Chapter 40

Rebecca's eyes widen with shock and fear. All the eyes fall upon her, AND her eyes were fixed on Crysler. Rebecca can hear the whispers coming from the wolves. At the same time, Jacob, Julie and Simon also reached the place.
"I can not do it," Crysler murmured. AND Wolf Alpha smirked.
"If you can not do it, you can not win this territory. AND you can not fight me, Crysler Dark, you remember your word or not?" Wolf Alpha said.
"If you can not kill her, I will fight her and defeat her, this territory will be mind. AND after that, you will have to be a slave forever. AND live in my pack without any rebellious acts." He reminded him. Crysler was not only in disorder, but he never thought the situation will end up like it. He was in deep thought, what to do? He can not let this monster live anymore or he will destroy many more lives.
Crysler looked toward Rebecca, and their eyes meet. He saw the disbelief in her stare.
'Can I do it? Can I harm her?' He asked himself. AND there was no answer. Crysler took a deep sigh! A smile came upon his face. He looked toward Wolf Alpha with confidence on his face.
"As I already told you, I don't care about this girl. The mate bond that you are talking about is already broken. She was just a pawn in my game, and I don't have any feelings for her, as for this territory, I can defeat her easily. I don't think she can even fight me. She doesn't even deserve to be the luna of this pack. A naive girl like her can not even touch me. So, she already is defeated." Crysler said. His poisoned words cut Rebecca's skin. Crysler broke her heart, she was not expecting him to say something this rude. So, it's her value in his eyes.
Crysler thinks of her like this, no this is not right. This is her pack. She is the Luna of this pack. AND she will not let anyone think that she doesn't deserve this position. They can not tell her who she is... If she has to fight for this pack. She will fight, but she will not give up without doing anything. How dare Crysler insult her? He gives a hard blow to her self respect nf confidence.
"You will not decide anything for me," Rebecca said. Crysler heard her words. He closed his eyes. Damn this woman. He clutched his hands in fists.
"This is my pack. I am the Luna of this pack. AND I will not back away from fighting anyone, who will challenge me for this land and my position." The utter stubbornness in her tone. Her strong words. All of the wolves were surprised to hear her words.
"I don't care if you are Crysler Dark or Wolf ALpha. Anyone who'll try to harm my pack. They will have to fight with me. AND take this land over my dead body." Rebecca's eyes start glowing. WOlf ALpha laughed.
"Haha, do, the little kitten can roar. Interesting, now if she is ready to fight, why don't you start it?" Wolf Alpha said to Crysler.
He is already so mad hearing about Rebecca. The more he tries to protect her, the more she put herself in danger. His jaw tightens, and the nerves on his head pop out. He turned around toward Rebecca and gave her a warning glare.
"You are not even worth fighting. I don't want to waste my time. AND why do you want to get killed?" Crysler said. But she was not hearing any of his words.
"Jacob, take your daughter away from here..." Crysler said.
"Rebecca, he is right, this is so dangerous. Come with me." Jacob said. But she shook her head in a no manner.
"No, dad, this is my fight. I will not run nor back away. I will prove my worth right here in front of everyone, that I am deserving of my title. If I will die at least I will be at peace, that I died protecting my pack and people. AND they will remember me as not as a coward and naive girl." Rebecca shouted loud and clear. Everyone there was impressed with her words but in their world. Power is everything, so her words don't get her anywhere...
"Okay, as you wish," Crysler said. A smirk came upon his face.
"Come at me with your full force. I want you to attack me as you want to kill me as you did earlier..." Crysler taunted. AND Rebecca gulped. She knows he is talking about breaking the mate bond.
"If you will be able to hit me or harm me or scratch me. I will give you this fight. I will be the slave of Wolf Alpha. But If you will not be able to do it. I will just hit you once, it will be to end your life. So, don't miss your chance to kill me. You understand?" Crysler asked. Rebecca talked so bravely, but now when she heard all of it. All her courage is gone.
Crysler stood in the middle of the ground. Every eye is fixed on them, the anticipation is too much!
"Luna Moon, please start the fight," Crysler said. AND she come out of her thoughts, she pushed all the thoughts back. AND shifted in her wolf.
"I have to use my full force." She thought, her best trait is speed. So, she attacked him with such swiftness, that half of the wolves weren't able to see Rebecca's movements.
"What happened?"
"Where did she go?"
"What she did?"
"Did she hit him?"
"Where is Crysler?"
The whispers from the crowd were getting louder. Rebecca stopped. She is taking deep breaths. The dust from the ground is clearing away. Rebecca shifted into her human form. She closed her eyes and then opened them again...
'Damn, she missed it. He dodged her attack! But how? Where is he gone?' Rebecca looked around to find him.
"Baby, right here..." She heard him speaking from her back. He is so standing behind her, so close to her body. Crysler's hands slipped on her waist. AND the sparks were there, he lied. Their mate bond isn't broken.
"I hate you!" Rebecca heard him. AND then she felt a very sharp pain in her belly. AND a stinging in her neck.
"I told you not to miss your attack. This is the end, my love. This is my fatal attack. No one has survived. AND it's all over. This territory is mine." He growled in her ear. Rebecca's vision starts getting blurry. He dropped her body to the ground. He walked away from her, she can see his steps. AND then a girl ran towards him.
"Dark, are you okay?" Lucy asked. Rebecca can recognise his voice.
"Yes, I am fine. We have done it." Crysler said with a smile on his face. Rebecca can see from her blurry vision, that Lucy kissing him. AND he picked her up in his arms. AND after that everything is a haze. She lost consciousness.
