Chapter 29: Beaten

Natasha keeps driving the car. She didn't care about the danger. She ran over the car in the direction of the enemies. Natasha hit the wolf. It flew away causing death. After she was able to kill the wolf, she went out of the car to help Alpha Reid.

He's beaten by the three wolves. Alpha Reid had a wound on his back. Tears started to fall from her eyes upon seeing the alpha's situation.

“H-how you do that, Natasha?”

Although the alpha was seriously beaten on his back, he could still manage to interrogate her. However, answering him is not the top priority for Natasha. She needed to bring the alpha back to the castle.

“Please, Alpha Reid, stop interrogating me. I have to bring you back to the castle. Just hold on, okay?”

Natasha assisted the alpha to got up from sitting on the ground. She's thankful because Alpha Reid didn't ask her again. He also allowed her to help him.

Natasha didn't know how she made it. She was able to put the alpha on the car. Natasha even drove the car back to the castle. Take note, this is the first time that she's driving. All she knew was that the alpha's situation made her worry so much. What she was thinking was Alpha Reid.

“You flabbergasted me, Natasha. How did you know to drive?”

Alpha Reid still asked her, but Natasha didn't mind the alpha. She continued driving the car while worrying about alpha's wound. It keeps on bleeding, and she was so afraid that the alpha would lose a lot of blood before they could arrive in the castle. After several minutes, Natasha and Alpha Reid already arrived in the castle.

She parked the car in the parking lot area. She went out of the car to call for help. The palace guards and Alpha Reid's beta rescued them. They bring the alpha in the room. The pack doctors also follow them to treat the alpha.

Natasha was worried about the alpha's situation. She was outside the room and waiting for the doctor's information.

“You calmed down, Natasha. Alpha Reid would be alright.”

Natasha turned her head to the beta's direction. Her brows furrowed because of what he uttered.

“Calmed down? Do you think I can calm down after what happened to Alpha Reid?”

Natasha couldn't stop herself from raising her voice. She was anxious because of what happened to Alpha Reid. After all the painful words that Alpha Reid told her, she still can't prevent herself from feeling worried about him. The alpha saved her life so many times. He even protected her from those who dared to hurt her, and Natasha was thankful to Alpha Reid.

He still had a heart after all. He didn't allow something bad happens to her and now it's time for her to take good care of Alpha Reid. She must take good care of him as remuneration for always saving her life in peril.

“Look, I didn't tend to offend you, Beta Damian… But, please don't tell me to calm down. Alpha Reid was chasing his life because he was seriously beaten by a wolf.”

Beta Damian sighed after Natasha mentioned those words. The man totally understood what Natasha had felt and he can't also prevent himself from feeling jealous about it. She cared that much toward the alpha.

“Don't worry because I understand what you feel right now. If you're needing a friend… I am here anytime. Although I just became his beta not a while ago, I studied Alpha Reid before I became his beta. He's popular. He's strong and the wound he got is nothing for him.”

Natasha nodded her head from Damian. She was thankful because Damian is an understanding person. Even if she raised a voice, he still calmed down, and he never got mad.

“Thank you so much, Damian. I really appreciate it.”

She responded and the beta was still nodding his head before he spoke.

“It's not wrong to calm down, Natasha. I swear to you that Alpha Reid will be fine. The pack doctors are currently treating his wounds. In a few minutes, they would probably come out of that door and tell you that the alpha is fine.”

A smile formed Natasha's lips after she heard those words toward the Beta Damian. She still can't believe that even until now, the man's encouragement was so helpful for her to calm down. She's thankful because beta Damian is back.

“You're still the same as before, Damian. Your encouraging words make me feel better.”

Natasha uttered and Damian just chuckled. The two of them just talk for about an hour while they reminisce about what happened in the past. Natasha was enjoying her time talking to Beta Damian until they heard the clicking of the door towards the room of Alpha Reid, so they turned their heads in that direction.

Natasha got up from sitting on the ground when she saw the pack doctors. They are now smiling, and she felt that Alpha Reid was already in a good stable.

“How's the Alpha?”

She questioned the pack doctors, and they smiled first before they replied to her.

“Alpha Reid was in stable condition now. You can talk to him, Miss Natasha. We will visit him after three hours to bring him medicine.”

A deep breath escaped from her throat after she heard those words from the pack doctors. Natasha feels better knowing that Alpha Reid was already in stable condition. She was worried about him earlier.

“Thank you so much.”

Natasha responded, and the pack doctors just nodded their heads in response to what she had said. They leave after talking to her, so Natasha faces the beta.

“You can take good care of the alpha's responsibilities while he's healing. I have to check him inside, Beta Damian.”

Natasha uttered, and she was about to leave when the beta spoke.

“I just want you to know, Natasha, that I am so happy because I met you again. If you are needing help, I am always here. Don't worry because I will take good care of everything.”

Natasha just smiled at Damian after he mentioned those words. She continued inside and was stunned by what her eyes saw.
