Chapter 23: Alluring Charisma

Natasha couldn't explain herself either. She's aware that what she has felt is not right. She should not feel any pain just because of him. She must not feel affected by his painful words.

“Right, Alpha Reid. You didn't care about me by the way because you only care about your name. I am your mate when other people are around us.”

She wants her tears to fall from her eyes for no reason. However, Natasha did her best to control her tears. Crying won't help her now. She doesn't want the alpha to see how weak she is.

“You should not forget about our agreement, Natasha. I was maybe kind with you, but it's because you are my mate. I didn't want my father to discover that I was mistreating you. You shouldn't dare to tell anyone about it. Do you get it?”

Natasha's hands squeeze into fists, but she did her best to hide it. She didn't want Alpha Reid to think that she's crying because of him.

“I know, Alpha Reid, and I am so aware about that. Don't worry because I will never forget that. I am just your mate and that would be all.”

Alpha Reid just stared at her after she mentioned those words. She can't tell what was his reaction, but Natasha doesn't want to know about that.

“Good to know. Let's go back to sleep.”

He mumbled and walked first than her. Natasha just let out a deep breath before she followed the alpha. The tears that she's keeping earlier fall to her eyes. She immediately wiped it away because she's afraid that Alpha Reid would find out.

Natasha still kept on walking until they arrived inside the room. It was already one o'clock in the morning, but they still went back to sleep. She left no choice and to lay down beside Alpha Reid. Natasha doesn't have a choice.

“Feel at home, Natasha. This will be your new home.”

A forceful smile formed on her lips after she heard those words from him. Natasha tried to convince herself that everything would be okay. This is her new life now. This place will be her new home, but being with her sister was still the best. However, her sister left her. She betrayed her, and now she's suffering from her debt just to save her.

But, Natasha didn't regret it because what she did saved her sister's life. She can't lose her sister, and there's nothing she regrets.

Natasha closed her eyes and forced herself to sleep. Without her prior knowledge, she already fell asleep, and also without knowing that Alpha Reid was still wide awake.

“The time will come, and I can accept you as our mate, Natasha. Just forgive me if I acted like this in front of you.”

Alpha Reid was staring at her beautiful face while mentioning those words. He can't even stop himself from being captivated by the woman's beauty. Alpha Reid didn't notice that his left hand was moving. He just learned that he started to caress Natasha's face.

There's something from Natasha that the alpha couldn't explain. However, he knew that it's her alluring charisma that pushes him to caress her face.

“You have no idea how beautiful you are, Natasha…”

He still keeps on caressing her face. It seems like the alpha doesn't want to end what he's doing. It's also good to stare at her when she's sleeping. Her innocence was more revealing when she's asleep.

“Alpha Reid…”

The Alpha pulled his hand when Natasha started speaking. He was nervous about the thought that the woman would catch him.

“Please don't…. Don't hurt me…”

Alpha Reid's mouth wide open when he heard what Natasha just uttered. He couldn't believe that those words were about to escape from her mouth. Alpha Reid also realized that Natasha was asleep after all. She's just dreaming, and he can't believe that Natasha was dreaming of him.

“Natasha…”

Alpha Reid tried to wake her up, but she didn't wake up. He started to worry about her. Alpha Reid doesn't want something bad to happen to her.

It is not because he's afraid to lose someone who can act as his mate, but he's afraid to lose Natasha, his real mate.

“Don't… Hurt me…”

Alpha Reid washed his face with his hand when he noticed the tears that came out from her eyes. He doesn't want to disturb her sleep, but she's dreaming so badly and she decided to wake her up.

“Wake up, Natasha!”

He held her shoulder and began to wake her up. After ten seconds, Natasha opened her eyes and then sobbed. Alpha Reid grabbed her body and let her cry on his chest. This is what he exactly did earlier. He was hugging her to comfort her, and the alpha thought that this is not him.

He's not comforting someone even before, but when it comes with Natasha, Alpha Reid never hesitated. All he knew was that he needed to comfort her. He needed to hush her, and that's what he did.

“I'm dreaming… I'm dreaming that you're h-hurting me…”

Alpha Reid grit his teeth after he heard those statements from Natasha. It seems like guilt had emerged within his heart. He felt guilty because he knew that he had been so hard on Natasha.

“I apologized for what happened, Natasha. I… I am not a good Alpha. I can't promise you that I won't hurt you, but… I will try not to. Maybe I'm so rude to you that it has reached the point where you're dreaming that I was hurting you.”

Natasha was listening to what alpha did. She even let go of him just to stare him deep into his eyes. She was even shocked when the alpha wiped the tears from her face.

“You don't have to apologize, Alpha Reid. I understand everything that you're doing. It is because I am only your procured mate. My responsibility to you is to obey everything that you'd want me to do.”

Natasha tried to tell Alpha Reid that she totally understood what alpha was doing. She also realized that she had no right to complain.

“It will—”

She didn't finish what she's going to say when Alpha Reid took her lips that almost fled her soul.
