Chapter 29: Karen Fallon

I arrive at the park house in my wolf form, and I cannot help the growl that leaves my mouth at the scene before me. I can see abut six to seven wolfs that are not from my pack and my warriors and Ryan fighting them off. I lunge forward, my paws digging into the first wolf I see. He tries to fight me off, but obviously is not my match and with loud howl I make for his neck and rip it off, his blood splattering everywhere.
"You are here, Alpha" Ryan remarks through the mind link.
"Leave one alive for questioning" Is my reply to him.
I grab another of the intruding wolves, doing the same I had done for the first one my paws had caught, his growl is loud as I rip of his neck and then he lays still on the grass... dead.

The fight is over, and thankfully we did not loose any pack members, some of our warriors were injured but that was all it was and indeed I was grateful but yet curious which is why I am standing before one of the rogues whom Ryan had imprison to a chair and secured him tightly with silver chains.
I crouch down to his level and grab a hold of his chin. "I know you did not come of your own will rogue, so tell me who sent you"
The rogue who is now in his human form stares up at me and then he smirks. "Too bad white wolf.. you are not as special as they think" He says and then looks away.
I close my eyes trying to supress my anger, it obviously is not working. Lex is struggling with his own anger and even right now I want to crush out this stupid rogue right in front of me, but yet again I know that would not be the best idea, so I try to stay calm. "Very well then, I see you do not want to talk right?"
He does not reply me and his annoying smirk is still evident on his face. I glance at Ryan who is standing behind me and gesture for him to bring me the envelope on his hands. The rogue is now looking at me with ciriousity, well he is definitely in for a surprise. I bring out the pictures in the envelope and throw them down at his feet, his eyes widens in shock and his previous arrogant stare softens, because right there at his feet his a picture of his mate and two pups. Well, even a rogue like him does have something to live for.
"Do not hurt my family.." He snaps.
I raise my brow at him, "you said?"
He presses down his lips as if struggling to speak before he finally adds, "please.."
Whoever said family is the most evident weakness of lycanthropes was indeed right, because right now the pleading eyes of this rogue is enough to have me pitying him, doesn't mean I would anyways. "The safety of your family depends on you rogue, now would you speak, or not?"
"You don't understand, do you? If I speak, they die and if I don't you do the same... What would you want me do?" His statement makes me pause for a while
Even though he had not answered me in the way I wanted to be answered, yet I can grasp what he is saying. Whoever sent them is someone with much more power than myself especially if he could easily enter into my pack's territory even with Hera's magic all over the boarders.
I get up from my crouched position and step back a bit. "It is the monarch, isn't it?"
The rogue's eyes widens in shock and then he starts to struggle with the chain holding him, each gesture causing him more pain.His reaction is enough to tell me what I need to know, now all that is left is to find out why the Monarch is after me and my pack, I really just hope this has nothing to do with Bella.
"Finish him off" I say to Ryan as I finally decide to take my leave which I do without turning again to see the rogue reaction because no matter how pitiful he is, he is a threat to my pack and anyone who as much as thinks to hurt those who belong to me, well.. Pays dearly for it.

"What do you have?" I ask Ryan as he steps into my office. I had told him to go find out about what is going on with the monarch and my pack.
"Her" I raise my brow at his statement, well that is until a lady comes in from behind him. She looks familiar though. "She wanted to meet you, she has something to say I think"
"And would you care to enlighten me on who she is?"
"Really? You dont remember me?" The girl scoffs. "It's been like just a week since we met for is it the third time or.. Whatever, still you don't know me?" As she speaks, she keeps pacing around until she is right at my front with her hands on my table. Ryan snickers from behind her. I glare at him, this is definitely not funny.
"Am I supposed to know who you are for real?"
"I told her, I do not understand why she changed her mind about Lycans" The girl scoffs and then sits down on the chair opposite mine. I rack my brain again, it is then it dawns on me.
"Karen Lana Fallon? Bella's sister?"
"Well, it is nice to meet you again Mr Alpha, I do have a lot of things to tell you which why I approached your handsome Beta over here, but don't get me wrong no matter how handsome he is or how beaitifully sculpted you people are.. I still do not like your race, period" She says, distaste clearly visible in her speech and then grabs an apple from the table and bites into it. "This is delicious."
I am confused here actually, I glance at Ryan who is trying so hard not to laugh as he stares at Karen in amusement. "What the hell is this, Ryan?!" I whisper yell at him.
He shrugs. "She claims she has answers"
I turn back to look at the girl – Karen. What would she know? "That you are here means you know something about the monarch right? What do you know and how do you even know it?" I ask her.
"Well..." She pauses and then winks. "Not so fast Mr Alpha, how about we make a deal before then?"
I lean forward. "How am I so sure that you have any information? You could be teasing me for all I care?"
"There is nothing you can do at the moment but trust me, actually"
"Still doesn't change the fact that you might know nothing about this" I retort.
She frowns and then settles down on the chair with a sigh. "You know... " She starts to speak. "My dad and mum worked in your pack when they were alive, you know them don't you?"
"Katya and Mark Fallon." I mutter. Katya was the Pack's Head Nurse and Mark was my trainer. It was weird though that even though they were humans they still held those kind of positions in our pack. I did not understand why Father let it be so until one day I found out, they were humans with aabilities – Magical abilities. Katya had the ability to heal while Mark, well he could predict the future. It was rare to find humans with such powers which is why my Father probably held on to them. They were his prized possessions.
"You do remember them, thankfully" Karen says.
"Yeah.. Of course, they are not to be forgotten so easily" I reply truthfully. "But still I do not understand how this is related to all that is happening"
"It has everything related to all that is happening because last week I found out I can see the future just like my father and I can heal too just like my mother"
I blink. I was not expecting that. "So you saw something, something related to this park?" This time, Ryan asks her as he steps further into the room.
I stare at her curiously. Karen nods to his question. "I did, and that's why I'm here."
