'She sure has a peculiar blood and scent but somehow I'm unable to find the source of this unusual thing. I should start looking for the royal epsilon to ask about her identity. It can’t be that she is the counter of my curse, my mate and yet her tears can harm me. It should be one thing, not both. How can she be my cure and poison at the same time!?’

Sahan had known that she was a mere she-wolf who had no wolf powers, since Lana might have been punished that way by the moon goddess for some sin. Her powers were probably snatched when she wished for the goddess to punish the rapist of her mother. Despite the fact that she had no wolf or smelt like a wolf something was still peculiar about her.

On the other hand Lana had no clue about what Sahan had been thinking, the lady gulped as she spotted his eyes on her neck. She immediately recalled the night when he licked her neck and the intimacy made her unconscious. She could not imagine having sex with him after experiencing that dreamy feeling. Lana could not bring herself to know that she had been bought as sex slave and either way sooner or later she had to serve him in bed.

'Is his highness a pervert? Why is he staring at my neck like a predator?’

She sneakily glanced down on herself and spotted that her neckline was really low. The lady's half cleavage was exposed to his eyes, which made Lana feel the heat around the cheeks. The woman wanted to cover her breasts but she also did not wish to do anything which would make the alpha mad like yesterday.

‘Or the alpha has changed his mind now and he is planning how to take my life?’

Lana grew cautious at once and it was the most obvious reaction. After all, who would want to end her life by covering her neck or hiding her boobies, when the undefeated alpha king had taken a liking towards them!? No one in the sane mind would do such a naive thing.

Nonetheless, the alpha Sahan stood up from the sofa and his glowing golden eyes stared at her. While the man looked no less than a godly crafted mannequin made from jade! His long black hair contrasted with the cold skin which had been blocking the sunlight coming from the window behind him. Lana flinched a bit when the alpha stood up from the sofa while staring intensely.

"Get dressed soon and join me for the breakfast. I don’t like to wait for people.”

The alpha king ordered the woman and walked out of the room without even bothering to look back at Lana. The lady had no clue what just happened because in one go there were numerous emotions which were being displayed. Lana understood that he was the supreme alpha but that did not mean that he could do whatever he wanted,

'Wasn't he supposed to request that to me? Am I overthinking things that maybe he has a liking towards me?’

Lana could not help but to shake her head upon the stupid thought which had build up within her based of the recent events. But when the last night’s words flashed in her head she immediately got upset and a disappointed expression graced her face.

‘No, he has no interest in me rather my body. I should stop thinking highly of myself, he has bought me as a sex slave not as his concubine. Hah! What was I even thinking?’

As soon as he left the room it did not take any more time that a jury of maids strode inside with their heads glued to the ground. They all had been carrying numerous dresses and other accessories on each of their arms. They all were clad in black and maid outfits except one, Lady Evelyn, the head maid from yesterday. Lana hadn’t even grasped herself yet when they all walked in within a queue.

'Is this all for me? Whoa! This is….this is insane. Is this really for me?’

Lana was taken aback by the protocol she had been receiving because according to her assumption the lady was just a mere pet to the alpha king. Whereas, the alpha Sahan had been planning something else. He knew that Lana was not someone who would give him her body for nothing. After all, that was the norm of the brothel workers; everyone had to pay for their services.

That was why Sahan had ensured and instructed lady Evelyn to treat Lana highly than all those other women who were brought to castle before her. It came as a surprise to her because she had seen alpha Sahan longing and desiring his mate. Lady Evelyn consulted it with her brother, beta Curtis, about Lana’s identity. And it made her realise that she might be actually the alpha’s mate.

Lana was still in her own reverie while she was immersed in savouring the whole scenario. However, it sure felt like a dream or something like that which was making her hard to believe that she was being preferred.

'Maybe this is how it feels to have those privileges which people talk about. No wonder why the influential people sell weaklings like me to these aristocratic counts.'

The lady seemed satisfied although disbelief was also visible on her face as she stared at those maids with white aprons with jaw dropped expressions. She had never thought that the privileges would be that good, although the brothel owner had bribed Lana to behave well and she would be treated well.

Lana had kept that in mind and now that the alpha had made her worth clear. She could not help but decide that instantly, if she wanted to stay alive and treated well then Lana had to act like that too. She was still sitting in the bed when all the maids formed a queue as they flung their arms out to display the dresses and jewellery.

"Greetings, My lady!"

All those women lined up in front of Lana when lady Evelyn strode inside at the end of all the maids. She seemed calm comparatively to yesterday's behaviour and she greeted Lana before she said her apology. Lana was surprised and felt guilty immediately because she never wanted lady Evelyn to get treated the way she had been.

She wanted to say something but before Lana could utter anything, Lady Evelyn resumed her speech and came ahead in front of those maids. Her words made Lana even more guilty that right after her arrival she had been the cause of punishments for others. Lana felt bad that due to her carelessness lady Evelyn’s relationship got affected with the alpha.

"This humble servant is deeply apologetic for yesterday's behaviour, my lady. Please, forgive me. I have reflected upon my actions and will pay heed to the alpha’s instructions.”

Lady Evelyn’s bead was lowered and eyes glued to the ground whereas Lana was still trying to figure out the stuff. She took her time to guess what the alpha might have instructed the lady regarding the treatment towards Lana.

'Is she apologising to me? What exactly is my role here in castle? Am I some sort of duchess now or what? It is not normal, right? I have never heard any royal staff doing this to anyone. Something is definitely going on here. These people are hiding something from me. No mere sex slave is provided these kinds of privileges, unless she is official concubine.’

No wonder the thought crossed her mind the way people had been treating her. Yet Lana’s suspicion was working in the right direction now.

Upon hearing all those words Lana snapped out of her senses and the assumptions which might be false.

"It is...it is completely fine, there is no need for such a gesture. It was an accident and I should be the one to apologise for my carelessness.”

Lana became giddy at once as she heard those words from her, she had never been treated nicely from anyone. Apart from Martha who turned her back on Lana too.

She stood up from the bed and strode towards lady Evelyn, Lana attempted to hold her hand but the woman imma backed off.

"Oh, oh...I'm so sorry. I didn't realise I can't…."

For a moment Lana completely forgot that they both had two different statuses. And she was not allowed to touch or talk by taking each other’s names.

Lady Evelyn passed her a smile and flung her arm out to inform Lana the matter for which she had arrived with so many maids. Lana nodded at her nicely to reciprocate the very gesture of warmth and welcome. It appeared that she could trust Lady Evelyn if not anybody else among the staff.
