Chapter 7 - Kathy is back

That was an idiotic statement, Tony gave her a blank look and sneered, "If you died, I could take Cathy as my wife, and with you less of an eyesore, my life would probably be beautiful."
"Is that so?" She asked herself softly and didn't say another word.
When the airport arrived, she parked her car in the special car park.
Tony was about to go out when he saw her not moving and stopped again, asking with a sneer, "Aren't you going to meet Cathy?"
"No." She refused in a hard voice, she had no intention of seeing Kathy.
Probably because Kathy had returned, Tony did not dislike her for the first time, and opened the door and got out of the car to go straight to the airport lobby.
When she saw him leave, Alice lifted the sleeve on her hand and probably used the force to pop open the needle hole, the tiny eye of the needle had already started to bleed.
She hurriedly took some paper and wiped herself clean, but it kept bleeding no matter how she wiped it, so in the end, she could only press it down, which made it better.
Alice looked down at her wound carefully, and suddenly felt a wave of dizziness, and before she could react, a hot liquid flowed out of her nose.
She subconsciously pulled the paper to plug her nose and immediately moved the rear view mirror in front of her, looking a little funny with the toilet paper in her nostrils.
Alice laughed twice and then laughed bitterly again. Who could be like her and be disliked by the people around her? I thought that marrying Tony was a gift from God to me.
But now, this gift was too heavy. She couldn't afford it anymore, the child in her belly, the cancer in her blood. The price for marrying Tony was her own life, and God was really merciless.
Thinking of the baby, she hurriedly called the number back. It took a long time before she answered the phone, and Alice felt herself shaking in fear, her hands beginning to tremble.
She shivered and held up the phone, pretending to be calm as she asked, "This is Alice, I want to ask if it's really blood cancer, and if that has any effect on the baby."
There was a pause, before a smile tried to ease her nervousness, "It won't be hereditary."
And then got serious again, "If it's early we suggest you give up on the baby and get treatment as soon as possible."
……
She felt a lump in her throat and the unease in her heart grew larger as Alice couldn't resist asking after her, "If it's late, is it ......"
"The chances of surviving are better if there is suitable bone marrow in the late stage. But so far, if after verification we still recommend that you give up on this child first and receive treatment."
What else was said there, she could no longer hear. The phone slowly slid off her ear, and even though it hadn't been verified, her heart had already acquiesced to the answer.
In that moment, she seemed to feel the cancer cells screaming madly in her veins as they raced from her heart and everywhere, not an inch of grass growing everywhere they went.
"Knock knock." There was a knock on the car window and she glanced at it blankly, seeing that it was Tony who immediately snapped it back down.
He saw two piles of toilet paper on her nose and couldn't help but snicker, "Alice, you're not here to be funny today, are you?"
"Cold." She gathered her emotions in her mind and answered indifferently. Resuming her look at him, she asked, "What else is there to do?"
"Open the door." He raised an eyebrow and looked at her with disdain, "Cathy just got off the plane and is now tired, go get the luggage then drive straight to the family."
He was really treating her like a chauffeur, directing her in an unceremonious manner. Alice wasn't in the mood to argue with him, and slammed the car window up before she took the contents out of her nose and threw them into her bag when they couldn't see.
When she got out of the car and saw Kathy, she too saw her and immediately ran over, taking her hand affectionately and smiling, "It's been a long time, my sister."
"Long time no see." Compared to her enthusiasm, Alice was a little cold. Her nose was getting sticky again, and she couldn't hold back the flow for a moment.
Seeing this, Kathy immediately tensed up, squeezing her shoulders and saying worriedly, "What's wrong with you? Do you want to go to the hospital?"
She shook her head in a muffled voice and pulled some toilet paper and put it up her nose. Tony came and put his arm around Kathy, seeing Alice's wretched appearance, a hint of disgust flashed in his eyes, but he could only make a perfunctory excuse because of Kathy's face.
"It's okay, she's just too busy working and on fire. Let's get in the car first."
Kathy glanced sideways at him, worry faintly visible in her eyes, but she could only follow him to the car.
Alice strained to put the gifts in the trunk before getting in the car, and Tony showed a rare doting smile as the two reunited after a long time.
The two of them were reunited after a long time. It's just that she pursed her lips and blushed, and her fingers gripped the steering wheel hard.
With Kathy around, Tony didn't bother to target her anymore.
The two of them were idle for a while when Kathy suddenly spoke up, her voice soft and timid, "Alice let's go back old home together later."
Tony petted her head dotingly and said softly, "She was going to go."
"Sorry, I'm a bit unwell, so I won't be going." She refused without hesitation.
……
Tony gave a start, next to Kathy began to seize up, the watery look was even more pitiful to me, she looked at Alice bashfully, aggrieved, "Did I do something wrong to provoke Alice, I know I shouldn't have come back, it's just that two years have passed, I miss my parents' ...... "
"It's none of your business." He sank his face, seeing Kathy on the verge of tears he also felt some heartache. Looking at Alice's gaze is also much colder, "She this is not to see you well, you do not need to care."
Alice was indifferent.
"I ordered you to accompany me to the family banquet as a superior and you are going to refuse?" He asked in a deep voice.
