Chapter 30: The story of the Fairy

[Bellatrix:]
The council meeting is going more smoothly than I thought it would, although I do not miss the stolen glances each of the members keep giving me occasionally especially Tian. I do not mind though, as long as no one raises their voice to me, we are cool. I stay quiet and watch as Michal smartly handles them all through, it reminds me of father.
I used to come with him to the council meeting each time and along with Trik, and I always felt proud of him watching him commanding the whole room with his presence. This is what I should also do, to bring my family back to where they belong. A sigh escapes my lip.
"Princess Bella!" I am jerked out of my wandering thoughts as Michal taps me a bit. I raise my head to look at him.
"Yes?" I hear a scoff when I reply which I know is from the lady earlier and also a few mutters of dissaproval. I ignore them.
"The council wants to know what you plan on doing in bringing back the royal family from the dark fae's kingdom? Because over the years, they have grown stronger the dark fae I mean, and it is near to impossible if we decide to go up against them" Michael says to me.
"It is not impossible though?"
"What?" Michael seems surprised at my statement.
I shrugged, "you said it is near impossible which means there is still a tiny bit of possibility, right?"
"Well, probably."
I smile, and then turn back to face the Elders. "Good then, because in the next two weeks, I will be leading L'agaib warriors to war with K'abel, the dark fae court"
"I beg your pardon, but that is a rash decision to make on your own, Your Highness" The lady speaks up again, and even I can tell that her addressing me with the honorifics had taken more effort than she has shown.
"And may I know why you think that?" I ask her, feigning indifference to her obvious rudeness.
"You did not grow up here, Your Highness.. You barely know how to harness your powers, how will you lead our well trained warriors to war with little or no training yourself?" I can hear grumbles in agreement with her.
"She is right Bellatrix, you can't lead the warriors to war in this state" I gulp at Tian's confirmation to her statement.
"Well, I'm sorry but I beg to differ. She is the true daughter of King Kane, which means mastering her abilities should not be a big deal, right Your Highness?"
Finally someone who isn't against me in this council. I smile at Vassily. "Of course Vas, and I solemnly swear on Ishtar's name that in this next two weeks, I would learn to bring my magic under control and lead L'agaib warriors to victory against K'abel"
There is silence for a while, until Michael speaks. "Well, we will have your word to it, Princess" Although I know Michal is trying to help me, I mean he has been keeping the Kingdom together before I arrived, but why then do I feel a strain in his voice wheenever he speaks. I sigh, mentally scolding myself at my trail of thoughts, it probably is just the stress on him. I tell myself.
"And in this light, we have come to the end of this meeting, Ishtar be with you all" Michal says, the elders all bow and start to disp;erse from their seated position. I stay seated, watching them leave in singles and groups. Soon the whole room is cleared up leaving Vassily and I.
"You really think you can do this little one?" Vassily asks me after a while of silence.
I shrug indifferently. "You are going to help me, won't you? You said it yourself, there is a lot I have to do and one of it is restoring our Kingdom so I have to do this."
Vassily sighs. "You won't listen otherwise no matter what, because you are just like your Father.. Once he sets his heart on his a thing, no one can change his mind."
I smile sadly. I miss him so much and I am going to get them both matter what. "Come little one, I have something to show you" Vas says.
Curiously, I ask "what?"
"You will know when you see it"
~
I am staring at the pathway right in front of me and I cannot help but gasp. "There is a physical road into the mortal realm?" I ask Vassily.
"There had always been, but we just found out, because it was through this pathway, K'abel attacked us"
"What? How is that even possible?" Vassily starts to walk into the pathway while I follow closely beside him.
"Do you remember the story? Of the very first war between the supernaturals on earth?"
"The war between Fae and Vampires you mean?" I ask, remembering I had read of it while doing some research after finding out I am Fae.
"Yes.. It was called the Torak War and even the Lycan race was involved because they had long history of treaty with the Fae and so they helped them fight against the vampires"
"The Vampires won the war right?"
Vassily nods in affirmation. "They did, which should not have been if a part of us which are now known as the dark Fae and some Lycans did not join hand with them"
"They betrayed their own people..." I mutter, a look of distaste on my face at the thought of that.
"That they did and soon enough, they had to pay for it... The King at that time drove the dark fae out of Astrid and so they found refuge on the mortal plane until that morning of their attack... They had built an empire on the mortal planes alongside the vampire King"
"But was that not enough? I mean they already had something to hold on to..."
Vassily shakes vision head in negation to my question. "Well, apparently they were not satisfied and so they came in through here, attacked us and took over our Kingdom, erecting K'abel in its place"
"But then how did you all take refuge from them?, how were you able to build another Kingdom on Astrid? I mean, definitely they would not have wanted you to stay on astrid"
"Very true" Vassily says. "But one thing you should know is that apart from them wanting to take over astrid.. There was one more thing they wanted"
"Which is?"
"The chosen one... The child of the Prophecy... The Child rumored to be the one to cut down the segregation in our worlds.. The gift of Ishtar to our race. The one true bride of the believed to be nonexistent White Lycan... The true queen of the Lycan and Fae race. She would possess every magic of every Fae kind, and even magic that cannot be classified... Blessed by both Ishtar, the fairy goddess and Selene, the moon goddess."
Now I am staring at Vassily with my mouth hanging open. "The believed to be non existent white Lycan" I blink.. It is not him, definitely not him.
"You are right. It is him, he is also the rightful King over all Lycan as it should be"
"And what does that make me... I mean... You are kidding right?" I stammer, still blinking my eyes.
"You are the chosen one, Princess Bellatrix... The promise of the Fairy goddess to our race and the gift of the moon goddess to her children." Vas concludes his story.
I can only stare at him in shock and as one being hit by a laughing gas.. I burst into a fit of laughter.
He is surely kidding.
