Chapter 11: Harassed

His hands wrap around her small waistline. His body was leaning against her. Her hands wrapped around his neck. Her heartbeats raced so rapidly while her eyes were to the other direction. Natasha never expected this event to come. Alpha Reid was dancing to her in the middle of the crowd. So many eyes are fixed on both of them.

She can't stare the alpha deep into his eyes because when her eyes are staring at him, she would about to break down from what she had felt now. No one had ever danced to her before. This is her first time that a man danced to her in front of so many people.

“You're nervous, huh,”

She lifted her head, and met the alpha's gaze. Natasha's face turned red upon seeing the alpha's reaction. He's grinning, and she knew that the alpha was enjoying seeing her reaction right now.

“I-It's because many people are watching us, Alpha.”

Natasha responded by making the alpha chuckle. He even pulled her waist so close to him that it stunned her.

“Don't mind them, Natasha. Just feel this moment. It's our time and don't mind them at all. I know this is your first time that a man will dance with you, and I want this to be memorable for you.” Alpha Reid uttered.

She didn't expect that the alpha knew about this. She didn't tell him about it.

“H-how'd you know that?”

Her eyes widened as well as her mouth after asking those words to Alpha Reid. On the other hand, Alpha Reid was smirking to see the reaction to her face.

“The reaction to your face tells me that this is your first time, Natasha. I never expected it. This is the first time that I have encountered a woman who was too innocent.”

When the alpha said those words, he was even shaking his head in disbelief. Natasha bent her head down because of embarrassment. She can't explain the embarrassment she had felt from what the Alpha uttered.

She admits to herself that she was ignorant of many things. Her life goes round only to her twin sister, and then she felt saddened when she remembered her twin sister. Alpha Reid didn't want to allow her to see her twin sister. Natasha wanted to check her situation, but she knew she couldn't do that because of Alpha Reid.

“I… I don't know what to say…”

Natasha didn't finish what she was about to say when someone spoke behind her back. Alpha Reid lets go of her and they both face the man.

“I am glad that you finally found your mate, Son. As your father, I am so happy for you.”

Natasha could feel her legs trembling from nervousness. After all, the man in front of her is the Alpha's father and the former king.

“I would like you to meet my mate, Father. Her name is Natasha.”

Alpha Reid started to introduce Natasha to his father while Natasha's head was below the ground.

“It is an honor that you accepted my son. I guess you are aware of who he was.”

Those words that the king uttered made Natasha lift her head. She turned her gaze to Alpha Reid, and she noticed her jaw clenched. Natasha was a bit nervous, but she had to speak to Alpha Reid's father.

“I meet your son as a good man, King. He respects me and also helped me with my sister's medication. It is an honor to be his mate.”

Alpha Reid's father was shocked by what Natasha uttered. She looked at Alpha Reid and the man was smirking. He even presses her waist, that makes her face flush.

“That's good to know. You've made your father proud, Son. Follow me because I will announce you as the new king of this pack.”

His father walked back to his throne, so Alpha Reid followed him. But before that, he turns his head to Natasha and winks. She was shocked by what the alpha did. She can't get over how the Alpha winked at him.

Natasha remained standing until someone spoke behind her back that made her aback from her thoughts.

“How's the feeling of being the alpha's mate?”

Natasha furrowed her brows when she saw three women who looked furious. She could feel her heartbeats racing upon seeing them.

“Do I know you?” She queried, and that made them laugh. One of them grasps her wrist that makes her grimaced in pain. She turned her head to where the alpha is, but the crowd already covered them.

“It's not important. We won't allow you to be with our Alpha. We didn't even know you!”

It flashes to Natasha's head what happened last time. These women are maybe the alpha's followers and they harassed her because of Alpha Reid.

“Please, don't hurt me.”

She's begging them to spare her life. She doesn't want a fight. She came here to witness the alpha's coronation night and also as his mate.

“We will spare you when you do what we want!”

“Get off from the alpha's life!”

“You are not meant for him!”

Those words are what she heard from the three women. They are forcing her to leave the alpha's life, but she can't do that. Only the Alpha can shove her away.

Those people around them don't even care if she was harassed. She was asking for their help, but no one listened to her. They let these three women harass her.

“No, please…”

Natasha begged, but the three women started dragging her out of the party. When she tries to fight, they are hurting her. She received slaps from them that hurt her. The women brought her out of the palace without Alpha Reid's knowledge. They pushed her, that made Natasha fall to the ground. She was crying because of pain and shame.

“Now leave!”

“You had the chance to run away and don't ever come back!”

“If you keep insisting, we will never stop hurting you until you give up!”

All Natasha did was cry. Her eyes narrowed at the castle. She felt disgusted to herself for letting them hurt her.

And she asked herself, “Do I deserve this? Should I follow them?”

And she was stuck about what she needs to do next.
