Chapter 32

"Rebecca, tell me, what is the problem?" Crysler asked. Rebecca is still so close to him. Her head was placed on his heart. Crysler's lips murmured in her hair. His arms wrapped around her body protectively.
"I think, my pack will get attacked soon..." She said. Crysler's hold around his body tightens.
"So, this is why you're so worried?" He questioned. She just nodded her head.
"Do you have a plan, what will you do?" He asked.
"Yes, I am working on it. I think I will handle it. Julie and Simon are with me." Rebecca told him.
"Can I help you with the defences of the pack? I have a good experience doing it in my pack." Crysler said.
"Will you do it?" She questioned. Crysler kissed the top of her head.
"Yes, I will do it for you. Don't you worry, it will all be fine," He said. She nodded her head.
"Thank you, I will ask Simon to take you to pack borders once he will come back." Rebecca's voice was emotionless.
"Okay, do you need anything else?" Crysler asked. She shook her head in a no manner.
"No, nothing, right now. I need some time to think about my strategy. So, if you will please excuse me." Rebecca said. Crysler smiled then moved away from her, Rebecca smiled sadly. But her smile didn't touch her eyes.
"Okay, I am sorry. I will leave you to it. If you need anything call me at once, I will be here." Crysler said. She hummed. He turned around walking out of her office. Rebecca is watching his every step, her eyes fixed on his back. He turned around and their eyes meet.
Rebecca felt as if everything stopped. Her heart stopped beating, her breathing... The blood in her veins. Crysler Dark, if all of this is a plan of yours, why do I feel this peace with you? If you are faking it all out, why are these feelings in your eyes so genuine? I can hear your heart beating for me. I can see the change in your eyes when you look at me. AND your words comfort me. Crysler, you protecting me and trying to make me happy. What is all this? A part of your plan. So, after you will achieve your goal, you can kill me. You know, you already have done it. Crysler, you killed me without doing any harm to me. I am dead.
Only thinking that a monster like you is my mate is enough for me to die a thousand times... I may have a girl, a very inexperienced wolf to rule this pack. I may have made so many mistakes and learnt very slowly. But, one thing that I learn fast is to protect my pack.
It was so much difficult for me to gain the trust of my pack members. After years, they start believing in me. I did so much for this pack. AND It's the truth that I am their Luna. So, if I have to give my life to protect these people. I will not back away, Crysler.
I know you are my mate. AND I have feelings for you. I am not denying it. But, I can not let you destroy my pack. I have to prove to them that, I am a worthy ruler. Rebecca thought, Crysler smiled then moved out of her office. She dropped on her chair.
Rebecca is taking deep breaths. Suddenly the phone started ringing. She picked it up.
"Hello, Rebecca?" The masculine voice. She heard it after months.
"Dad?" Rebecca said. Her voice filled with tears.
"Dad, is it you?" She asked crying.
"Yes, my love. it is me. Rebecca, how are you holding up? Everything fine?" She can feel the concern in his voice.
"Dad, I can not do it. I am sorry. Please, come back home. I am so alone here..." She is crying.
"Oh, my poor baby, did I hear it right?" He asked.
"Yes, dad. Zach is right. He is DARK. AND he is my mate." Rebecca is sobbing. She is feeling so much pain.
"Oh, my daughter, don't worry. We will be back home soon... I know you are worried. Did you talk to elders?" He asked.
"Yes, dad, I have sent them a message. But, I don't know what to do right now... Please, tell me." She cried.
"Rebecca, don't lose your calm. Don't cry, I know you are stronger than this, I gave you this pack so you can protect it. Crying like this will not do you any good." His comforting words gave Rebecca some hope.
"Dad, but he is my mate. AND It hurts a lot." Rebecca said.
"I can understand Rebecca. Listen to me. Don't do anything foolish. Let me come back home." He said.
"But dad, I don't have much time. The full moon is in the next two days. The attack is going to happen on the full moon." Rebecca informed him.
"Rebecca wait for me. AND we will discuss the matter with elders. For now, one piece of advice, secure the borders of the pack. Also, move the pups and women to some safe place." He said.
"Yes, dad, I already gave orders for it." She said.
"Good Girl, now don't stress. I am preparing to come back as soon as possible." He said. Rebecca hummed.
"I love you, take care." He said than ended the call.
"I love you too, dad." Rebecca took a deep sigh. She closed her eyes but opened them immediately hearing someone coming inside. Rebecca looked towards the door. Julie came in, she is breathing heavily.
"Luna," She greeted. Rebecca nodded her head.
"What is the news?" She asked.
"I have informed the elders about everything. They are preparing the plan of attack and defence." Julie said.
"AND?" Rebecca saw the worry in Julie's eyes.
"They have given another order..." Julie said.
"What is it?" She asked getting up from her chair.
"The death of Crysler Dark. AND for you to break the mate bond with him..." Julie said. Rebecca felt as if someone grabbed her heart and then punctured it with a blow that she will die with the impact of it.
