Chapter 21: Truth and Lies

Bellatrix:
"Come on Hera.. I just need something to do instead of sitting my ass down in that packhouse waiting for your Alpha to comes out and—"
"Hey..hey sister-in-law, you okay? You sound like you are going to cut off Alec's head once you see him." Leila enters into the kitchen, slamming down a bag of whatever it is on her hands and grinning at me. "Hey Hera". She waves at Hera who nods at her with a smile.
I roll my eyes. "I wasn't speaking to you Lee."
"Ouch. That hurts Sis." I find myself rolling my eyes again before glancing back at Hera.
"You won't let me work would you?"
"I think it's already too late." Hera says and then nods at the door.
"Hey Big Brother!" I hear Leila squeal making me turn to see Alec standing at the entrance, arms folded with his signature cold gaze staring right at me.
"Alec?"
"Bella." He nods at me, "we need to talk" I do not know why, but the tone in which he speaks has my heart skipping a beat, and it is certainly not the good type of skipping.
"Sure." I reply and walk up the stairs with him back to his room.
Once we are inside, Alec slams the door shut, turning the lock then he turns back to me, eyes burning a fierce shade of blue. "Is there something you have to tell me, Bella?" He finally asks.
Dare I say for the first time in my life I am scared, at the way he is staring at me right now.. Because that would only mean one thing, he found out. "What are you talking about?" Might as well just play the ignorant card yeah? I stare back at him, my gaze unwavering even though I can literally hear my heart beating so fast.
"Do not! Try to play Innocent Bellatrix, you know exactly what I'm talking about."
"How would I know? You are not even saying anything."
Alec groans, or at least that's what I think he does as he stalks closer to me. I take in a deep breath. "Bellatrix Fallon.. Daughter to Katya and Mark Fallon.. Katya was the park's nurse and Mark was our warrior trainer... And somehow you are their daughter.. Or rather not because you are Fae and they aren't."
"That certainly isn't what this is about, is it?"
He chuckles dryly, running his hands through his hair. "Five years ago.. The Alpha King approached me, our kind were mysteriously disappearing with no trace found.. "
"We all knew it was the work of a wolf hunter but you know the surprising fact? We have Seven wolf packs in this region, yeah but surprisingly our pack never suffered the attack of this wolf hunter.. Which is why the Alpha King asked to see me you know? He wanted to know why my pack didn't suffer the attacks, perhaps we knew who this wolf hunter was, perhaps we had an alliance with whoever he was.. I had no idea.. Well that was until today.. I found out."
Alec stops and then fishes out something from his pocket, before throwing it right down at my feet. I bend to pick up the papers.. They are printed out screenshots of my email messages and all. "You hacked my laptop." I mutter stating the obvious.
"You left me no choice.. Goddammit Bella, you are a fucking wolf hunter!!" He yells back a reply.
"I... I stopped. I mean... I... I wanted to stop." I am stuttering as I look up at his eyes already burning with..anger?
"Can you even hear yourself? You wanted to stop? Then what about the innocent werewolves you've killed... The lives you wasted. "
It is my turn to let out a chuckle.. "That's the point actually Alec." I say getting up, the papers folded up in my hands. "None of them were innocent... They were all going to die one way or the other... I only made it faster."
"Goddess! Bella! Are you serious right now? You do not feel even an ounce of remorse? You hurt my kind! You do not care how that makes me feel?"
"If I wasn't your mate you wouldn't care how I feel either. The first time I came you were so stuck up on your dead luna you didn't even take a second glance at me."
I let out a choking breath as in a swift move Alec is at my front, my back is slammed to the wall, with his hands on my neck. "You are hurting me" I try to say amidst gasps.
"Don't you ever speak about Julianne.. Ever" he growls.
"You still haven't gotten over her."
"That isn't what we are talking about here Bellatrix Fallon!" He releases me but doesn't leave my front. "In case you haven't grasped what this is all about, I will explain it to you. When a wolf hunter is caught by any pack, he or she is taken to the Alpha King where the judgement and punishment is passed down. And there is only one punishment for it."
"Execution, right? So what you're saying is, you will hand me over to be killed, isn't it?" This isn't right I know, I shouldn't be playing the pity card at a time like this but duh not like I am ready to die anyway.
"Fuck this!" Is Alec's reply to my question before he then grabs me by the nape of my neck and presses his lips down on mine. This isn't at all what I imagined or expected, but before I can notice I am kissing his back with as much fervor as I can muster up.
His lips starts to trail down my neck, causing an involuntarily moan to leave my mouth but then Alec stops, I am starting to wonder what's wrong until I feel a stinging pain on my neck like something piercing into me, well actually it is Alec's teeth piercing down on my neck. The pain goes just as soon and sudden at it came.
Alec lets me go and steps back. I raise my hands to my neck "What did you do, Alec?"
He doesn't give me a reply, instead he goes to the door and opens it. "Take her away." He says to whoever is at the door. Ryan comes in. Apparently he has been there the whole time.
"Please come with me" Ryan says.
Ignoring Ryan, I scream at Alec's retreating figure. "What the hell did you do to me!" He still doesn't reply and soon he is out of my sight. I clench my fists by my side.
"You should come with me Bellatrix"
"Funny of you to think I would. Do you not know.. I am a wolf assassin.. I could kill you right now." I reply him with a scoff.
"You won't... You do not kill werewolves without a research on them."
"You know that much huh?"
He shrugs and then his eyes travels down to my neck which I am still rubbing. "He marked you." He states with wide eyes
"What?"
"We do not have much time Bellatrix." I faintly see him folding his palms to an axe-like stance before I am knocked off to unconsciousness.. With his palm.
