Chapter thirty one

Alpha Adonis POV

“You know, this is going to be the biggest scandal of the century. Imagine an Alpha king like you is mated to a hunter. It would make a book though, ‘The Alpha king’s Mate is a hunter’. What do you think?. Jason asked me.

“What do I think? Currently, the only thing I am thinking about is how to shut your mouth permanently.”. I sincerely told him.

Jason immediately kept out.

“Maybe it’s the goddess' way of punishing you because you are always rude to me.” Jason said in his mind. Since the mindlink is not close, I heard him clearly.

“Say that again!.” I dared him.

Jason's eyes immediately widened. He must have now understood that. I heard him.

“Ahhh!.” He let out a scream and rushed out of the room.

Stupid boy. I pity whoever is going to be his mate. I head into the bathroom to freshen up.

When I came out, I found a set of clothes kept on the bed. Jason must have gotten the clothes for me. I like how he has sense sometimes.

I put on my clothes and went out of the room. I am actually very impressed by the size of the treehouse. It’s very large and has a smart system which makes every electronic device in the building automated.

I walked to the lounge room where Albert and Jason are sitting down.

“Good morning Alpha. How are you feeling now?.” Albert asked me.

“I am fine Albert and for the hundredth time, I am okay with you calling me by my name in private.” I told Albert.

Albert my gamma it’s also mine and Jason’s age mate. Ever since I became the Alpha, he always calls me ‘Alpha’ and never with my name again even when we are alone. I have told him times without a number that it is okay for him to call me by my name but all the time, he sticks with the Alpha.

“How come you have never told me not to call you that?”. Jason asked, sulking.

“If I had it my way, I will make you call me Alpha and salute me all the time.” I told him.

“Sometimes it's as if you don’t like me!”. Jason lamented.

“It’s not as. Most times I don’t like you.” I truthfully told him. Jason can really be a pain in the ass.

“Breakfast is ready already. Let’s go and eat before it gets cold.” Albert answered not giving Jason an opportunity to answer back.

We all went into the kitchen. Just as I was about to sit and eat, my mind went back to Alex.

I wonder how he is going now. His father would really torture him for escaping. Thinking about it made me lose my appetite. I can’t be eating while my mate is out there probably being tortured to death.

I decided to make a cup of coffee for myself.

“Aren’t you going to eat Alpha?”. Albert asked me.

“I don’t have an appetite. You two can eat.” I gave them a go ahead. Whenever a food is being shared, the first in rank present must have eat before the rest do except even the permission.

I took the cup of coffee and went into the lounge room and waited for them to finish eating so that we could start thinking of plans on how we could rescue Alex.

When they were done, they came and met me in the sitting room.

“Albert, I will need the map of the entire forest. Is it possible to get it?.” I asked him.

“Yes, sure. We have it somewhere around. Let me check it for you” Albert said and left the room.

“What do you need the map for?”. Jason asked.

“ To trace the location of the hunter’s camp of course.” I answered him.

Surely I know that the hunters are camping somewhere in the forest or in its surroundings. Because the first time I met Alex, he came out of this forest and yesterday again, that was the direction the hunters followed.

“Don’t tell me you are thinking about attacking the hunter’s camp?.” Jason asked.

“That’s the plan.”

“Are you nuts? That’s insane. You are taking yourself to the enemy's camp.” Jason complained.

“Watch the way you speak to me. Don’t forget your position.” I warned Jason.

“Well I am sorry Alpha. But since you are planning on killing yourself. Count me out of the plan.” Jason exclaimed.

“You were never even in the plan to begin with.” I informed him.

Jason stares at me for a minute before he walks out of the treehouse.

“Are you okay Alpha?.” Albert asked me.

“Jason was only looking out for you

“I am fine! Did you get the map?.” I asked him.

“Yes, here is it!.” He waved a big wrapped sheet that was in his hand.

I collected it and sprayed it on the table. I stood for a moment to study the forest.

The forest is one of the biggest and so it was a little difficult to get the map.

After hours of analyzing the map, we were able to mark the location of the camp hunters.

Albert and I got our camping bag ready with the equipment and tools that might be useful to us.

“Are you sure you are willing to go with me?.” I asked Albert. Even though I am the Alpha, I don’t like forcing people to do what they don’t want to do.

“I am willing Alpha!”. Albert answered.

“Alright, let’s go.” I told him.

We picked our bags and went out of the treehouse.

Just as we started to walk; I saw Jason standing there.

“Like seriously, do you think I will allow you to do this by yourself?”. Jason asked.

“I was actually hoping you won’t.” I told him with a smile.

“You are lucky I can’t leave without you. So if we are about to die, then let’s die together.” Jason stated.

“Thank you brother.” I told him with a smile.
