Chapter 10: Underneath His Peculiar Eyes

Alpha Reid punched Zach in front of the visitors and Natasha didn't know what she should do to stop them. She can't stop them and they are creating a mess now.

“I don't want you to come near my mate!”

Alpha Reid growls toward Zach. Natasha could see from their faces that no one of them wanted to give way. But this must be stopped and even Natasha was scared, she screamed to get their attention.

“Stop the fight for Pete's sake!”

Natasha screamed at them which made Zach and Alpha Reid turn their gazes to her.

“I am so sorry, Natasha and it's not my intention to make a mess…”

Zach explained himself to Natasha and he didn't finish his words because Alpha Reid already pulled Natasha away by holding her wrist. Natasha just heaved a deep sigh and followed him. She didn't know where the alpha wanted to bring her and all she knew, they enter to a room.

Natasha grimaced in pain when the alpha slammed her against the wall and her back hit the hard cement. She could feel her pounding heart almost jumping out from her rib cage because of nervousness.

“You're making my blood boil!” Alpha Reid hissed while his teeth gritted in anger. Natasha was already expecting that the Alpha will get mad with her because she disobeyed his rules. “I remind you already that you should not allow men to approach you and look at what you've done?” He added and Natasha just looked away.

She can't stare him in the eyes because if she did that, she knew that she would fall. Alpha Reid was still the ruthless Alpha and she was scared with her life now.

“I… I am sorry, Alpha Reid…”

Natasha apologized to him and was stunned when he held her chin, so she could look at him. She can no longer resist the alpha. Natasha looked at him, but her eyes were staring at his enigmatic eyes. Her brows furrowed when she noticed something in his eyes.

“What's underneath his peculiar eyes? What is going on?”

Natasha asked that to herself as she stared at Alpha Reid's pair of eyes. There's something underneath the Alpha's peculiar eyes that she can't figure out.

Alpha Reid was hard to read and Natasha already knew that. Whatever was underneath his peculiar eyes, it was only the alpha who knew that, but Natasha wanted to know. She felt the urge of knowing him better, so she should study what was with him and what's behind the reason that made him ruthless.

“Don't stare at me like that, Natasha,” Alpha Reid uttered which made Natasha wake up from her deep thoughts.

“We should go back to the ball, Alpha Reid, and swear, what happened earlier will never happen again.”

Natasha should promise the Alpha that she will never allow anyone to come near her, so he won't get mad. As long as she can, she needs to avoid them.

“Of course and I'll make sure that no one can come near you because I won't leave you alone this time.”

Alpha Reid grasped her wrist and began pulling it back to the party. Natasha was still thinking about the Alpha's peculiar eyes. He looks lonely and it seems like the Alpha is wanting someone's love.

Natasha may be mistaken in her prediction, but she felt the urge to take good care of him. And of course, even if she never noticed that with him earlier, Natasha knew that she had a responsibility toward the Alpha because if it was not with him, she knew that her sister wouldn't be able to get out of the hospital.

Whatever the alpha went through and whatever was underneath his peculiar eyes, Natasha knew that she would learn about it soon during her stay with him.

“Damn, you seemed preoccupied with something, Natasha?”

She was back into her deep thoughts upon hearing the words that the alpha blurted out to her. Natasha did not notice that they had already stopped walking.

“I… I was thinking about something, Alpha Reid. We should keep going now,”

Natasha was stuttering upon stating those words, but the Alpha furrowed his brows to her. She stared at the alpha's enigmatic eyes again and this time, her mouth agape when Alpha Reid grins. He grabbed Natasha's waist and pulled her closer to him. Natasha could feel her heart beating so fast because of that. And the next thing that happened seemed fast for her. Alpha Reid already took her lips and didn't even care if they were in the middle of the hallway.

Natasha wrapped her hands around his nape and never thinks twice about answering the alpha's kiss. It seems like she was lost in herself because of the kiss and it seemed like she wanted to feel his hot body against her.

“We have to continue, Natasha. The more I want to make love with you now, but I realize that this isn't the perfect place. I will make out with you once we arrive at my house.”

Alpha Reid initiated to end the kiss and the words he let out left Natasha dumbfounded. He started pulling her hand and in just about a minute, they had already arrived where many of the visitors were still enjoying the night like nothing was happening earlier.

Natasha was trying to locate Zach's whereabouts, but she couldn't find the man. She only wants to ask for an apology from him earlier and explain to him about her relationship with Alpha Reid.

“Ladies and gentlemen, good evening. I would like to introduce to all of you my future king and his mate!”

Natasha was dumbfounded by what happened next. The lights focused on them and everybody was already looking at them. The man who spoke earlier was Alpha Reid's father. Natasha's mind was preoccupied again with other things that she didn't notice Alpha Reid already pulling her in the middle. Her face flushed when she realized what was going on.

The alpha is about to dance with her and she can't explain the mixed emotions that she felt now knowing that the ruthless billionaire wanted to dance with her, right in front of so many visitors.

It was inevitably unbelievable!
