Sahan picked up the woman in his arms as he looked at her intensely. The man parted his lips from hers and smiled at Lana as he waited for her to say anything. Sahan was sure that Lana was angry with her for whatever had just happened. But she was not going to say anything to keep herself safe and sound. After all, the walls of Belle Morte were not as simple as they appeared to be.



“What are you doing, your highness?”

Lana stared at him in shock while she questioned the alpha about his sudden antics. She was not sure why he was doing absurd things like that. Lana could not figure out what was wrong with the alpha since his actions were becoming extremely bipolar. Thus, she wished to inquire what did he even want from her when he was acting weirdly.



“Why did you kiss me?”

This time Lana did not hold back from anything because she had understood one thing. The alpha was not in love with her neither was he worried about her nor he wished to have her for himself. After all, why would he sell her to another man whose intentions were visible since the moment he arrived. It enraged Lana that she was nothing but a plaything for the alpha who was still judging her as a brothel dancer.



Whereas Sahan raised his one eyebrow in suspicion as he looked at her while they both stood there in the hall. The alpha was still holding her in his arms while Lana’s boldness stunned him this time. Sahan was left to question her antics and the change in her attitude made a visible shift.

‘Did she just have a personality change all of a sudden?’



The alpha was unable to bring himself to conclude anything because Lana was badly acting suspicious now. On the other hand the woman did not speak anything and waited for Sahan to respond. The man had used his authority and power to violate her personal space, now that Lana had figured out he was not involved in her.



“Who are you to inquire with me?”

Sahan squinted his eyes and looked at Lana intensely, there was a mixed expression of anger and curiosity over his face. Whereas, Lana gulped her fears and glared back at him to assert her confidence. She did not hold back in any bit this time and spoke back in the same manner.



“A free resident of your kingdom who has been given rights to protect my honour and dignity.”

As she spoke her eyes became teary upon recalling what just happened with her. Lana was unable to contain her emotions which surfaced as welled up tears. The woman daringly looked into his eyes and displayed no emotion of fear which was there just a while ago. Her sudden switch of tone and personality made Sahan amused.



“Is that so, dear resident?”

Sahan was genuinely shocked to see her gradual change and released her from his scooped embrace. As soon as Lana’s feet touched the floor, alpha Sahan pulled her closer by grabbing her waist. His cold hand touched her bare back which was visible from the opened zipper. Sahan knew how to make her submit while also reminding her about her actual place.



“I think you have forgotten that you have been bought by me and you are not a free person.”

Lana could not move any bit after seeing him closer, the alpha’s breath was touching her face. Simultaneously she felt her heart pounding in her ears upon the extreme situation. Sahan could feel her giving in but he wished to break all her chains and restraints. He leaned in and traced his thumb over her lips to realise her rapid breathing which fell over his hand.



Lana somehow still managed to daringly look into his eyes now that she had seen his true face. The woman has no fear of losing her life instead she deep down wanted it to happen. She sounded confident while replying to him as she made the bold remark while demanding her rights.

“But I am still a person and under your own rule, your highness, you are not allowed to give me to anyone with whom I don't want to go.”



Sahan’s expressions immediately shifted from casual chat ones towards playful. He pulled her even closer from her waist making the woman gasp over the jerk. Lana’s hands were reflexively placed over his sturdy chest, she could clearly see his facial features this time and could not help but admire. The woman had not paid attention to him before but at that moment she was forced to get impressed by his golden eagle eyes and sleek black hair.



The supreme alpha’s hand traced over her spine and only if he could see the faint golden sparkles oozing out. It was an utter indication of their mate bond no matter how much they would deny. Sahan had been receiving a lot of such hints and obvious signs which assured him about Lana. It was another thing if she was planted or not but she was definitely his mate.



“Then I can make amendments in laws whenever I wish to,”

Lana could feel ticklish upon feeling his knuckles brushing against her skin. The woman twitched her body reflexively as she was unable to keep herself in one place. Whereas her eyes tried to lift off his face as the woman was feeling some strange kind of heat around her ears.



Sahan leaned in and traced the tip of his nose over her neck as he upwards her cheek. Every cell over her body trembled and stood up upon feeling her breath fanning. The supreme alpha halted near her ear when he playfully whispered to ridicule her.

“Just tell me if you want to be in someone else’s arms since you don’t want to be in mine.”

On the other hand Lana was enraged over such an insult and accusation. She had no clue whether to get mad on the humiliation or upon the treatment given by the alpha uptill now.
