Chapter 34

Rebecca groaned in pain. It feels as if she lost all her strength and willpower. All of her body was aching badly. It seems like her bones are broken and she can feel a sharp pain in her chest.
"Where am I?" She tried to open her eyes. But a bright light blinded her Rebecca put her arm over her eyes.
"Ugh, why is it so bright?" She mumbled then moved her arm from her eyes. She blinked a few times to clear her vision. A sharp pain erupts in her head. She again groaned. But her vision becomes clear. Rebecca is standing in a space, everything around her seems glorified with a bright white light.
The area is empty and there is nothing around her, she starts staring around. But didn't find anything...
"What is this?" She questioned. But didn't get an answer.
Rebecca's eyes caught something, she looked at her hands. Her skin is also white, pure white as all of the blood is drained from it. She looked petrified for a moment...
"Am I dead?" Her voice echoed in the area.
"No, you are not dead!" Rebecca heard a voice. Suddenly she can feel a presence behind her, she turned around.
"Moon, you are here?" Rebecca found her wolf standing a little far from her, she took a step towards her wolf.
"No, stop right there..." Moon growled. Rebecca can see the wolf is also weak and it looks injured.
"Moon, what happened to you? Are you alright!" Rebecca got worried for a moment.
"Why are we here? What's going on?" She questioned.
"We are here because of you..." Moon answered.
"Because of me?" Rebecca looks confused.
"Yes, because of you. We are in this condition because of you. You know what you have done?" Moon questioned. Rebecca tried to remember anything that would have caused pain to her wolf.
Suddenly it all came back, the pain of breaking a mate bond. The pain and burning in her body. A dark shadow lurks on Rebecca's face.
"Yes, right that, you remember it," Moon said.
"But, I never thought, it would be that difficult and painful," Rebecca mumbled. The regret was written on her face.
"You know, Rebecca, you tried to kill not only yourself but also me... I always trusted you. I respected you for never giving up on your pack. I was trying to stop you from doing it. But, you didn't hear any of my pleas." Rebecca can sense the disappointment and hurt in her wolf's voice.
"I am sorry, Moon!" Rebecca said.
"It is of no use. I am a precious gift to you. Our's powers were merged together, so we both can protect each other. But, you do not deserve these powers. Rebecca, you are going to lose me because you did not only hurt me. But hurt my mate. My precious mate!" Moon howled. Its cries of pain were unbearable. Rebecca put her hands on her ears to stop hearing it. But its cries were echoing in Rebecca's head.
"I did it all to protect my pack. Crysler would have destroyed my pack. He was going to kill me. I didn't have another option but to break the bond." Rebecca shouted. She was trying to defend her actions.
"Shut up! You foolish human. You don't have any right to kill him." Moon growled. It is now circling Rebecca.
"Crysler Dark may be a monster. He may be good or bad. But does it give you the right to end his life? Did he do something wrong with you? Did he ever try to hurt you?" Moon asked the most difficult questions from Rebecca. Because she is asking the same questions herself. He always protected Rebecca.
"He is DARK. He has destroyed so many packs. He has taken many lives. He was going to do the same with me and my pack." Rebecca's voice was weak.
"Did you hear him say it? He never said that he will kill you. The worry on his face. The care in his eyes was it all a lie? Rebecca, you are not a child to not see and understand what he feels for you." Moon was right, the wolf stopped in front of Rebecca.
"He was going to protect you and your pack." Moon dropped the bomb over Rebecca's head.
"No, this is not true. It can not be true, no he can not do it." Rebecca shook her head in a no manner.
"Crysler Dark have many other secrets that you're not aware of, Rebecca Moon. His reputation is to cause his fear. But there are many things hidden. AND I know it because I am connected to his wolf. I am connected to DARK." Moon's voice is getting numb.
"Why are you telling me all this now? What do you want me to do? The mate bond is already broken." Rebecca said. Moon shook its head.
"No, thanks to your father, he came at the right time and stopped the process. Otherwise, all four of us would have been dead by now... We are still bound to him." Moon informed Rebecca.
"There is no difference in him and you because you tried to snatch my mate away from me. Only because of you he is in so much pain. He is fighting for his life. He is hanging in between life and death because of your foolish actions." Moon was again crying and howling in pain.
"Rebecca, you do not deserve me. I am leaving you. This power belongs to you. But I will not be here for you. Not until my mate came back towards life. I despise you, Rebecca. You would have tried to talk to him. But you tried to kill him. He is in the same place as you fighting to get back to life. AND I am going to give him all of the strength if you can be this heartless. You can also handle yourself. Goodbye!" Moon stated then Rebecca saw it going away from her, in another moment, its entity become a smoke. It vanished away. Rebecca felt a pull, something pulling her out from this white space. She felt two hands grabbing her hand.
"Rebecca, open your eyes." She heard a very familiar masculine voice. AND she slowly opened her eyes.
