Chapter 13 - The Divorce Agreement

After taking two bites, she raised her head to look at the person in front of her and asked, "Why did you suddenly come back."
Richard's face didn't look too good either, but his usual gentle and elegant demeanor didn't make him too annoyed, instead he said, "You eat first, let's talk about it when you're done."
The topic could not be brushed aside, so Alice could only keep her head down and continue eating. Eventually, he couldn't help but throw up, and his stomach returned to its empty state.
Richard was shocked and said angrily, "It's come to this, and you still won't tell me the truth. What's wrong with you."
Alice shut up and did not speak. This look aroused even more suspicion, and Richard couldn't care less, questioning, "Is it because Kathy has returned that he is treating you like this."
Silence fell in the room, and half a day later she looked at Susan again with the spoon in her hand and smiled, "This is a good meal."
Her face was pale and her smile even more feeble.
Susan didn't answer her, she just said helpfully, "Don't yell at her, she's not well, what if she passes out again later if you yell like that!"
Richard said in a cold voice, "Then tell me what's wrong with her."
Susan choked and didn't say anything.
Alice continued to be silent. At the end, Richard couldn't stand it and said indifferently, "Since you won't tell me, then I'll go ask Tony."
She still didn't say anything.
Richard quickly left the place and the door was closed.
Susan looked at his back and then at Alice, wrinkling her brows and asking, "Why didn't you tell him."
Alice only felt a headache as her things moved to the side. His stomach was hungry, but he had no more appetite to eat on.
"There are some things that it's better for him to stay out of." After all, these days were almost over. She struggled, the bottle next to her swayed, and Susan hurried over to hold it up, urging, "Be careful."
She looked up at the man before her and asked carefully, "Can you take me out for a walk?"
Susan was silent, and looking at the earnestness in her eyes, she finally agreed with a long sigh.
She held the frame, Alice got off the bed and followed her, and the two walked slowly. Although there were no words, they were tacitly in sync.
The garden at the back of the hospital was no longer crowded, and the night was miserable, Susan still couldn't help but ask, "The doctor said you were already in the late stages, what are you going to do with this child."
She was greeted by silence, and Susan sighed, a thousand helplessnesses lingering in her heart, having known her for less than a day and having to face this messy life with her.
The two of them circled around and came back just in time to see Tony about to walk in, Alice paused and let go of her hand.
When Susan was about to call out, Alice gestured at her and she immediately shut up.
Alice held the fishing rod herself and walked over, standing behind Tony and greeting her, "You're here."
The latter gave a start and looked back to see her in this state, his eyes darkened.
Alice was fine, the two of them were standing face to face, and for the first time she showed this kind of smile.
The moment he opened his mouth, the inexplicable guilt in his heart suddenly dissipated.
"I've already signed the divorce papers, I'm clean and don't want anything." She said softly. Her voice was as light as the wind.
Tony stared at the person in front of him, the kind of emotion that flowed from her body made him somewhat indistinguishable from Alice.
She was still talking, "I've already drafted my resignation letter and will hand it in."
"You think I'll like you back just because you're so desperate?" He gave a cold mockery.
……
The latter was stunned and looked at him with some confusion, "What do you ...... mean by that?"
Tony came down from the stairs and walked up to her, even if he wasn't standing tall, he was still a head taller than her and could still easily see her eyes.
"I didn't expect you to have a lot of tricks up your sleeve, do you think I'll fall for your trick? I'm telling you, you want a divorce and I'll grant you one."
The first sentence was a happy one, and she couldn't help but smile, "Thank you."
Tony was stunned, suddenly unable to understand the woman in front of him. Susan stood not far away and heard the conversation between the two of them clearly, and thought about her phone call, her heart nagging at her.
As if they were negotiating some kind of deal, Susan suddenly barged in between them, took Alice's hand and said to Tony without mercy, "Tony, not everyone's eyes are as blind as yours. You can toss and turn as you like, but here's the deal. If you regret it later, don't come back to harass her. She is very poor."
After she said this, she directly pulled Alice and left. Leaving that Tony alone, looking at them cross-eyed over there.
That look was like a clown.
……
"Hiss ......," she whispered.
Only then did Susan realize that she had accidentally pulled her syringe and hurriedly stopped, looking carefully at her hand.
The blood had returned and she adjusted her hand before it got better.
Seeing that she had caused trouble again, Susan hurriedly apologized, "I'm very sorry, I didn't mean to do that."
