Chapter 16 - Alice disappears

The days gradually calmed down, Alice left and no one would care.
Everything was going on as usual, Tony also answered the company as usual, and the mood had improved a lot in the past few days as he took Kathy around.
When he returned to the office, the atmosphere around him was also a lot gentler. Tony listened attentively as his secretary gave him a report on the events of the past few days.
When he heard that a project had not been taken down, he frowned, "Where is Alice?"
The secretary was a little surprised and asked, "Didn't you dismiss her?"
Tony gave a start, looked up at his secretary and asked in a slow voice, "When did I dismiss her?"
"Last Friday, Alice took her resignation letter to the personnel department and said that you had agreed to her request to resign." The secretary said cautiously. At the same time timidly observing his expression.
Tony stood up from his position and walked out in big strides. The secretary followed in small steps, watching his back, not daring to go too fast or too slow.
The people in the office room watched as Tony smiled and walked into the office, then left in a rage, all looking at his back with some confusion.
They did not particularly understand what was going on.
Tony did not understand either, nor did he realise why he was so angry, and when he grabbed the HR manager by the collar, he had not reacted either.
"Who gave you permission to let her go!" He roared, and everyone lowered their heads in fear that they would be angered.
That manager was also nervous, not daring to say a word more.
He was grabbed by his collar and his toes were already off the ground.
Tony narrowed his eyes, "I agreed when she said I did? Where is your brain, How can you be a personnel manager, is it that your brain has degenerated after sitting for a long time!"
…… ……
"No ...... no ......" he also felt wronged, he was just accidentally lazy at the time, if he had known it would turn out like this, he should have called back and asked.
Alice walked away, it was useless to be angry now. Tony tossed him aside, his eyes on the verge of spitting fire as he crossed in front of them, and finally had no choice but to leave.
The secretary was still trembling behind him, not understanding why he was so angry.
Tony was taking his anger out on this side, Richard came out of the police station and ran over non-stop, Susan could only have Tony's side.
He ignored the security guards and rushed straight to his floor. When he saw Tony, he no longer cared about what poise was and punched him directly.
The corner of Tony's mouth was bleeding, and when he saw the angry Richard, he didn't even ask. The other side had already spoken.
"Do you know where Alice has gone! You tell me!" He went straight for it, he didn't feel relieved by the punch he had just thrown, and struck another hand, glaring angrily.
The latter raised her eyes slightly and gave him a look, "She's not here."
Upon hearing this indifferent tone, Richard became even more furious and punched him directly, "You're such a bastard! It was bad luck for Alice to marry you. For your true love, she suffered for you against everyone's disgust, and even went to work with illness, but you, as her husband, never once cared.
Tony gave a start, but still wiped the blood from his face as if nothing had happened, and then said, "Are you finished? When you're done, go away."
"Don't pretend with me!" He was furious, grabbed Tony by the collar and met his eyes, "Come with me to Susan's house immediately, if Alice disappears like this, I won't let you go!"
Tony looked at him and agreed after a moment.
The two of them drove over and arrived at Susan's door. Tony knocked on the door and it took a moment before someone came and opened it for them.
Susan looked at them and fussed, "What for?"
"Is Alice here with you?" Tony bowed his head slightly, his hostile aura intensifying.
Susan just pretended not to feel it and shook her head, a little confused, "Who is it?"
"Don't play dumb with me, is Alice here or not."
Tony was also a little impatient, he was also trying to find her.
Susan was just about to speak when the phone in her hand rang. She took two steps back and went to answer the phone.
……
The other side seemed to be in a hurry, and as soon as she spoke, she said, "Hurry up and come over, she has just fainted and her blood pressure level has dropped quite a bit ......"
There was some noise over there, the sound of electronic instruments converging with the sound of people talking, and a nurse talking to him, her voice coming straight through.
……
"If the patient doesn't cooperate with the medication, it will be really hard to hold on any longer, the blood pressure level is about to break the limit ......"
"Quickly, vomiting blood again, quickly bring something over."
Susan listened to the voice and also followed the tension, ignoring the two people who were still there, and asked directly, "How long does she have?"
"Not long, if she doesn't change her mind, I'm only afraid that if you come over, you can collect her corpse."
Susan wrinkled her brow, a little anxious, "How could this be, wasn't she still fine when she was sent over?"
……
"Yes quite well, her body was overdrawn in all years, she didn't rest well or eat or drink well. To be more precise, she was keeping herself alive with her own will and ......" he paused.
Susan anxiously pursued her question before the other side spoke again, "You can talk about the details when you come over, there's no time now, so hurry up and come over."
The phone hung up and she tossed it to the side. The two men came out of the room, and Susan walked straight up to them, asking provocatively, "How about it, have you seen enough. I said there's no one here, now get lost right now, I want to rest!"
Richard's face was wrinkled like a chrysanthemum as Tony and he were both pushed out by Susan.
As soon as the door closed, arrangements were immediately made for a plane to go over.
