Chapter 21: Natasha's Clumsiness

Natasha was dumbfounded from what the alpha mentioned and he even left her, so tears started to fall from her eyes again. She couldn't understand how the alpha acted right now.

He's changing personality from time to time. She's not more than a week with Alpha Reid and yet, there are so many things that happened now.

Natasha washed her face with her hands. She even wiped the tears from her eyes and tried to make herself feel better despite everything that happened. She can't still move on from what her sister did to her.

“You can do it, Natasha. Everything that happened now has reasons.”

She tried to convince herself. She even stayed sitting on the couch for a minute until she made up her mind to move. Natasha thinks of another way to enjoy herself while thinking about Alpha Reid until she doesn't notice that she fell asleep.

It was already twelve in the evening when she heard the door of the room open wide. There she saw Alpha Reid. Natasha looked at him, and the alpha was also staring at her.

“Alpha Reid?”

The alpha just snobs her. He keeps walking until he reaches the bed. The alpha lay on the bed that freezes her. Natasha didn't know what she was going to do about Alpha Reid.

“If you don't want to sleep with me, you can stay on the cold floor.”

His deep voice sent shivers to Natasha's whole body. She could already feel the strand of her hair that stood on end after she heard those words from him.

“Are you drunk?”

Even though she's afraid of him, Natasha is still able to ask the alpha if he's drunk.

“What do you think? Am I looking fine, Natasha?”

A heavy sigh escaped from her throat before she responded to Alpha Reid. While the alpha was talking, his eyes were closed.

“I will prepare you a soup, Alpha Reid.”

Natasha insisted on preparing a hot soup for the alpha, so the alcohol from his body would lessen. This is the only thing that she can do toward the alpha. After all, Natasha owes him. Despite what happened to her, she was still thankful that it's the alpha who purchased her.

“Don't bother because I'm fine. I just needed some rest, Natasha. Don't make a sound that could wake me up. You'll be punished when you fail to do my reminder.”

She was stunned by what she heard from the alpha. Natasha wanted to complain, but she's afraid to do so because she already knows the alpha. However, she still wants to prepare him with hot soup. Natasha got up from the bed too carefully and went to the kitchen. This room has everything that she's looking for. She's not needed to go out to prepare food because she can find everything here already.

While Natasha was preparing the alpha's hot soup, she didn't notice that her ankle hit the flower vase. It creates a sound to the ground. Her world seemed to stop moving for a moment because of what happened. Her eyes narrowed to the alpha and saw him woke up.

Natasha's clumsiness made the alpha awoke. She just remembered what the alpha had uttered earlier, and she started to feel nervous. Natasha didn't know what she must do right now.

“You are so hard-headed, Natasha!”

Alpha Reid got up from his bed and walked near her direction. Natasha could feel her body shaking when the alpha was getting nearer. She even stepped her feet backwards until her back hit the washstand. She frowned because of the pain.

“Alpha Reid… I… Am sorry…”

She apologized, but the alpha is not listening. He still continued walking until he cornered her. Alpha Reid put his two hands on the left corner of her body. He moved his body closer to her until she felt something in her stomach. The alpha was tall, so he bent his head to look at her.

“Haven't you understood what I told you earlier?”

He starts to question her, and Natasha's heartbeat keeps pumping too fast. The alpha is not doing anything yet. But, she's hoping that he won't do anything toward her.

“I… I understand, Alpha Reid, but what happened is just an accident. I… I didn't notice that there was a vase here and I accidentally hit that with my ankle when I was preparing your h-hot soup.”

Although she's nervous, Natasha still did her best to deliver her words for the Alpha. She wanted to explain her side, and it seemed to work. Alpha Reid's brows furrowed. He moved himself away from her, but his eyes were still with Natasha.

“You prepared a hot soup for me?”

Natasha was a bit shocked because the Alpha sounds calmer than earlier.

“Y-yes, Alpha.”

She uttered while stammering. Alpha Reid, on the other hand, let out a sigh before he put his hands under his pockets. He stared at Natasha for about a minute.

“I want to eat that.”

Natasha smiled from what the alpha mentioned. She felt relief because the alpha isn't mad anymore. However, she must be extra careful next time.

She thought, “Your clumsiness will put your life at risk.” And after that, Natasha prepared the hot soup for the alpha. She put that in a bowl and gave it to the alpha.

She's already nervous about what the alpha would say about the soup she prepared. Natasha was nervous, but then she's taking the positive side. She believes that the alpha would like it.

“Where did you learn this, Natasha?”

She starts to be nervous again by what the alpha asked of her.

“I… I just learned, Alpha Reid.”

She responded, and the alpha just nodded his head, responding to him. He started eating the hot soup and Natasha was looking at the alpha. She wants to know his reaction.

“You're doing great, Natasha. You are also a good cooker, huh,”

She bit her upper lip because of what he mentioned. Natasha could even feel her face blushed, while her heart was racing so fast. She can't explain the happiness she had felt toward the alpha's reaction.

However, the next moment Natasha would respond to him when they heard three consecutive knocks at the door of the room.
