As they stepped closer to the huge window and the alpha moved the curtains, Lana gasped at the sight before her. The front garden in the Belle Morte which was buried under till yesterday night had slowly started melting. The whole thing was transformed into a magical wonderland, with twinkling sunlight becoming brighter, fragrant flowers were supposed to bloom sooner, and the grass would soon be visible and appear lush greener.
Sahan pulled the woman closer and gestured for Lana towards the front dawn which was still covered with snow at that moment. However, it was obvious that in a few days it would melt and the whole kingdom would finally be blessed with every other climate other than the winters. "It all happened because of you Lana, since I have found you and you are my mate. The half curse is already broken and this climate change is the obvious proof of you being my mate.”
Lana could not help herself but feel desired because the supreme alpha was now bluntly and boldly confessing to her. Sahan also declared her as his mate and accepted her existence even though it still irked him that she had no wolf. But the very same confession made Lana confused because she was aware that she possessed no wolf then how was Sahan able to sense her?
Nonetheless, Lana smiled at Sahan, feeling a sense of wonder and gratitude for the changes that were happening around them. She had always believed in the power of love and connection, but seeing the physical manifestation of it in the changing weather patterns was truly extraordinary. She had no clue about whatever curse he had been talking about or was it even true or not but one thing was certain now in her head that the alpha was now only his. However, there were still a lot of things which troubled her even more than before. But that was not the time for all that inquiry especially when Sahan was putting efforts into mending the things.
"I'm so glad that we found each other," she said, leaning her head on Sahan's shoulder as they both watched the gleam of the sunlight while the whole glistening of the sky was reflecting with the snow of the kingdom Selene. "I never imagined that my love for you could have such a profound impact on the world around us."
Sahan wrapped his arms around Lana, holding her close as they looked out at the snow-covered landscape. "Your love and existence is strong enough to overcome anything," he said, his voice filled with conviction as Sahan intended to assure her about the power and value she held. "Together, we can face any challenge that comes our way."
As they stood there, watching the snow slowly begin to melt and the first signs of spring appear, Lana knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be. With Sahan by her side, she felt invincible and ready to face whatever the future held for them. She had no clue that just with one confrontation the alpha would change that much and she would be able to uplift her status as an individual within Belle Morte.
Sahan turned to Lana, his eyes filled with love and admiration. "You know, Lana, I never thought I would find someone like you. You are kind, not really strong but you have a flicker within you, and beautiful, both inside and out." Lana blushed at his words, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. "And I never thought I would find someone as brave as you, Sahan. You have shown me what devotion looks like, and I am grateful everyday for you which will come now. And I can’t wait to spend my days with you now with dignity and integrity."
Sahan smiled at her, his hand reaching up to brush a strand of hair from her face. "I promise to always be there for you, Lana, to support and protect you in everything you do. You are my mate, and nothing will ever come between us." Lana leaned in for a kiss, feeling Sahan's arms wrap around her waist and pull her close. As they kissed, the world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in their own little bubble of happiness and love. And for a moment, nothing else mattered but the depth of their connection and the promise of a bright and beautiful future together.
As they both parted from the kiss, the supreme alpha playfully gestured towards the front garden with his golden eyes which were reflecting the sunlight as they stood high up in the huge window from where the whole kingdom was visible right in front of their eyes.
“Oh, and I think we should soon celebrate our newfound happiness with a romantic dinner," he said, slightly purring like a cat as he joined his nose with hers. "Just the two of us, under the stars." Lana felt a surge of gratitude and love for Sahan as she looked at him lovingly. She knew that they had a lot to work through, but she was willing to do whatever it took to make their relationship work. As their noses and foreheads joined together, she whispered, "To us, Sahan. To a future filled with love and happiness."
Sahan and Lana stood there while looking outside from the window as they both were embraced into each other’s arms. Lana still wanted to ask about the one thought which was stuck in her head. The woman hesitated in asking as she stole a few glances with the supreme alpha and waited for a moment before she mustered up courage to ask. There was a lot more for her to know since she was unaware of the dark secrets the supreme alpha and Belle Morte held.
The whole atmosphere was becoming super sweet now after it was tensed up before when they both talked about the gown and Sahan’ past life. She was looking outside from the window while standing in front of Sahan who was holding the woman from behind. The supreme alpha could sense that Lana wanted something from him. The man simply smiled at her reluctance but did not question anything instead kept silent to encourage her that he had been listening to her.
“Um, your highness.” She resumed her inquiry after a long pause, her voice had utter hesitation which did not go unnoticed by him. The alpha was waiting for her words but Lana immediately paused again to correct herself.
“I mean…Sahan,” she turned around and looked into the alpha’s flickering eyes. Lana could feel there was something mischievous in his eyes as if he had been playful doing it.
“Yes, Lana?” Sahan replied, his voice gentle and soothing knowing that she was hesitating in voicing out her question. The woman took a deep breath before continuing. “You just said that I am your mate. Right?” her voice trembled before continuing her words further as she lowered her eyes and gulped a hard lump. “Is…is this true?”
Sahan smiled warmly at Lana and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. “Yes, Lana. It’s true,” he said, his voice filled with affection. Sahan smiled at her lovingly, his hand coming up to gently lift her chin so that she was looking at him again. “Yes, Lana,” he said softly, his gaze holding hers. “You are my mate.”
Lana's eyes widened in surprise, and then filled with emotion as she realised the significance of his words. “I… I don’t know what to say,” she stammered, feeling overwhelmed. Sahan leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. “You don’t have to say anything, my love,” he said. “Just know that I am here for you, and that I will always protect and cherish you.”
