Chapter 11 - Advanced Blood Cancer
The secretary helped her up and moved slowly into the lounge, and didn't care anymore.
Alice lay for a while before waking up.
His head was still buzzing and his body was drained of strength.
She got out of bed and looked at the things scattered next to her, or picked them up and left the place slowly.
After enquiring about Susan's location, he drove there.
The dizziness did not get better, so I had to drink a pill to relieve it.
The thought that she would be able to rest after the delivery cheered her up.
Pressing the doorbell, Susan opened the door for her at home.
Seeing that it was Alice, a touch of mockery flashed in her eyes.
"Come in."
She was sort of polite and let her in, but didn't pour her water.
Alice only thought she was quite good-tempered, so she repeated Tony's words, and then handed over the contract, "This is the contract, after you breaks up with Tony, you can get a shop, a car and a cheque.
The amount is yours to fill in."
Susan returned with some impatience, "It's not like I don't have eyes to see, noisy!"
Alice paused for a moment and didn't speak again.
She looked down at the contract and said carelessly, "I've heard about you and him, I just didn't expect you are so shameless."
Alice blinked, not quite understanding what she meant by that statement, or what Tony had said about her.
"Seducing what was supposed to be her brother-in-law, and using tricks to send sister abroad."
She glanced up at Alice and added with a smile, "Now that we've broken up, you aren't jealous, are you?"
Alice smiled and didn't say anything.
No one wanted to hear the truth from her, and no one would believe her if she did.
So she didn't say anything, so there would probably be less trouble.
Susan signed her name and then handed it to her.
As she reached out, she let go straight away and the document fell to the floor.
"Oops, so sorry about that.
Got soft for a moment."
She pursed her lips and smiled a fake smile.
Looking at Alice's non-refutation, he was even more annoyed and couldn't help but irritate her like that.
But still she had no complaints or even anger to see, which had to make her feel like it was her fault.
Alice crouched down and when she got up again.
Her neck felt like it was being pressed and she pushed slightly and the whole thing fainted directly at her feet.
Susan was startled by her appearance and stepped back slightly before she saw that she was unconscious.
The look, it was clear that something was wrong, but now.
She knelt down with a wrinkled brow and patted her face, and when she didn't show any reaction patted her twice more.
Alice really fainted and was unconscious.
Only then did Susan realize that something was wrong and picked her up in a panic to take her to the hospital.
As soon as they went out, they bumped right into Richard who had just returned, the two of them were stunned, Richard's gaze fell on Alice, his expression gave a pause and became serious, "What's going on here."
"How should I know."
She was at a loss too, wondering why she was like this, but it wasn't imperative to be here wide-eyed with him, and pushed him away sharply, "I'll take her to the hospital."
"Let me help you."
He came over and picked the person up and quickly headed for the lift.
The person in his arms was pale and his lips were dry.
Susan pulled her car out and opened the back door.
Without asking anything, she let him go up directly.
The car was almost in overdrive, and the hearts of both men hung in the air on the journey.
It was hard to get to the place, Richard carried Alice and rushed to the hospital, and when he saw the nurses, those people immediately pushed the bed over.
Susan followed behind her and when she saw Richard was going to follow her, she immediately ran over to stop him, "Don't go there yet, I can come and take care of her.
Besides, you still have to pay the fees, I'll take care of the rest."
Two people who originally didn't know each other, because Alice suddenly and inexplicably trusted each other, immediately followed Susan after they split up and worked together.
He went into the emergency room with the nurse and looked at Alice lying on the bed, seeing her pale and haggard, as if she had been very ill.
And such a person would come over and act out a fainting scene in front of her?
Susan gradually began to doubt what Tony had told herself, and looking at Alice at this moment, she was suddenly a bit puzzled.
Such a woman is not at all as vicious as Tony's mouth says she is, only the truth of the matter has to be told by Alice herself.
The nurse was busy on this side and saw that she was still there and immediately pushed her aside.
After checking with Alice, the doctor quickly started the first aid measures.
It was only because she was still pregnant that it became a little tricky.
You can't hurt the baby, and you have to keep the adults at bay.
I don't know if she can bear such pain.
When she was wheeled out, Susan immediately pounced on her, anxiously asking the doctor about her condition.
The doctor looked at her and asked rhetorically, "Are you a relative of hers?"
"I'm her friend."
Susan quickly said out.
The doctor stayed, his face grim: "She doesn't have much time, prepare for the aftermath."
