Chapter 33 - Tony is getting married
Probably because of the cool breeze overnight, there was no way to get up early the next morning. The whole person was burned to a point where she was a bit dizzy.
When Susan came to see her, she was also shocked and immediately contacted Edward when she saw her like this.
The two of them were busy in her house. Only then did Edward realize that something was wrong and immediately called an ambulance.
They were sent to the operating theatre for emergency treatment, and the two of them waited anxiously outside.
Susan stroked her forehead, while Edward walked around beside her.
Both had a hint of worry on their faces. Richard also rushed over immediately upon hearing the news. Looking at the closed door, he asked, "How is it going."
"I'm afraid this is going to be fatal." Edward got serious, before he thought she was really recovering slowly, but now, it was just a return to light.
Having a child in her body was tantamount to dragging her down. And now, the condition was in full swing, unless a suitable bone marrow was immediately found and transplanted.
Richard looked at the door and walked over to it. Nothing could be seen inside, and only after standing for a while did she say, "I have someone on my side, I don't know if it will work."
As soon as they heard that there was someone, both of them looked at him in unison. Richard collected his eyebrows, his face serious, "I've already informed him to come over now, only that the talent has just been found and the bone marrow match hasn't even been done yet."
"It's too late." Edward gritted his teeth.
It was already too late to do the tests, and after asking about the basic condition, they could only take the risk.
Half an hour later, the man arrived. After doing a blood test, they were ready to be wheeled in.
Edward temporarily contacted the director of this hospital and after qualifying for the procedure, he changed into a sterile suit and walked straight in.
The rest was a matter of waiting and time began to gum up. They waited outside the door until the light that was on went out and the two immediately walked over.
"Tentative success specifically we have to wait and see, if there is no rejection, it's a success."
The news was mixed, Alice's life was stretched for a while and then shrunk endlessly, Susan had no way to take time off work, so she had to rely on the two of them.
A week passed and nothing happened to Alice's body. Rather, what had been destroyed began to repair itself, a condition that surprised them both.
When Alice woke up, they made a point of telling her the news. Alice smiled along with them, looking at each of them with tears squeezing from the corners of her eyes.
"Where's the baby? Is it all right too." She couldn't help but ask after her again.
Susan wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and nodded, saying in a warm voice, "The baby is fine, it's still there."
Alice really relaxed and prepared to leave the hospital after a period of quiet recuperation. She had almost recovered enough to be able to walk, run and jump without taking a breath.
After a final check on her health, she wanted to go back. The previous house had been repossessed by the landlord and Richard had found another place to live with her.
Only, probably too much attention was paid to herself. Richard's bank card was deactivated, and Alice took her own out and delivered it to him solemnly, "Return it to you."
"No need." He laughed, his smile a little helpless, "I can earn it again."
"No need." He laughed, his smile a little helpless, "I can earn it again."
"It's okay, you keep the card." He pushed the card back and asked her seriously again, "Do you think I look like the kind of person who can't earn money?"
Alice paused, and then laughed. Richard laughed along with him, but to repay him, Alice personally cooked a nice meal of good wine and food to entertain them.
Susan looked at Alice, who was now looking well, and said as if nothing had happened, "By the way, your ex-husband is getting married in a few days."
The table all fell silent, Alice just froze for a moment, seeing them all stop, she couldn't help but lose her smile, "You don't think I still care about him, do you, let's eat."
They started again and Alice blinked, pushing down the pungent sourness in her heart. Susan gave her a look before eating her meal as if nothing had happened. It was as if nothing had been said earlier.
Only after she had sent them away did Alice quiet down. She couldn't help but think about their marriage, that Tony could get what he wanted.
……
She herself had survived, and these were all things that should be celebrated. Why ...... would she feel a little sad.
After wiping a handful of snot and tears, I still couldn't help but cry out in a low voice. After liking it for so many years, I finally gave up and also finally waited for the news that he was marrying someone else.
It was time to let go of the delusion in her heart.
She couldn't help but bury herself in her lap and calm down for a long time, and finally she could only fall asleep slowly.
When she woke up again, her eyes were so swollen that she couldn't tear them out of her eyes, so she took an ice cube from the fridge and put it on her eyelids. The news that Tony was getting married had never been so busy.
