Chapter 15 - To leave
Having eaten enough, she had some strength. It was just that Susan was still tossing and turning with her, which made her feel a little guilty, and she was busy saying, "I'm not occupying the bed here, so I'll just rest a little in the living room. You can go to bed first."
Susan gathered her hair and said in boredom, "I'm not very sleepy, tell me first what's wrong with you? Do you still want the baby?"
……
Being asked again, Alice nodded, sure of her answer, explaining in passing, "There's no one around. I want to have this baby, after all ...... it's the only thing I have left to think about."
Susan shook her head, "How silly. Haven't seen someone as stupid as you."
Alice blushed, and didn't say anything.
The latter only said, "Let me help you, seeing as you are so pitiful. I know a doctor friend, maybe he can help you."
Alice's eyes lit up and he was busy asking after him, "Really?"
"I don't know, but he has a hand in the medical world, and there is still a little hope that I can introduce you to him."
Alice smiled, animated and beautiful. This pale face, smiling for the second time, didn't look so frail anymore.
……
"I don't know how long I'll live, but I think ...... some things are bound to work if you stick with them." She rambled on, next to Susan quietly listened to her this chatter, knowing that she had not spoken to someone close to her for a long time, and did not interrupt, silently sitting beside her.
The two of them had been talking for a long time when Alice suddenly became dizzy. Susan was startled and helped her to rest in her room, and asked, "Where is your medicine?"
Alice shook her head in a daze and said, "I can't take medicine, I have a baby."
Susan had never seen such a stubborn person before, and poured her a cup of hot water to ease her down before leaving.
Richard also arrived afterwards and knocked on the door with such force that it was rather like banging on it.
She impatiently opened the door and was a little shocked to see it was Richard: "What are you doing here?"
"Is Alice here." He asked directly. And then feeling troubled, he pushed her out of the way and walked straight in.
Seeing that something was wrong, Susan immediately blocked in front of her and said angrily, "This is my house, she's not here. You get out of here or I'll call the police."
Richard was clearly not convinced and pushed her away to continue looking for someone. She rubbed her arm and called the police.
Watching Richard again as he was almost to his room, her pupils shrank and she hurriedly ran over, "Stop right there."
The latter didn't stop before she ran over again, blocking the door dead in front of her and looking at him, "This is my house, hurry up and get out!"
He still wanted to go inside, and Susan pushed him straight out, but before he could take two steps he was thrown off again.
……
"Eh ...... this is my house!" She dragged his hand outside with a deadly tug, and Richard wrinkled his brows. The more she was like this, the more proof there was that there were people in this room.
It was hard to drag the police over, Susan hurriedly ran over and opened the door to the two interrogators who were pointing at Richard, who was about to go to her room.
"He's still trying to break into my bedroom, there are all my possessions inside, you guys stop him quickly."
The two men were not ambivalent and immediately pounced on him. Richard had no way to deal with the two men directly, and was soon taken down.
As he was leaving, Susan greeted the two officers with a smile, and then raised an eyebrow at him in triumph.
The latter's face sank, but there was nothing he could do to break away.
The room quieted down before she rubbed her back. The place where she had been hit earlier still hurt now, and looking again at the person in the room, she still walked in helplessly.
Alice looked at her, his face calm, "He's gone?"
"I had the police take him away." She sat down beside Alice, looking at her miserable white face and the vague worry in those eyes, she couldn't help but speak up again and explain, "Don't worry, he'll be out soon."
Only then did Alice put her heart down and slowly said, "I'm troubling you with these things. He's been very good to me, but I don't want to let him down."
"Are you leaving?" Susan looked at her and said word for word, "I can arrange for you to leave here as soon as possible, get well at ease, and then have a healthy child."
Alice slowly closed her eyes, "It's impossible, I can only leave tomorrow."
"You want to leave, I can arrange for you to leave now."
Alice was puzzled, not quite understanding what she meant by this, the latter picked her own phone up and made a random call out, talking about the plane in front of Alice.
And then, the phone was thrown aside. Susan looked at her with a smile and said slowly, "Now, we just need to wait."
Amidst Alice's astonished gaze, there was a sudden humming sound outside the window and she turned her head. A white light shone through the window, and Alice subconsciously shielded her eyes and waited until the light had disappeared before dropping her hand.
She looked at Susan in surprise, not quite understanding her identity at this moment.
