Chapter 30: Interrogation

Natasha didn't expect that the Alpha was changing his clothes when came inside the room. She even screamed in shock, so Alpha Reid covered her mouth with his hand.

“You are so noisy.”

He mumbled, and Natasha's face reddened because of that. Alpha Reid removed his hand from her lips, so Natasha turned her gaze away from him. She just found the alpha wearing his pants. She just saw his big manhood.

“A-are you done changing?” Natasha queried without staring at the Alpha.

“You can turn your head in my direction, Natasha. So, let's talk…”

Natasha swallowed her saliva after the alpha mentioned those words. She already knew that the alpha will ask her about how she drove the car. Natasha can't even explain why that happened. She had no car before. She was simply living her life with her twin sister. They do not have any kinds of vehicles and that confused her.

“Does your back still hurt, Alpha Reid? Just tell me what I should do, okay?”

Natasha tried to change the topic and the alpha just let out a sigh because of that. She was hoping that the alpha won't ask her about it.

“It was still painful. I have to be careful with the moves I did because it's still painful. I have to rest, as the pack doctor told me.”

Alpha Reid answered her question, so Natasha just nodded her head while responding to him. She even went to the kitchen to prepare him with hot soup. Natasha wanted to serve the alpha. She's doing this not because it's her responsibilities or her debts. She's doing this because her heart was telling her to take good care of the alpha.

“You should rest, Alpha Reid. I will prepare your hot soup and I will wake you up once it's cooked.”

Alpha Reid was staring at her when she mentioned those words. Even though Natasha wasn't able to see the alpha, she knew that he's looking at her.

“Why are you doing this, Natasha? I… I mean, I am not worth it for your care after all the painful words that I tell you?”

Natasha stopped what she's doing after she heard the alpha's statement. She even turned her gaze in his direction and found the alpha waiting for her response. She bit her upper lips before she responded to him.

“Aside from my responsibility… This is what my heart wants, Alpha Reid. It's telling me to take good care of you, and I was hoping that you won't push me away just for this time. Allow me to take good care of you when you are still wounded.”

Alpha Reid let out a sigh from her words. He even shifted to the bed to rest. Natasha was still watching Alpha Reid, also because she wanted to make sure that Alpha Reid was able to lay down.

“You didn't answer my question earlier. How did you know to drive? As far as I remember, you have no vehicle,”

Natasha thought that it's happening already. Alpha Reid had begun to interrogate her. He began to ask her about what she did earlier that she—herself, can't even explain.

“I… I have no idea, Alpha Reid. All I knew at that time was that I have to save you. Even though I didn't know how to drive that car, I was still able to know how to use it. It's just my heart, my eyes, and my mind that taught me to move the car. Maybe it is what we call an adrenaline rush?”

Alpha Reid's brows furrowed because of what Natasha had told him. It seems like the alpha is not convinced by her answer, but what she mentioned was real. Natasha didn't really have an idea where she learned to drive the car.

“I never expected that to happen, but then I was thankful to you, Natasha, because you did your best to bring me here. If it's not because of you, maybe I have lost too much blood. I didn't expect that a wolf would attack me in my back. He's too smart to backstab me.”

Natasha just chuckled because of Alpha Reid. The man was able to tell jokes even though he's serious beaten. It seems like he doesn't care about his wound. However, Natasha realized that this is not maybe the alpha's first wound.

As the ruthless alpha, she knew that Alpha Reid had gone through so many fights before.

“It's not a problem, Alpha Reid. I am just giving back the favor. You saved my life so many times and I want to give the favor back to you. So, please even if you don't like me to be your mate… Just allow me to play my role by taking good care of you. It will be easier for you to heal when I help you, Alpha Reid,”

Natasha already knew that Alpha Reid would scream at her face. She knows that the alpha doesn't want her help, but she was hoping that Alpha Reid will allow her.

“Okay, fine. I will let you take good care of me, but when my wounds are better, you should stop taking good care of me, Natasha. I didn't want to have a debt on you.”

Natasha bit her upper lips from the alpha's response. She was happy because the alpha agreed to that.

“You better rest, Alpha Reid, when I am preparing your hot soup. This will help you to regain your energy back.”

Alpha Reid just nodded his head, responding to Natasha. He closed his eyes, so Natasha started to prepare the hot soup for the alpha. It didn't take her about thirty minutes in the kitchen. The hot soup was already prepared and Natasha brought it to the alpha.

However, she noticed the alpha was shaking. Natasha furrowed her brows, so she ran in the alpha's direction and started to check him.

“You have a fever, Alpha Reid!”

She mumbled in her nervous tone. Alpha Reid opened his eyes and he was still shaking. Natasha put the bowl on the table to check the alpha again, but she was shocked by what he did next.

Alpha Reid pulled her onto the bed and Natasha fell beside him.

“Your body would help me reduce my body shaking, Natasha.”

And after that, Alpha Reid embraced Natasha so tightly that it stiffened her.
