Chapter seventeen

Alex POV
“That’s so…..” I started to say but slept silent when I heard the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs.
Both Alpha Wick and I Immediately become on alert.
Soon the footsteps became closer and closer. We couldn’t see who it was since the dungeon was dark. We could only wait for the person.
Soon the person arrived in front of us. It’s a petty woman wearing a gown. She is also holding a black nylon by her arm. Her face is covered with a long veil and so I couldn’t describe her face.
“Ella you are here quite early today!.” Alpha Wick exclaimed.
“O so this is the infamous Ella then!.” I said to myself.
“Well there Isn’t much work to do in the pack house today. I can see you have company, who might this be?.” She asked, turning her attention to me.
“My new buddy. The guards brought him in today. Alex say hello to Ella. Ella, this is Alex.” Alpha Wick introduced.
“Nice to meet you Alex.” Ella said in a warm voice.
“Likewise!.” I answered.
“I brought your food. I don’t know if it will be enough for the both of you. I could sneak in more for you.” Ella explained as she passed the black nylon to Alpha Wick.
“Thank you Ella. How is the pack house today?”. Alpha Wick inquired from her.
“Well a little bit unusual. Your brother Rick is out of the pack for a meeting whereas Alpha of the River Blue Pack is here!.” Ella filled Alpha Wick with everything that's going on in the pack.
I stopped listening to her when she said “River Blue Pack” that’s Adonis pack. Does that mean that he is here?.
“Emm sorry please the Alpha that came. Is it Alpha Adonis?.” I asked because I wanted to be sure that it’s him.
“Yes.”. Ellas answered.
I sighed in relief when I heard that. Adonis is here! I knew that he wasn't going to forsake me.
“Is that the pack your mate is?.” Alpha Wick asked me when he saw the relief on my face.
“Yes!.” I answered. I am not so sure if I should inform him that Alpha Adonis is my mate or not.
“Well then if you are lucky, it might reach his ears that you are here. Does he know about you?.” Ella asked me.
“Yes he does!.” I answered.
“What is he doing here? This is the second time he is coming here in a single week. Do you have an idea?.” Alpha Wick curiously asked.
“Well rumors have it that he is here to choose between Luke or Lucy to be his Luna.” Ella explained.
“What!.” I shouted making both Wick and Ella look at me .
“Are you alright?.” Alpha Wick asked me.
How can I be alright? When my mate is here to look for a bride for himself.
“I.. I am fine!” I stuttered in a hurt voice.
“Don’t believe it Alex. It’s just rumors. It’s just rumors! After all Adonis has already accepted you to be his mate”. I prep talk myself as I breath in and out to calm myself.
“I have to get going now because Mam Sally starts to look for me. Hopefully I will be back later in the evening.” Ella announced.
“Okay. Thank you Ella for everything I really appreciate!.” Alpha Wick sweetly said as he stared at Ella.
“It’s my pleasure Alpha!.” Ella said blushing.
Wait? What is going on here?
I stood looking at them feeling like a third wheel.
After some minutes, they finally stopped their staring contest and Ella turned to leave.
“Mam Ella please wait..” I called out to her.
“Yes Alex?.” Sue turned back at me.
“Can you please help me and inform Alpha Adonis that I am here? I don’t know if it will be possible. I will be grateful.” I asked her.
“Well I can’t promise you but I will try my best.” Ella answered and started walking away.
“Thank you!” I shouted after her.
“So why did you tell me that you have something going on with Alpha Adonis?.” Alpha Wick asked me after a minute of silence.
Surprised at his question I stuttered; “W-What makes you think there is something going on between two of us?”.
Alpha Wick laughed; “O kid I wasn’t born yesterday. Moreover your expression when they announced that he is here to pick Luna gave you away.” Alpha Wick pointed out.
“Em… he is my mate!.” I muttered in a low voice.
“Judging from your expression I guess he didn’t reject you then?”. Alpha Wick asked.
“Nope! He accepted the bond.” I answered.
“What about the pack? Did he tell the pack about you? Or did he introduce you as his mate?.” He asked again.
“Well we have only known each other for three days now. I just met his Beta. I will stay at his cabin.” I explained.
“What that fucker…” Alpha Wick said and muttered some unknown words.
“Is anything wrong?.”
“Not at all!.” Alpha Wick gave me a weak smile.
“Okay. What’s going on between you and Ella?.” I asked about changing the topic of our conversation.
“Nothing!.” Alpha Wick instantly answered.
I raised my brow at him showing him that I don’t believe a word he says.
“I am tired of standing. Let’s go have a seat so that we can eat!.” Alpha Wick said and started to walk deeper into the cell.
I followed behind. The deeper we went, the darker the cell became. We arrived at the end of the cell and there is a door there.
Alpha Wick opened the door and entered and I followed after him. I was surprised at the amazing view that greeted me once I opened the door.
