Chapter 30 - Can't help but want to see her
Susan told her to stay at home for a few days, and when this storm had passed, she could probably live in peace.
Alice also stayed at home and didn't go anywhere, and Edward came over to see her from time to time.
Alice didn't feel bored anymore, they all coaxed her, and the hungry rumors outside did make it look like people were going crazy.
All this, though, was being dealt with.
Alice's condition is starting to stabilize, although a suitable bone marrow has yet to be found.
A puncture had to be done during the day, and a fetal test was done by the way afterwards. Richard looked at the list and couldn't help but be silent.
……
The person next to her was already in pain and cold sweat, Richard couldn't help but ask, "This child ......"
"I will give birth to it." Alice thought he also wanted to persuade himself to abort it, so he said so.
……
Richard wrinkled his eyebrows, "But you're like this now ...... have you thought about what happens when the child is born later?"
"No." She lowered her head, only ever thought about giving birth to this child, and then everything was none of her business.
Richard was helpless and added, "How about I and get married."
Alice looked at him and refused in an unusually serious manner, "No, there are some things I don't want to drag you down."
"I don't care" He screwed up his face and went through all the possible scenarios that could happen after the baby was born. Alice shook her head, "Even though I think you're so right it's impossible to argue with you, I'm still not going to agree with you."
He just watched as she rejected herself before slowly walking away. The mind was puzzled, wondering where the problem arose.
On the other hand, Tony used his power to squash the matter and then got someone else to wash his hands of it.
He didn't know why he did it, probably because of the guilt, remembering the back of her leaving that day, a little depressed, his heart felt like it was being gripped fiercely.
Having done this in silence, it was probably just to make amends.
For Alice, for Susan. He suddenly couldn't think of what he should do, and just subconsciously wanted to move closer to them.
It just so happened that recently Susan had a new film. He invested in it with hesitation, and then secretly went to the hospital that afternoon.
He couldn't resist, wanting to take a look at her now.
Walking across the familiar road, his heart suddenly tensed up. Slowly groping for what his first words should be.
It was hard to think of one and knocked on the door. No one answered from inside.
He knocked twice more, and still no one answered. Forgetting that she was here at this time, Tony wandered around the building, saw the caregiver who used to take care of her, and went over to her.
He asked, and when the care worker saw it was him, his face immediately darkened. Tony immediately pulled her back and hurriedly asked, "The Miss Smith you took care of before, where is she now?"
The care worker glanced at him and sarcastically said, "She left long ago."
"Gone where?"
"I don't know." She glanced at him again dryly and knocked his hand down, then quickly disappeared in front of him.
Reluctantly, Tony returned to the set.
Susan glanced at him in the mirror and saw that he was not looking well, but her own heart was too good to be true.
"Where's Alice? Where." He looked straight at her.
Susan asked rhetorically, "What's the point of looking for her? She's a poor woman, she's been tossed around like this by you guys, why don't you think she has enough life? Do you want to see her die in front of you before you are happy?"
Tony was blocked from speaking for a moment, and knowing that he would not get any news from Alice today, he gave her a deep stare before leaving the place.
……
The latter couldn't help but roll her eyes and muttered in a small voice, "It's really self-inflicted ......"
Only after he left, Kathy came looking for him on the back foot. Susan rubbed her own burgeoning temples, knowing exactly in his heart what they meant by coming.
"I don't know what is the purpose of Miss Smith coming here."
Susan looked at the person in front of her with a smile, that smile with big white teeth hanging was somewhat sinister, hating that it was meant to eat people.
Kathy pulled some things around and said some irrelevant things before starting to get to the point, "I heard that you and Tony have a good relationship, I'm just a little curious."
"It's good." Susan admitted for a moment while looking at her with a smirk and asked, "So are you here to settle a score with me now?"
"No, no." She waved her hand hastily, "I just wanted to know if he was coming over here looking for Alice."
"You're worried?" Susan moved over and looked up and down before shrinking back and saying slowly, "He's here about that, because I'm also on good terms with Alice."
Susan paused for a moment and glanced at Kathy, seeing her blush and said irritably again, "It feels like he's very nervous about Alice."
