Chapter 9- I am Alex

The person who was at the door rushed to me and grabbed me by my neck.

“Who are you and what are you doing in the Alpha’s private cabin?.” The person asked me in fury.

Even if I am to answer the person, I won’t know what to say! Moreover I can’t breathe well, more or less talk with the way he is holding my neck. I tried to remove the grip from my neck but all my attempts were rather useless. he Is very strong since he is a werewolf.

“. .I .. I c-can't.. breathe!”. I managed muttered while gasping for air through my mouth.


“I will let you go! But don’t try to do anything funny after that because you won’t like it. Don’t forget that you are a human. There is no way you can stand against me! Do you understand?”. The man asked me and I nodded my head. He let go of his grip on me after that.

I bent over and began to cough as I tried to regulate my breathing.

“So back to the question? Who are you and what are you doing here?”. The man asked me again.

I looked up and took a good look at the man now. He is as tall and huge as Alpha Adonis. He was good looking too although not as good looking as Alpha Adonis.

“Don’t let me ask you again!”. The man threatened to bring me out of my thoughts.

“.. I …. He …. He . .. brought me out here?”. I stuttered. I am not sure if I should tell him that I am the Alpha’s Mate. I don't know who he is and what he could do with the piece of information. So I decided to play dumb.

“Who brought you here?”. The man asked me.


“T… The man .. he said .. . This is his house!”. I uttered.

“Are you talking about this man?.” The man brought out his phone and showed me a picture of Alpha Adonis.


I stare at the picture before I nod my head. I wonder why he has Alpha Adonis pictures but then I guess it’s normal for Pack members to have the pictures of their Alpha.


“Damn Adonis! I can’t believe he is now fucking a human and not only that, he even brought the human back to the pack!”. I heard the man murmuring.


“Have a seat and we will wait for him!.” The man beacon on a sofa and he also sat down.

Well that’s definitely not what I was expecting from him. I eyed the man suspiciously.

“You are not going to harm me?”. I questioned him.

The man raised his brows and laughed.

“Harm you? Not yet. For the fact that Adonis brought you here, you must be important to him. He will have my head if any harm comes to you.” The man said to make me relax. I noticed how he keeps referring to Adonis without putting the “Alpha” they must be close to.


“So which city are you from?”. The man asked me.

I kept quiet because I was afraid to give him an answer. Because I know that if by chance he finds out that I am Taifun’s son, he is going to have my head.

Jason’s POV

For the past two days, Adonis has been acting really suspicious and to confirm that, he said he would be staying at the cabin for sometime. That again is so unlike him. Adonis only goes to the cabin when he wants to think and hardly spends the night there. So for the fact that he is talking about spending some days there, he must be hiding something. That I am very sure of.

I tried to get him to talk about what he is up to but he refused and so I decided to find out about it myself. After we were back from the dungeon, Xander decided to take a rest in his room in the pack house so I decided to use that opportunity and find out what he is hiding.

I went to the cabin and found the light turned on. I tried to open the door but it was locked so I knocked. I heard footsteps inside the cabin and became on alert.

Did Adonis first me and come back or what? Adonis would never allow anyone to come here because this is his personal heaven.

I knocked again and the door clicked and someone opened the door. I look to see a petty man standing at the door. The clothes on his body smelled like Adonis but his own body smelled like a human.

A human? What in the name of the goddess is a human doing in Adonis cabin. I know human and how stupid and thoughtless they can be. He must have been hiking or wandering in the forest and found the cabin. Or he may be one of these humans that usually sneak into the pack to visit their parents but that still doesn’t explain what he is doing here.



I quickly rush to him and grab him by the neck tightly.


“Who are you and what are you doing in the Alpha’s private cabin?.” I ask him in fury.


The boy didn’t talk but tried to remove the grip on his neck but all his effort was useless. I am a werewolf. A beta for the matter of fact while he is just a weak human boy.


“. .I .. I c-can't.. breathe!”. The boy stuttered as he gash for air through his mouth.


“I will let you go! But don’t try to do anything funny after that because you won’t like it. Don’t forget that you are a human. There is no way you can stand against me! Do you understand?”. I said to the boy and he nodded his head. I let go of him then.


Immediately I let go of him, he bent down and started to cough and he tried to even his breath.


“So back to the question? Who are you and what are you doing here?”. I asked him again after giving him a moment to steady his breathing.

The boy looked up to analyze me and I did the same to him too. He looks between the age of seventeen to nineteen. He also had an innocent look that made his look cute.

“Don’t let me ask you again!”. I threatened him when I noticed that he was lost in his thoughts.


“.. I …. He …. He . .. brought me out here!”. the boy stuttered.


He? Who the hell is he talking about?

“Who brought you here?”. I ask him.


“T… The man .. he said .. . This is his house!” The boy uttered.


“Are you talking about this man?.” I brought out my phone and showed him the picture of Adonis. The boy nodded, confirming my suspicions.

Why the hell will he bring a human to the pack? Doesn’t he know the trouble he can get into when people find out about this?


“Adonis, where are you?.” I mind linking him.

“In my room? Why did something happen?.”. Adonis asked me.

“Well I am in your cabin. There is a boy …” I started to say but was cut by him.

“What the f*ck are you doing in my cabin without my permission? I am on my way and if you harm the boy, you will regret it!.” Adonis said and closed the mind link. Well that was intense.

Adonis defending a human? That’s new.

“Damn Adonis! I can’t believe he is now fucking a human and not only that, he even brought the human back to the pack!”. I muttered.

“Have a seat and we will wait for him!.” I took a seat and beacon on the boy to do the same.

The boy eyed me suspiciously as if it is a trap.

“You are not going to harm me?”. The boy questioned me. I raise my brow at him and burst into laughter.


“Harm you? Not yet. For the fact that Adonis brought you here, you must be important to him. He will have my head if any harm comes to you.” I said and the boy relaxed and took his seat.

“So which city are you from?”. I asked him but he didn’t respond. I raised my brows at him and the boy shake in his seat.

“ I… I … can’t tell!”. The boy stuttered. I really need to stop referring to him as the boy.

“What is your name then boy. Surely you can tell me… I asked him.


“A-Alex!”.


“Alexander or just Alex?”. I asked.


“.. J- Just Alex!”. He stuttered.

Why was he stuttering? Perhaps he is a stammer? I thought to myself.


“So I am curious, how did you end up here?”. Curiously asked.

And before the boy could answer me, the cabin’s front door opened.
