Chapter 19 - He Comes to See Her
I had just woken up from my sleep and felt even more exhausted after saying a few words.
The door in the ward was pushed open again and Susan walked over, carrying a thermos box in her hand.
When she looked at Tony, her gaze was a bit cynical, "Why did you come to the hospital on a whim, it's raining red from the sky."
"I came to see her, since she's fine we'll leave first." Tony also stopped looking at the person on the bed and took Kathy's hand and left the room.
Susan couldn't help but hum softly, looking at his back and then at the person on the bed, her heart immediately ached again.
"Are you alright." She hurried over to ask her. But when she saw the tears in the corner of her eyes, Susan was so anxious that she took the paper next to her and wiped the tears from her face.
The tears could not be wiped clean and Susan panicked, patting her shoulder and coaxing her softly, "It's okay, it's okay. The bad guys have all gone."
When Alice heard this, she couldn't help but whimper. She opened her eyes and looked at Susan, the oxygen mask on her nose had turned white with the exhaled air.
……
Susan picked her up and repeated over and over again, "I know, I understand ......"
Alice kept crying until her eyes were swollen, and finally fell asleep when she was too tired to open them.
She put the oxygen mask back on for her, and her heart throbbed with pain, but more than that, it was anger. She didn't know what Tony and the others had said to her to make her like this.
It was cruel enough to make things difficult for someone who was already miserable.
Susan went straight to Edward and spat the matter out to him. The latter was unimpressed, touching the cup on the table and saying quietly, "This is their business, what do you care."
"You little virgin who doesn't know anything, what are you talking nonsense about." Susan couldn't help but bash him.
Edward choked, and finally didn't bother to pay her any mind.
"Eh, how's she doing?"
Susan couldn't help but poke him again, and Edward immediately became serious, "If we can't find a suitable bone marrow, I'm afraid it won't last long with the current progress."
DNA
"But Alice's blood type doesn't want to be the same as her legendary real mother's. The DNA has been checked and it's not." She sighed quietly, feeling only a little sorry for herself.
Edward didn't think anything of it, he had already heard about it, so he didn't think anything of it, but said, "That's a bit suspicious. If she is not an illegitimate daughter, then that Kathy, what is her identity."
……
Susan sniffed and looked at the person next to her in horror, "What you mean ...... is that it's not possible that Kathy and Alice's identities are misplaced, right?"
Edward gave her a blank look and didn't say much. Left her a look to slowly experience, Susan but some fear, she does not know what happened back then, and do not know why it will become such a look, deliberately or unintentionally before the truth is revealed, who can only pretend not to know.
Kathy went back home and put her bag down when Janet came over, with a worried look on her face.
"How's it going?" Looking at her daughter, she was still a bit flustered in her heart.
Kathy, however, was unusually calm, her original sweetness and sweetness had now turned into a sinister one, interfering with the estimated reveal in front of Janet.
"She's pregnant, but she said herself that it's not Tony's."
……
"Then ...... that doctor said she was seriously ill, what was that about." Janet pressed on again.
Kathy was a little impatient, but still said, "Advanced blood cancer plus two months pregnant."
She didn't know if the baby was Tony's or not, after all, the two of them weren't really together yet, and Tony's nominal wife still bore Alice's name.
Janet's face, however, changed, no longer fearful, with a hint of disgust.
After all, Alice was still a member of the Smith family, and as the wife of the Smith family, she only felt disgusted.
Kathy was still thinking about her pregnancy, and the more she thought about it, the more annoyed she became in her heart, and finally went straight back to her room to stay there.
Janet was also thinking about Alice's pregnancy, and her heart was getting more and more upset, so she simply called the phone.
It took a while for the other side to pick up, and her tone was lazy, "What is it, Mrs. Smith."
"The matter of Alice, I have something to say to you." Janet was not polite, and without waiting for her to open her mouth, she said, "Alice's is your daughter, so many years have passed, and now Cathy has also grown up, so you should take Alice back."
The other side screamed, "That's not possible! I'm already married, how can I possibly accept another child."
"She's your daughter." Janet reminded.
The other side was no longer polite and said angrily, "If you say no, then it's no. Do what you like. There is absolutely no way Alice will be with me."
The phone hung up straight away, but Janet was furious. She looked at the phone and cursed a few foul words, and her heart got irritated.
If Alice could not be sent away, if people knew that she was having an affair, the Smith family's face would not be able to stand. If she had known that she would have a child, she would not have allowed a surrogate to conceive, and what happened today was her own doing.
