Chapter 28 - Going to the wedding of her favourite person
Returning from the hospital, Alice pretended she was a normal person and started shopping for groceries and doing housework.
In order to repay Susan for the help she offered herself, she deliberately asked to become her cook.
The neighbor next door, Richard, also spends the whole day skirting the door to rub food.
For this reason, Susan seriously considered whether to keep a dog to pull and watch the door of her house. But she was afraid that Richard would kidnap Alice in a fit of rage, so she had to give up the idea.
But when the days are quiet, they always cause a few ripples. The news of Tony's engagement to Kathy soon spread.
Janet didn't bother to go to her, so she called her directly to tell her.
The company's main business is to provide a wide range of products and services to the public.
In the evening, Susan came back and when she saw that her face did not look right, she asked, "What's wrong?"
"Tony and Kathy, they're getting engaged." Alice said calmly.
Susan froze, she knew about this, but hadn't told Alice. And now that she knew, she was afraid that Kathy had said it.
Without answering directly, she walked over and asked softly, "So you, are you going to the wedding?"
"Of course." She suddenly raised a bright smile to her face. Looking at Susan's heart, she was puzzled by the taste in her heart and wondered what Alice was thinking.
When the engagement day arrived, Susan had her own royal make-up artist come over to do their make-up. Alice was already as white as a vampire and only looked good after applying the make-up.
As usual, Susan looked at herself in the mirror and was satisfied before she took Alice to the banquet.
Richard was one of them and followed her there. The three of them were crammed into Susan's luxury car, Alice silent, Susan and Richard staring at each other with wide eyes.
Although they had worked together once before, it was for Alice's sake, but now, both of them were eager to cut each other twice.
When they arrived at the engagement venue, Susan dragged her around with her, although she was a star herself, she was not very popular here.
The two of them walked around the villa, the rooms were all dressed up and there was an air of romance everywhere.
Alice walked among them, in a bit of a trance. When she and Tony were engaged, the wedding was a casual affair.
The wedding was just a casual affair.
Halfway down the street, Susan was called away, leaving her standing here alone. And then Richard came over and saw her standing over here, a little puzzled, "Why are you here?"
"I'm waiting for Susan." She looked around, there wasn't much here, and indeed it wasn't the place for her to be. It was just that she still wanted to see how they were before she left here.
Richard was silent, and then asked, "Let me show you around here."
"Hmm." She smiled a little.
The two of them wandered around the building, the sunlight pouring through the windows, and she was in a much better mood.
Walking down one long corridor after another, they suddenly looked out around the corner as they were taking their wedding photos, the two of them inexplicably harmonious under the camera.
Alice stood in the same place looking at them, Richard naturally also saw it, subconsciously glanced at Alice's expression, saw that she had no expression, the hanging heart also silently put down.
When they noticed the two, Kathy deliberately walked up to them holding Tony's hand and greeted Alice with a smile.
"How is Alice's health?"
Richard spoke up for her, "Not too bad."
Kathy glanced at him and smiled, " Richard is so gentle."
Alice also spoke up lightly, the fire in her tone a little thicker, "Without you guys coming over, this retreat has been a lot more peaceful."
Richard smiled faintly and said nothing.
The two sides were facing each other, and Alice's suddenly became uncomfortable, but still held on, secretly tugging on his sleeve.
Richard understood, looked at the two before him and spoke, "We'll go down first, see you later."
Kathy nodded and looked at their backs, not knowing whether it was intentional or not, and sighed, "They're such a good match."
Tony also looked at them, seemingly influenced by Kathy's words, and surprisingly also felt that the two of them were inexplicably harmonious at the back.
His heart was surprisingly a little jealous, but he still couldn't take his eyes off Alice's body.
Until they were out of sight, Tony hadn't even returned to his senses. Kathy couldn't help but sink his face when she saw Tony stare at them.
No one could take him away from her, not even Alice.
She tugged at Tony's sleeve and said with a wrinkled face in aggravation, "You're not allowed to look at other women."
Tony looked at her suddenly a little strange, but also did not ask more, that left Alice only in the heart of the thought, also did not pay much attention again.
It was just that Alice couldn't help the reluctance in her heart, she suddenly wanted Alice to die immediately. She began to fear that Alice would one day really snatch Tony away from her.
That fear began to spread unchecked in her heart. Only Tony didn't know that, and what followed was even more overwhelming.
Seeing this, Kathy couldn't help but wrinkle her brow. The worry in her heart intensified.
