Chapter thirty three

Alpha Adonis POV



“Like seriously, do you think I will allow you to do this by yourself?”. Jason asked.



“I was actually hoping you won’t.” I told him with a smile.



“You are lucky I can’t leave without you. So if are about to die, then let’s die together.” Jason stated.



“Thank you brother.” I told him with a smile.

Jason is more than just a friend but rather my brother. We might not be blood brother but the bond between us is thicker than blood.



“I am sorry for what I said earlier on, I
was just looking out for you.” Jason apologized.



“It’s fine! I knew you were. I am sorry for how I reacted too.” I apologize.



“Brothers for life!.” Jason uttered and gave me his hand for a shake.



“Brothers for life!”. I repeated and shook his hand.



“So what’s the plan?”. Jason asked me.



“Well we were able to get the location of the hunter’s camp. We need to first survey it before we know the right method of attack.” I explained to him.



“Sounds good!.” Jason stated.


We kept on walking and after a while, we arrived at the outskirts of the hunters camp. We were still some kilometers away from the camp but we could see the buildings. All the buildings are mad of wood.



“We need to be careful from here. There will be traps laid out.” Albert said. He brought out the trap detector.


The trap director is a small hand device that works just like a mental detector except inside of finding metals, it’s fine trap.



Albert started to use the trap detector in other to make sure that we don’t step on any trap.


We were able to successfully dough a lot of traps. We moved closer and hid behind a bush in a close range from the hunters camp. There were alot of wooden cabin all over the place.
There were also a few men guarding the place.




“So now that we are here, what’s the plan?.” Jason asked.


“We need to survey the area and discover an opening. We will wait until their guard is lose. We can bomb the whole camp with tear gas then and carry out our operation smoothly.” I explained the plan to Jason and Albert.



“That’s good plan. We need to survey all the areas of the camp then. You can stay here while Albert and I will go explore both of the side.” Jason suggested.



“That’s a good idea. Keep it low. Remember that we are in the enemies territory.” I adviced them.




“Okay boss.” Jason hailed and he and Jason both went the opposite direction leaving me behind the bushes.



A few moment after they left, I heard movement coming. I decided stay put and get ready to attack who so ever it is.


Immediately I saw the shadow of the person. I attack, I brought my fangs and grab the person the neck ready to the tear the person into the pieces.


The person try to scream but I was fast enough to place my hand on the mouth of the mouth of the person.


“Listen, I will remove my hand from your mouth but if you decide to scream, I will tear your throat before anybody comes to help you. Am I clear?.” I whispered into the ears of the person.


The person who is wearing a hoodie made no sign to show that he had listen to me.


“I said are we clear?.” I growled at the person as I press his neck tighter. The person nod his head continuously.


When I let go of his neck, he started to cough trying to catch his breath. I took that time to study the person. He was pette just like Alex.



“Remove your hoodie and turn around.” I instructed.


The person pulled his hood down and turned around surprisingly it was a girl.



“What’s your name?.” I asked her.


The girl stood there shaking and didn’t say anything.



“Listen, I am not going to harm you. So just try to cooperate with me.” I told her in a low voice trying to sound nice. I just hope it works.




“L-Lily”. The girl stuttered.



Before I could give her a response, I heard a groaned from behind and I turn to find Albert standing with dark eyes.



“Mate!!”. I heard Albert growl. I surely wasn’t excepting that.



Albert match to were we are and immediately reached out for Lily. Lily in return was frightened and moved back from Albert.


Albert let out a groan hurt taht his mate moved away from him. That’s a very hurtful experience for a wolf. But tehm I understand Lily’s reaction. Afterall, she is human.


“Albert calm down. She is scared.” I told him.


Albert still refuse to back down. His wolf must be control.


“Albert!”. I called him name using my Alpha aura and he immediately submitted.


“Sorry Alpha!.” Albert apologized bearing his neck in submission.



“It’s alright. Take it slow. She is human”. I adviced him.


“Seriously? That’s a bad idea. Look at where taking it slow with our mate has brought us.” Kane cautioned me. I blocked him off because I don’t have time for his barking.


“It’s okay Lily. We aren’t going to harm you.” I assured her.


I kicked at Albert giving him a signal to also assure her that we aren’t going to harm her.



“Sorry for frightening you. I mean no harm. I am Albert by the way.” Albert calmly introduced as he gave her a hand to shake.



“I am Lily.” Lily shaked Albert’s hand blushing. It seems she is smitten by him already. That will make his work easy.



“Nice to meet Lily.” Albert said smiling at her. They both stood hands still in each other and smiling at themselves.
As much I think that is sweet, We don’t have time for this . We need to rescue my mate.



I cleared my throat and brought them back to reality.



“So Lily, do you live in the hunter’s camp?”. I asked pointing at the direction she was coming from.


Lily looked at me scared but didn’t say anything.
I decided to threaten her to get answers from her. Albert must have sense that because he looked at me with pleading eyes.



“Alpha please let handle this.” Albert pleaded.



“One shot.” I said to him.



“Lily we are looking for a friend of yours Alex. we were hoping of you know about him. He was taken by the hunters yesterday.” Albert calmly asked Lily.



“Alex? As in Alex the lord’s son?.” Lily suspiciously asked.



“Yes him. Do you know were he is?” I impatiently asked her pleased that we are getting somewhere.



“Yes. Alex is my friend since childhood. How do you guys know him?.” Lily questioned us.



“He is the alpha….” Alfred started to say before we I cut him off.



“He has been staying with us for the last few days. Yesterday, he was captured by some hunters. We just want to make sure that he is fine.” I explained to Lily.,



“Alex have been staying with you guys? But you are werewolves..” Lily pointed out.



“We aren’t as evil as your kind point us to be.” Alfred defended.



“How do you know we are werewolves?” I asked her.



“You look like the prisoners the hunters usually brought back to the camp. Although you are a lot hotter than them.” Lily blush as she says the last part.



“How much do you know about werewolves?.” I asked her. When I meet Alex for the first time, he seems to know a lot about werewolves and so I wonder if she too knowns.



“I might know more than you think.” Lily answered.



“I am guessing you know about mates right?.” I asked her and she nods her head.



“Good. Alex is my mate.. And right now, he is in danger and he needs me. We need your help in order to save him. Are you willing to help us?”. I asked her.



“Of coures. Alex has been my best friend since i could remember. Although I must say, I am surprised that he ended up with a werewolf as a soulmate. His father will definitely throw a fit if he finds out.” Lily said with a smile as if she is secretly happy that Alex actually ended up with a wolf.



“About his father. Do you have an idea what he is planning?.” I asked her..



Lily shooked her head; “Not much. All I know is that he is planning on taking Alex to the big city tomorrow morning.” Lily explained.



For what? I wondered. Then I remembered that Alex had told me about the inheritance money his father is trying to get from him. That must be why they need him. My concern right now is what might happen to him after they get money. We need to recuse Alex tonight.



“Do you know were they kept him?.” I asked her.



“Not really. I am a slave worker here. I don’t have much access to places around the camp.” Lily explained.



“How about a time the men are losse on their guard?.” I asked her.



Since the hunters are more than us in number. We need to attack them strategically. When you enemy is bigger than you, then the best time to attack them is when they let their guard loose.



“Well, during dinner time. Everyone is a bit merry and drunk.” Lily expressed.

Her reply suddenly gave me an idea.


“Are you part of those who are going to prepare the meals?.” I asked her and She nod her head..



I gave her the idea of placing the sleeping portion into the food. Everybody who eats the food will fall asleep giving us enough time to execute our plan. Lily actually buy the idea.


“Are you sure you are willing to do this?.” I asked her for the last time.


“Yes. Anything for Alex.” Lily answered without any hesitation.


“Good!” I answered. I decided to give her some private time to talk with Albert and so I moved away from them.


After about five minutes, Jason came back.


Hey what did I miss? Who is the lady talking with Albert?.” He asked me.

Albert POV

“Are you sure you want to do this?..” I asked Lily. I just found my mate, I don’t want to lose her in case anything goes wrong.


“I am certain. I need to do this for Alex. Alex deserve better than this. He deserves to have a happy ending.” Lily expressed.


“And so do we.” I muttered



“Pardon?”. Lily asked.


“Nothing!”. I answered.


“Em why do you care what happens to me? I mean wee just meet.” Lily asked me.

I decided to be honest with her, I held her hand and look into her eyes; “Do you feel anything right now?.” I asked her referring to the sparkles I am feeling right now. I just hope she feels it.


“Are you referring to the sparkle? You feel it too?”. Lily asked. I felt a relief. At least that lessen my work.


“Yes. I felt it too..” I answered her with a smile


“Why? Is something wrong with us?.” Lily innocently asked me.



“Nope we are totally fine. This is something that happens only between mates.” I drop the bombshell hoping she will understand.


“Mates? You are trying to tell me that you and I are mates?.” Lily asked as shocked as she let go of my hand. My wolf felt hurt by her action.



“Yes we are..” I confirmed her words.



“What does that mean for us now?.” Lily asked me.



“Whatever you wish.” I sincerely told her. I am not going to force her into making any decisions against her wish.



“I will come with you.” Lily said with a smile.



“Really!.” I excitedly asked her.



“Yes. I mean there is nothing left for me here..” Lilly expressed.



“O thank you! I promise to be the best partner to you.” I expressed to her and pulled her into a hug.


Lily gladly hugged me back.
