Chapter 27: Unpredictable

Alpha Reid already left her, so Natasha grabbed the opportunity to walk back in their room. She takes the few things she owns and moves to the next room.

Natasha sat on the bed before she left the alpha's room. She can't understand herself anymore. Instead of being excited that the alpha doesn't want to sleep with her, she felt saddened about it.

“What is happening to you, Natasha?”

Tears started rolling to her eyes again, so she wiped it away. She let out a deep breath before she made up her mind to stand up. Natasha leaves the alpha's room and prepares the room that she will be staying with.

After a couple of hours, Natasha decided to lay onto the bed to sleep. She feels tired, and she wants to take a rest. Natasha didn't know how many hours she had been sleeping because all she could remember was, she woke up when she heard three knocks at the door.

She got up from bed and opened the room. However, Alpha Reid is what she saw. Her eyes even widened because she didn't expect that the alpha would be about to come.

“We're leaving.”

That's what the alpha had told her without telling her where their destination would be, but she has no right to complain about it. She must follow what the alpha wants.

Alpha Reid was walking out of the castle, and Natasha just kept on following him until they arrived in one of his cars. Natasha realized to ask the alpha, so she would be aware where they wanted to go.

“Where are we going, Alpha Reid?”

Alpha Reid just furrowed his brows while looking at her. She started to feel nervous because it seemed like the alpha didn't like her question.

“We'll be going to the market for groceries. You don't have food to eat, Natasha, and I believe that the room you've chosen earlier has a small kitchen.”

She felt her face flushed because of Alpha Reid. Natasha remembered that the room she chose earlier is the same as the alpha's room. It has a kitchen. However, that's not what catches her attention. It's about Alpha Reid.

“I… I thought you don't care about me, Alpha Reid?”

She questioned, and the Alpha's reaction was priceless. He even looked away and Natasha couldn't prevent herself from smirking.

“Y-yes, but it doesn't mean I should not provide for your needs. You will still be the future mother of my child, so I have to let you live. Just please don't talk, or I will change my mind.”

Natasha closed her lips abruptly when Alpha Reid started to be annoyed. She doesn't want the alpha's mind to change. She will allow him to do what he wants to do to her.

Alpha Reid went inside the car, so she followed him. They left the castle quietly and arrived at the nearest convenience store. Alpha Reid was the first one who walked inside. The customers are staring at them, and Natasha already knows why. Of course, it's about Alpha Reid.

They are staring at them because of the man beside her. Natasha didn't mind them and just followed Alpha Reid. He also let the alpha pick anything. Of course, she didn't want to tell the alpha what she wanted because she felt ashamed.

“Come on, Natasha. You can choose anything you want.”

She bit her upper lips because of what Alpha Reid had told her. Natasha left no choice, but to do what the alpha wants. She put everything in the cart with the important stocks that she needed. However, she can't stop being amazed by the alpha. He doesn't complain. He's the one bringing the cart, and Natasha's heart was in happiness because of that.

She realized that Alpha Reid was really unpredictable. He used to change mood time to time and also Natasha realized that what she needed to do is to understand him.

Natasha separates from Alpha Reid because she's looking for something. In the middle of what she's doing, someone approached her.

“Hey,”

Natasha stopped what she's doing just to face that woman. A smile formed in her lips also because of how the woman smiled at her. Natasha was captivated by the woman's beauty.

“Is there anything I can do for you?”

She questioned her politely. The woman crossed her arms and her legs before she responded to her.

“Are you the Alpha's maid?”

Natasha's eyes widened because of what the woman had asked. She didn't know that she was the alpha's mate. However, Natasha realized something. She wanted to tell her the truth, but she's afraid that this woman would freak out if she learned that she's the alpha's mate. She knows that this woman adores Alpha Reid.

“Y-yes.”

She replied, and the woman smiled widely. Natasha faked a smile, and also because she's afraid that Alpha Reid would know that she denied the truth about her position in alpha's life.

“That's great. I thought you're his girlfriend because honestly speaking… You are not beautiful enough to be the alpha's girlfriend. Look at how you dress…”

Natasha's mouth widened from what the woman mentioned. She was humiliating her, and knowing that there are also customers here made her ashamed. Natasha bent her head down. She's too weak to fight. She can't defend herself and Natasha did nothing, but to allo the woman to humiliate her.

However, Alpha Reid appears in front of them. Natasha's eyes widened from what he did toward the woman. He pulled her away from Natasha.

“I heard what you told my mate!”

Natasha bit her upper lips while her eyes were toward the woman. She looks stunned while looking at Natasha's direction.

“Your mate, Alpha Reid. I thought…”

“She's probably lying. That girl you humiliated is my mate and I will punish you from what you did!”

Alpha Reid looks determined to punish the woman. On the other hand, Natasha didn't expect that Alpha Reid would defend her.

She realized that Alpha Reid was unpredictable because he changed what he promised earlier. Natasha thought that Alpha Reid didn't care about her, but she's wrong. The alpha even protected her!

And everyone gasped because of what Alpha Reid did next.
