ago, and we finally got all the furniture arranged and placed, not to mention the new ‘playroom’ under our bedroom. Growling lowly at the throbbing between my thighs as the guys shifted along my body, clenching tighter to my body.
“Control yourself, you know they don’t hold back when it comes to you.” Izzy giggled in our link as she picked up the room, placing their shoes neatly along the wall as Desmond kissed my cheek.
“I’ll go tell the kitchen to prepare something light for your dinner.” Smiling at him as he kissed Izzy with a passionate embrace, curling my toes at the smoldering display of affection.
“Bad Vampire. Go!” She hissed out all flustered, smacking his ass in passing as she went back to arranging the room, motioning for me to get comfortable.
“Kind of hard to do that.” Looking over at Ben’s sleeping face as his soft snoring tickled along my neck. Izzy waved her hands like it was nothing as she leaned over, pushing him back enough to adjust my pillows as she untangled the blankets to allow me enough room to slid down. Elias groaned under his sleep, shifting to my side like a slumbering cat.
“So precious.” Izzy snapped a few more photos, tucking the phone back into her cleavage with a soft chuckle.
“Get some rest sweetheart. Dinner is not for few hours, and I have some reading too do.” Laughing softly as she pulled out one of my favorite authors. Snapping her fingers as a glass of wine appeared in her hand, while the fireplace flickered to a soft glow as she climbed into the chaise lounge tucked perfectly in the corner.
“She’s one of my favorite authors.” Smiling as she tossed me a playful wink.
“Welcome to the E. Dark side.” We both giggled in our link, shifting just enough to rest my head gently along the pillows as the soft crackling of the logs nudged me into a warm sleep.
So warm. So perfect.
