Chapter 18
The knock on the door made Crysler open his eyes. He got up from the bed went and opened the door. A young girl was standing in the doorway.
"The lunch is ready. Please, come downstairs." She said.
"Okay, thank you!" He said. The girl turned around and left.
Crysler took a deep breath then came back inside. He washed his face then combed his hair. He doesn't want to look frustrated or upset.
Crysler came out of Rebecca's room.
Rebecca's room is on the third floor of the house. Crysler saw a door open, he noticed a desk, file cabinet and bookshelves. It looked like her office. There is a meeting area and a dining hall on this floor. Crysler saw another room; it has a huge TV screen in it. He walked past it.
Crysler came to a row of stairs down. He is now on the second floor of the house. This floor has many rooms. He can hear the voices and chatter coming from the corridor, it means many people live here. But there is nothing more on the floor.
Crysler walks down the last stairs, he came to the main floor. As he took a few steps, Crysler's nose filled with the ludicrous smell of steak. He realised he is really hungry. Crysler followed the delicious smell. He ends up in the kitchen and dining area of the house. All the dining table was empty other than one chair.
"Hi, come sit." Rebecca was sitting on the head chair.
Crysler smiled then nodded his head but he looked at the chairs confused.
"Haha, don't worry. Come sit beside me." Rebecca motioned towards the chair. He scratched the back of his head then sat on the chair.
"Where is everyone?" He questioned motioning towards the empty chairs.
"Oh, they already eat. Julie and Simon are gone for some work." She smiled and told him. He nodded his head.
"Minx!" Rebecca called someone. Crysler said. The same girl from before came out of the kitchen.
"Please, serve us," Rebecca said. The girl nodded her head then went back into the kitchen. She came back with the tray of different dishes with two more girls. Crysler saw eight to ten delicious food dishes. They placed the food on the table then left the dining area.
"Rebecca, have you talked to.." He was cut in mid-sentence by the noise from the background.
"Hello, Luna, Surprise!" Crysler heard the voice. A deep voice of a man. He turned around to see a very handsome man of his age standing in the hall. He turned to see Rebecca.
Crysler saw Rebecca get up from his seat. She went to him and hugged him tightly.
"Haha, OMG! You are here," She laughed when he hold her close to his body.
"Haha, oh, it's so good to be back. It's so good to see you," The man said.
He carried her in his arms up from the ground and twirl her around. She clutched the back of his shirt tightly.
"Haha, I missed you more." Her laugh was so beautiful. But it is for someone else.
'Who the hell is this man?' Crysler's expression went dark. He doesn't like this view at all.
"Okay, let me down." She giggled. The man let her down on his feet.
"Come, let's have lunch. Minx has made all your favourite dishes." Rebecca said. AND Crysler felt as his appetite died.
"Haha, so you knew?" He questioned.
"Yeah, Julie told me about your arrival. How was training?" They both came back to the table. Rebecca sat in her seat. The man said opposite to Crysler.
AND that's when he caught his eyes.
"Hello?" He said.
"Oh, Crysler, this is Zach, my childhood best friend. He is the Alpha of Sunshine Bay Pack" Rebecca introduced him.
AND Zach laughed.
"AND her boyfriend and fiance!" Zach added to the information. Crysler felt as he stabbed him directly in his heart. A little shadow run over Rebecca's face but she hid it.
"Zach, he is Crysler. Our guest for a few days..." Rebecca introduced him. It is not the right time to tell Zach anything about Crysler. She will talk to him privately. Crysler has never felt this type of emotion ever. He was feeling sick. The constant pain was erupting on the left side of his arm and chest. He thought he was void of any feelings. AND he has control over everything but what is going on with him!
"Hi, it's nice to meet you!" Zach's handshake with him.
"Nice to know you!" Crysler said. After that, he kept quiet. They both were talking nonstop.
"Yeah, it was just like our childhood. Mom and Dad were so proud." Zach said.
"Oh, I am so proud of you," Rebecca said in a sweet tone. The trust and love in her voice for this man. Crysler felt out of place.
Crysler saw Zach constantly holding her hand. They are eating on one plate. He is making her eat with his hand. AND Crysler doesn't like anything at all. He wants to run away from here, so far away only not to see her with him.
"How are mom and dad?" Rebecca asked. It is for the first time, Crysler heard her talking about her parents.
"They are happy and healthy," Zach said with a smile.
"I want to visit, but you know I am busy. All the pack matters." She said.
"Don't worry! I will take you. You can leave the pack on Julie for a day..." Zach said.
"Oh, where are Julie and Simon?" He asked.
"They have gone for some pack work," Rebecca said.
"So, we have some alone time..." Zach smirked. Rebecca gave him a stare.
And it was too much for Crysler. He cleared his throat then got up from his chair.
"I will take my leave. I have to do a few phone calls." Crysler excused. Rebecca nodded her head, but she noticed Crysler had just taken a few bites of his food. He took a few long strides and went upstairs.
Crysler was taking deep breaths to calm him down. His wolf wants to kill that guy.
'How dare he touch my mate?' The wolf roared inside his head. Crysler was clutching and unclutching his fists. He doesn't want to lose control.
Crysler came into Rebecca's room and locked himself inside it.
