Both of the women were probably the first ones who had happened to be alive upon breaking the rules. The alpha kept them under his protection but that act of kindness was perceived the wrong way. Many other humans were bought as slaves and due to the help of witches their scents were masked.

“You filthy wolves are good for nothing. All this pride is nothing but a farce, you guys are worse than humans.”
She shouted on the top of her lungs making the beta angry over the audacity. How could Curtis bear that a mere human was insulting his alpha!? Even though perhaps whatever she said was or might be justified, which seemed the case indicated by Sahan’ silence.

It was the moment when the beta kicked in Leita’s calf to force the woman to kneel. And as expected she groaned and fell over her knees, she immediately glared at Curtis with resentment. How could she let go of all those hurtful moments which she had suffered through along with her mistress!? Leita chuckled scornfully as she averted her head to look at the alpha with hatred.

“Hah! What? Cat caught your tongue now or are you finally ashamed of your gruesome deeds?”
There was utter hatred in her tone and it was visible enough that she hated being like that. How could she not when the alpha made her stay there in kingdom Selene against her will? She was forced to leave her family to never return to her own world for one mistake.

“Don’t you think you displayed your true filthy animalistic nature to a helpless and fragile woman who did not deserve it?”
Leita could not stop herself from not spouting all those hurtful things to him. She knew what she had been claiming because only she was the closest entity to her mistress. Leita knew what her dear friend, mistress, had gone through upon coming to kingdom Selene and the stories were horrible.

Whereas alpha Sahan stood there silently as if he had been willing to hear all that nonsense. The man was aware of his deeds and whatever he had done that day, although it had been years but the memory still seemed fresh. His golden eyes were fixated on Leita’s face as he heard her words and the confrontation. The alpha was drifted towards those thoughts of the past which made him guilty.

“What even was her sin?”
Leita stood up from the carpeted floor and tried to take a few steps towards the alpha. Since the beta was holding her hair through her ponytail she could not get closer to Sahan. However, she was sure that it was her last day alive the way beta Curtis had brought her. It was not usual that the alpha would summon his staff’s presence.

Moreover, she was also aware of her deeds and stealing something from the alpha. And setting up a trap for his beloved was a punishable offence. Thus, she seized the opportunity to say everything she had been keeping buried in her heart. She had nothing to lose now anymore and was not ashamed of anything she had done by now. Leita knew perhaps that was the only day she could confront the alpha daringly.



After all death would have been good rather than staying and living among the beasts. Leita knew that being a human she was under constant threat of dying or being killed. And at that moment she deliberately provoked the alpha to behead her. Although it was still unsure what the root cause of Leita’s actions for stealing the dress. It could not be possibly just her hatred towards him for killing her mistress, right?

“Huh? Tell me. What was even her sin for which she had to pay the price with her life?”
She nearly snarled at him which was another offence and at that moment the beta Curtis leaped towards her. Within just one swift moment his hand over Leita’s neck as he approached her from behind. The woman was taken aback by his movement as she tried to move away but was stuck in that position.
