Chapter 31: The Vision.

[Alec:]
"So you saw something? Something related to this park?" I ask Karen.
She nods and reply. "I did and that's why I am here"
"What did you see?" Ryan inquires stepping further into the room.
She sighs and places her palms over the table. "Hold my hands" she says.
I raise my brow. "What?"
"Just do as I say dude" she rerorts. "And you too" she nods towards Ryan.
It is an annoying thing taking orders from a teen especially one as cranky as Bella's sister but then again are this moment, there is nothing we can do but trust her and even though my brain wants to pull of logical reasons why I shouldn't, something inside of me thinks otherwise. So well, I do as she says.
"Good... Now look very closely.... I want you to see what I saw"
The first thing I see is a very foggy cloud, but after that it starts to clear off and soon I begin to make out the picture right at my front. It is my pack house, the very front of it and there is blood splattered on the grass, bodies scattered around and surely I can recognize that these are my pack members. Then two people emerge from nowhere, I squint my eyes as I try to decipher them and when I do I let out a gasp it is the Alpha King and a Man who looks very familiar... The man, why can't I remember him, but that's not all, because I am soon noticing that the Alpha King has someone on his arms.
"Bella!" I cannot help but gasp out in fright. The Alpha King raises his head up with a smirk as if he sees me and in a swift motion he swings a dagger over her neck and she falls to the ground, blood spurting out of her neck, lifeless.
I cannot talk as I keep staring into the mist, although it is starting to fade, but I still cannot move. I have just seen her die, she died. My second chance mate diedin the hands of the Alpha King.
"Alec.. Alec!" Someone is calling me, I can hear my voice, but I am not movinhg.. I am still glued to a spot.
"Alec!" When I hear my name being called again, I jerk up from my seaated position just as a loud agonizing growl escapes my lips. I will not let them touch her, not while I live.
"Calm down Alec, please!" I feel a pair of hands on my shoulder putting me back down to seat. I am still in a frenzy as my hands are shivering vigorously and my wolf is definitely going berserk in my head. I bite my lips and clench my fist together as if that would help but I swear it does nothing as I can still see the image playing right before my eyes.
I do not know how many people are in my office now, but I can tell that it is definitely not just Ryan and Karen any longer. "Can you not do something Hera? Maybe put him to sleep or something? He does not look like he is going to recover from his panic attack soon" I hear Ryan say. So Hera is here now.
"What did you show him Human?!" She snaps at Karen, obviously.
"I showed the Beta guy too.. I mean it is a vision about my sister, I should be the one going on a panic mode not him... afterall I am just a mere human and he is a fucking Alpha werewolf!" She snaps back a retort.
I chuckle inwardly. Is it too early to say I like her feistiness when it is not directed at me? "Can you stop the argument now, I am okay thank you" I finally speak, opening my eyes.
"Alpha!" Ryan exclaims just as Karen speaks; "Duh, so much for being a Lycan"
"Alec!"
"Calm down Hera, I'm fine... But first off I turn to Karen. "How were you able learn about your abilities in just a week?"
"I attend a Werewolf dominated school, I had some help" she shrugs. "Plus the fact that my sister is definitely in danger even if she isn't my biological sister.. She is the only family I have left." She adds and looks up to me. "That's why you have to help her, I'm putting my ego aside and begging you and I would do whatever it takes to help too"
"You do not have to beg me to help my mate, Karen... She means a lot to me than you can ever think of, and I will rather die than let her die in the hands of these people"
She sighs. "You had better be serious about that"
"So you are Fallon's sister?" Hera asks Karen.
"Well, that would depend on who is asking.. Don't you think?"
"What?" Hera blinks at the reply to her question just enough to make Ryan and I double up in laughter. It is the first time a person would talk back at Hera in a very nonchalant way and karen of all people just did.
"Who are you though? His Mum? Does that make you some kind of Queen of the park? Do I bow to you or something?" She squints her eyes at Hera, expectantly waiting for her reply.
Hera is about to reply when I sense her presence. I am sure everyone does too because they all turn to the door. I raise my head to look at her and I cannot help the annoyance that drips from my voice as I adress her. "Mother, how very thoughtful of you to show up unnannounced in my office"
"So you are not his mother?" Karen wispers to Hera, which I hear.
"Obviously"
"Well, I think it is our cue to leave, the Alpha has a very special visitor" Ryan says.
"Is it? To me he looks rather riled up than excited to see her"
"Still does not mean I do not need my privacy Karen Fallon" I say, all the while not taking my eyes off my mother as she stands there staring at me.
"Okay, sure... But we are not done yet Mr Alpha, you know that?"
"Come with me kid" Ryan says to her as get pulls her out of the room with Hera following behind.
"I am not a child" I hear her protest and I cannot help but smile again. Ryan closes the door behind them.
My smile fades as my mother walks toward me. "Is she the one?" She asks.
"I do not know what you are talking about" I reply her even though I know exactly who she is asking of.
My mother scoffs as she settles down on the chair opposite. "So I sent you a caretaker, you met her? I didn't.."
"A caretaker, Mother, really... It's been over two months since you told Lee to get me a caretaker or whatever you call it... You did not even get to meet her" I reply.
"Well, at leasr you are up and doing now... I hear she is your second chance mate, is that true?"
"Logan" I mutter. "He told you that, did he not?"
"That doesn't matter now, actually... I came here because I got a call from Steven"
I raise my brow in question. "The Alpha King?"
"He says you know of a wolf hunter in your pack and you have not turned her in like he asked you to" My face creases to a frown at her statement. To be honest I have forgotten that the Alpha King knows about Bella which is definitely a messed up situation especially now that I know he is going to harm her soon.
I blow out an exasperated sigh. "He could have just said it to my face, you know?"
Mother rolls her eyes. "Obviously you have not been picking his calls and you have blocked all mind connections he has with you.... You do know he can usurp your position as the Pack's Alpha right?"
"But he wouldn't." I respond mirroring mother's roll of her eyes. The Alpha King needs me as an addition to his trophies.. It is a bonus for him to have the white Lycan under his paws... Or not, because now that I am learning of his plans and the fact that someone from the monarch had tried to kill me.... Well yeah, he is in for a big surprise.
"You should not pull the Alpha King's legs Alec" Mother warns.
I scoff. "Like you care. Well, I think It is time for you to leave Mother, I do not have this much free time on my hand to waste"
"Fine... I really wish you would understand that I am trying to make up for the old times Alexander" She says with a sigh, standing up.
My hands are folded into fists when I reply her. "First off, Mother... Do not call me that name, ever again. I already told you I will not bear name with that monster you had as a mate! And secondly, don't you think it is too late to make things right?"
I watch her as she leaves, my palms still folded to fists. She left us all alone with my fucked up Father and even though Leila and Logan seems to have accepted her back, she should not expect that from me... Not now, not anytime soon.
When she is gone, I call for Hera through the mind link. "What do you want Alpha?" She asks as she walks into the office.
"The prophecy of the chosen one you keep talking about, Tell me about it"
A grin forms on her lips. "Now you see what I see?" She says.
"Just tell me about it, Hera" I huff. She stares at me for a long time, and then shakes her head.
"No"
"No?"
"You are not ready for this yet, Alpha.. So I won't tell you." And with that she leaves, through the door this time.
Goddammit! What the hell is wrong with the fucking witch! And why the hell is the stupid prophecy not written in those goddamn history books!?
