Chapter eleven- lost

“Well I always enjoyed helping my mom to cook when I was little and since then, it has stuck to me.” I said with a smile on my face as I recall all those moments I spent with mom in the kitchen.


“You must really be close to your mom by the look of things. I am sorry for your loss.” Alex consoled me.



“I was. I do miss her. Actually both of them. I am sure they are in a better place now!”. I emotionally stated. Talking about my parents it’s still a sore topic for me. I was the only child of my parent and so we where very close to them so when I heard of their death, I was ready kill myself and join them.

Alfred my gamma had found me just as I wanted to take poison. Him and Jason dragged me to the shaman’s house where I stayed until I was better.


“From what I heard and read about your parents, they must really been wonderful people and I
Am sure that they are in a better place now!.” Alex started and came closer today and hugged me.


I smiled at his action. We stayed like that for some time before I left him. We both went to the kitchen and cooked dinner together.


After eating, Alex said he wanted to receive some air and so I took him to my personal spot near the cliff where I usually stay to think.



“What do you think of this place?.” I asked him.


“Well it’s a perfect example of serenity!.” Alex said and squirreled around.

I raised my brows at me and burst into laughter.


“You know Alex, you are really something else. Anyway, can you swim?.” I asked him.


“Yes? Why?”. Alex asked, looking confused. I don’t blame him though. There is no River not pond, just the cliff.


“Because we are going swimming!.” I started and pointed at the cliff. Alex's eyes widened and he shook his head.

“The cliff? You want me to jump off the cliff? No way, I am afraid of heights!” Alex declared.


“Humans! Is there anything they are not afraid of?.” I murmured to myself.



“The cliff isn’t that deep. I have been jumping into it since I was seven years old.” I confessed to him.



“Easy for you to stay. You are a werewolf!.” Alex pointed.



“So what if you are a human? I have seen humans do sky diving and cliff jumping. Don’t worry, I am going to be here. I am not going to let anything happen to you.” I assured him.


“Nope! I think I am going to stay here and watch you swim!.” Alex said in a final tone.


“Alright, suit yourself.!” I said and just as I was about to take off my shirt, I felt panic through the pack’s mind link.

“Alfred, what Is going on!”. I asked him.


“Rogues! Rogues have attacked the Pack!” Alfred exclaimed.


“Damn it!”. I curse out!


“Is everything okay?”. Alex asked me.


“Yes! Just some issues at the pack. I need to go. Will you be waiting for me here, or will you wait in the cabin?.” I asked him as I got ready to leave.


“I will be fine here!.” Alex said.


“Okay. Till I am back!.” I pecked him and quickly left.


“Where are you?.” I mind linked Alfred.


“The southern part of the pack!.” Alfred answered. That’s not far from where I was. I shifted into my wolf form and ran to the battle field.


Immediately I came to the battle field, the rogues felt my aura and most of them moved back.

After fighting for almost one hour, we were able to kill all the rogues.

I excused myself from the field and left the warriors to clear the death bodies laying all over the ground. When I reached the cliff side, I could not find Alex there so I thought he must have gone back to the cabin.


But to my surprise, I went to the cabin and couldn’t find him there. At this point, my wolf and I have become very restless and worried.


“Jason I need you to come over to the cabin immediately, Alex is missing!”. I ordered through the mind link.

Alex POV

Adonis and his beta seemed to be communicating with each other before they decided to go and talk in private.


When they both came back from their “talk”, the atmosphere between the two of them was tense. I wonder what they both are about. I could bet on my last penny that it has to do with me.

“ It's fine meeting you. Although I have to get going now. We will catch up next time!”. Jason Adonis’ Beta said before he left the cabin.


“Are you two okay?.” I ask him with a concerned voice.


“Yes of course, why did you ask?.” Adonis asked


“Well both of you seem tense!.” I pointed out.

“It’s nothing! Are you hungry?.” He asked me to change the topic.

“A little bit.” I uttered


“Okay then let me make us something to eat!. Adonis said and headed for the kitchen while I followed behind him.


“Is it normally for you to cook as an Alpha?.” I curiosily ask him. From what I read about werewolves, the omegas do the cooking and other domestic jobs. So I find it unbelievable that a powerful Alpha like him knows how to cook.


“Well I always enjoyed helping my mom to cook when I was little and since then, it has stuck to me.” Adonis said with a smile on his face. I am sure he is remembering all the memories he shared with his mother.


“You must really be close to your mom by the look of things. I am sorry for your loss.” I consoled him.



“I was. I do miss her. Actually both of them. I am sure they are in a better place now!”. Adonis emotionally stated.


“From what I heard and read about your parents, they must really been wonderful people and I
Am sure that they are in a better place now!.” I said and came closer to him and hugged him. I know that it wasn’t easy for him. Imagine losing both of your parents at the same time and then you had to grow up and take responsibility for a whole pack.


We stayed like that for some time before I left him. We both went to the kitchen and cooked dinner together.
