Chapter 29

Alpha Adonis POV


Almost an hour later, Lucy came back with the shaman following after her.


“Greetings!.” I greeted him with a little bow. In my pack, we treat shamans with ultimate respect because they are the spiritual guide of the pack.


“Alpha Adonis, it's nice to see you. The last time I saw you, you were a baby.” The shaman said.


I looked at him confused because I can’t remember meeting him but then he did say I was a baby when he saw me. As a baby I was then, I couldn’t possibly remember meeting here.



“Let’s get going.” Lucy announced.



We all entered my car with the shaman sitting at the passenger's seat while Lucy sat at the back.


I drove us back to the dungeon. Alpha Wick and Elsa were seated at one side while Alex was sitting at the other.



“Levi!” Alpha Adonis addresses the shaman.



“Alpha! It’s really you. I had my doubts when your daughter briefly explained things to me earlier on.” The shaman exclaimed.



“I found it unbelievable too. Do you have an explanation for it? Why am I trapped in my brother’s body and he in mine?”. Alpha Wick impatiently asked.



“Your brother use black magic on both of you. It’s a black spell called “spirit switch”. Where by the minds of the two parties involved will be switched. I felt it within him and when I questioned him about it, he send people after me. That’s one of the reasons why I made my forest fortified. Then I didn’t get the clear picture of what was happening but I still thought you were still the one”. The shaman explained.




“Is that the reason I couldn’t feel my wolf too?”. Alpha Wick helplessly asked.


I now understood why he couldn’t leave the dungeon even if he wasn’t too. Without his wolf and also bearing the face of an evil man, he will surely be killed.




“The black magic is suppressing your wolf. But not the worry, as soon as everything is back to normal. And you are in your own body. Your wolf will be back as strong as before.” The Shaman Exclaimed.



“Is there a way you can reverse or break the spell?”. Lucy asked.



“There have to be a way. Let me have a check.” The shaman said.


He brought out a clabbash from the tote bag he was hanging on his shoulders.


He held the calabash in his hand and started to pour purple powder on the floor in a circular pattern.


After he had completely drawn a circle using the purple power, he kept the clabbash on the floor outside the circle and then he removed his shoes.



Next he entered into the circle sitting on the ground. He then invited Alpha Wick to do the same. Alpha Wick took off his shoes and entered into the circle and sat opposite the Shaman. The Shaman held his hands and then started uttering incantations. After a while the purple power rises above and covers them.


After a while, it stopped and miraculously or should I say magically the purple power vanished into the air.



“So….?” Alpha Wick asks the Shaman as they both get up from the ground.



“The night before the incident, did you and your brother have any physical contact with each other?.” The shaman asked.



“We shake hands if I can remember correctly.” Alpha Wick answered.



“That’s it. That's how he rubbed the black magic on you. In order for it to be broken, you must shake hands again.” The Shaman declared.



That’s it? I didn’t expect it to be this easy.



“Okay so now we just need to look for how to make that happen.” Lucy stated.


We started making plans on how to ambush Rick when he comes back tomorrow. We ended up making a good plan. I will be here to watch it happen but sadly, I have to go back to my pack.



After hatching up a good plan, it was decided that Alpha Wick should remain here for a good plan so as not to arouse suspicion. While the rest of us are to go back and act normal.


I said my goodbyes to Alpha Wick and Lucy, Elsa, Alex and I went back to the pack house.


We meet Luke and Miya eating dinner at the dining hall.


“I didn’t expect to see you both out this early. I thought you might take a week.” Lucy teases and both of them start to blush.




“Lucy!”. Luke called out.



“What? I was just telling the truth.” Lucy innocently answered.



“Alpha were you able to find the human?”. Miya asked, diverting the topic of discussion.



I pointed at Alex.



“That’s him? He is surely not who I expected.” Miya voiced out her thoughts.



“Did you talk to your brother and your parents?.” I asked her, ignoring what she said.



“Yes.” Miya answered.



“Good. Are you staying here or what’s your plan?.” I asked Miya.



“I am staying here. In a week's time, Luke and I will pay a visit to my parents.” Miya explained.



“Are you sure that’s what you are?.” I asked her. I want to make sure that whatever decision she is making right now is her choice not someone else.



“Yes Alpha. Wherever my mate is, I want to be there. Although I must admit, I will miss you and the pack.” Miya exclaimed.


Her mate Luke growled when she said ‘I will miss you’ . Someone seems to be getting possessive.



“I can’t say the same to you. I am glad you are gone. At least now Jason and I can rest from your noise making.”



“O please I know that you will secretly miss me. Jason cried when I told him that I won’t be coming back.” Miya exposed.



“Whatever makes you feel better. It's getting late already, I need to be on my way now.” I announced.



“Alright Alpha Thank you for the visit.” Lucy expressed.



“You are welcome. I wish you the best of luck. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to give me a call.” I told her referring to the matter concerning her father and her uncle.



“I will.” She smiled at me.


I hugged Miya and shook hands with Luke before Alex and I left.



“Is there anything you want?.” I asked Alex when we entered the car.



“No, I am fine! Thank you for coming to get me.” Alex appreciated me.



“Listen, you don’t have to thank me. It’s my job. I will always be there for you whenever you need me.” I promised him and pulled him into a hug.


I felt inner peace in my heart now that my mate is finally back in my arms.


After a while, I let go of him and started driving the car.



“It’s going to be an hour drive. Do you want to listen to music or watch a movie?.” I asked Alex.



“I watched a movie?.” Alex asked excitedly.



“Yeah sure.!” I turn on the car television which is in the form of the rear mirror and then pass the remote to him.



Alex ended up finding a movie which to start to watch.


About forty minutes into the drive, I started feeling very uncomfortable as if something bad was about to happen.


I immediately slowed down the car.



“Turn off the television.” I ordered Alex.



“Is something wrong?.” Alex asked me as he switched off the TV.



“That’s what I want to find out. Stay in the car.” I ordered him and got out of the car.


I started to look around to see if I could figure out what was wrong. The road was empty and it was just our car. Since it was alright dark, I couldn’t clearly see the forest since I am still in my human form.



“Jason, I need you to come and meet me on the outskirts of the pack. I am like twenty minutes away.” I mindlink Jason.



If anything should happen l, at least he will be here.



I decided to head back to the car so as to ask Alec to lock it up. I want to shift into my wolf form and survey the forest.


Just as I turned to head back to the car, a sharp pain hit me on my shoulder and I fell to the ground.



I put my hand on my back and removed the object that was the source of the pain.



It was an arrow laced with silver.


Shit! It must be the hunters.



“Jason, I need you to get here very fast! I think I have been ambushed by the hunters.” I mindlink Jason.



“That’s very bad. I am on my way. Please don’t do anything stupid.” Jason answered.



I looked around but I couldn’t exactly locate the direction the arrow came from.



I managed to stand up before I was hit with another arrow again.



“Adonis!”. Alex shouted as he got out of the car.



“Alex go back into the car and lock it”. I ordered him.



“No! I wouldn’t leave you here!.” Alex cried out as he started to come closer.


“Go back into the car now!.” I shouted.


I needed him to be in the car. Because he will be safe. The car is bulletproof and so no harm will come to him.



Alex stood without moving an inch.


“Please….” I begged him.



He looked confused for a moment before he went back into the car.


At Least he is safe.


I removed the arrow and threw it on the ground. The arrow was again laced with silver. I was beginning to get weak.


A decided to take a risk and make a race to the car.



“That’s not a good idea!.” Kane, my wolf , weakly warned me. The silver must be getting to him.



“I can take chances. It’s either that or I will stay here and get killed.” I told him.


I took a deep breath and got up at speed and rushed to the car.


Just as I was about to enter the car, I felt a very intense pain like never before hit me on my back. I immediately fell to the ground.
