Her Only Friends
“Are you hungry?” the hot air exhaled when he spoke was sprayed densely, and this made Ava feel slightly itchy. Under his powerful gaze it took quite a moment for her to regain the presence of mind, she could only shake her head twice. Her waist was suddenly buckled and made a flip, she was pressed to lie on the couch. Zac's sturdy was crouching above her and at this moment, Ava's heart was pounding strongly as if it could jump out of her chest at any time. His eyes were exceptionally attractive like it was full of water, sparkling and deep. At the same time, the lust flashing in Zac's eyes was very intense and almost overflowed, but he was still forcing himself to restrain. His lips gradually approached and stayed right next to her ear, almost touching her skin. His arms propped on her sides and his arms softened as he leaned into her body while holding her earlobe between his teeth, biting on it.
Ava shivered all over as if a torrent of electricity had pierced through her skin and spread to her legs and arms. “Do you want me to stop?” he spelled every word clearly, while the tip of his tongue was playing with her earlobe. Ava could only shut her eyes and moan out softly as her mind had totally gone blank.
She didn't react at the moment as she had lost the ability to think. She had completely lost her mind in his antics. He buried his head in her neck and greedily kissed her fragrant hair, neck, and earlobes. Suddenly, he carried her up in his arms and headed to the bedroom. His gaze wrapping around hers and holding it. Ava stayed silent while Zac lowered her to the bed with a thin layer of tears. She wasn't prepared for his next action, but she didn't know how to get the words out of her mouth. Zac got into the bed, his gaze never leaving hers. His mouth brushed hers, and the sensation made her feel as if she were melting and blooming at the same time. In what that feels like a second later, his mouth searched, plundered, and empowered hers. His kiss set off a riot of reaction and emotion inside her, he made her feel alive and out of control. His tongue swept against her lower lip asking for entrance, and she opened up, drowning in the kiss and ravishing him completely. Shortly after, Ava was curled in his dominant embrace, she stared at his side face with a flicker of affection gleaming across her beautiful face, just when she had thought he would have sex with her, but he proved her wrong. “Go to sleep now, Tinkerbell” his deep musky voice made her feel numb and itchy at the same time. She smiled, “Goodnight, Zac” with that, Zac covered themselves with the duvet cover and shut his eyes.
The following morning,
The tiny ray of the bright morning sun permeated through the sleek curtain in the room and dwelled on Ava's radiant and beautiful face. This seemed to arouse her from her splendor sleep, her long thin eyelashes trembled a few times before she was able to slowly open them. Gazing at the unfamiliar ceiling in a daze, Ava almost cringe, but she soon recalled the memories from last night. She swiftly tilted her gaze to one side of the bed and found it empty, and she felt a stab of dissatisfaction in her heart. With Zac by her side last night, she felt safe, and she had never had those kinds of dreams she had. However, she never thought she would not wake up to see him beside her. 'Come off it now, Ava. What are you thinking? This is Zachary Gonzalez in question' her subconscious mind scolded her, and she nodded her head in agreement and then crawled out of the bed directly. Her gaze fell on her dress from last night, and her lips twitched as she thought of the dress she would be wearing to school now. Ava was still in her deep thought when a ringing tone of a phone suddenly blared in the silent room. Her eyebrows wrinkled, that wasn't the ringing tone of her phone. Whose phone was it? Zac couldn't possibly leave his phone behind? As she thought about this, she tracked the tone of the ringing phone to the living room and then found it on the tea table. Registering the called ID, she was thrown into confusion as if she had gotten struck by lightning.
It was Freya calling, but this wasn't her phone. She inspected the phone and realizes it was a new phone, a brand new latest smartphone. Her lower lip quivered as her eyes widened with terror, knowing that Zac was the one capable of doing it. She had yet recovered from the heart-touching when she absentmindedly turned around and found a boutique bag on the couch. Rapidly, she rushed toward it and poured the content onto the couch. Checking the stuff one after the other, a teal large green sweatshirt with white joggers. She also found a black multi-pocket lady's backpack and a pair of black sneakers.
Tears gradually filled her eyes as she muttered, “Whoa, you're unbelievable, Zac” Again, she instinctively opened the backpack, and she almost collapsed with shock at the amount of cash she saw inside it. “Oh my goodness, who's this man?” she thought audibly, as she brings out all the cash. Buzz! Buzz! The phone started ringing, and she quickly picked it up, thinking it was Freya again, “Where are you, Ava?” she heard Hazel's sharp voice, “Hmm… I'll be in school in a few minutes” she replied uneasily, scratching her hair. The call got disconnected immediately, and she stared at the phone screen for a moment, then she shrugged it off in the end. Grinning widely, she packed her new dress into the room and slung them on the bed. With that, she whisked into the bathroom.
Ava walked in a hurry to their usual cafeteria on the college premises. However, as she walked, she noticed that almost everyone who passed by her gazed at her. “Hi, Ava” a female student approached her and stayed in front of her with a wide grin on her face. “Hello,” Ava responded quietly, looking around to see more people staring at her with their eyes full of affection. “You're so beautiful, Ava. Please, can we be friends?” the girl requested, pleading with her eyes. Ava's mouth hung open as she stared at this unknown girl, she couldn't remember having met the girl before. Anyhow, she managed to squeeze out a smile and nodded, “Okay, I have to go now,” with that, she scurried off, “Have a nice day,” the girl shouted after her, but she was already long gone.
“Come on now, Rachael, she's already gone” the girl's friends exhorted as they pulled her along, “I'll make sure she becomes my friend, girls,” she said determinedly, and her two friends smiled, “You want to become her friend just because of Zac?” one of them quizzed, understanding their friend's predicament. “Yes, yes. Thank you” she retorted with a singsong in her voice, and they all laughed.
Reaching inside the cafeteria, Ava was beyond stunned by the number of stares that fell upon her immediately. She unconsciously looked down at her outfit, perhaps she had not tied her shoelaces and that's why they were all looking at her, but no, her shoelaces were perfectly tied. Then has she done to earn these awkward stares from everybody? “How are you doing today, Ava?” she looked up to see the fierce supervisor of the cafeteria smiling down at her, she nodded with a soft smile and sat down in their favorite seat. “What's going on with you, Ava? What's wrong with these people?” she asked herself silently, tapping her foot against the floor and placing a call through Freya. The phone hasn't rung when Freya and Caleb suddenly appeared at the entrance with annoyed looks on their faces.
“Oh no,” Ava mumbled, while everybody was glimpsing at her with a smile on their faces, her own friends were looking at her with a crabby expression. They reached where Ava was sitting and sat down, staring at her with a non-smiling look. Ava was starting to feel extremely uncomfortable under their gazes, “What's up, guys?” she asked cheerily, but their expression remained stationary. She gulped, not understanding why her only friends were suddenly behaving like this toward her, “Who are we to you, Ava?” Caleb suddenly inquired, folding his arms around his chest. Ava put on a smile,
“Of course, you both are my friends. My only friends” she answered wholeheartedly, “Then explain this to us,” Freya half-yelled, tossing her phone toward Ava, who quickly caught it and peered at the screen. Directly, she felt like invisible knives were wrenching her heart. It was a snapshot of her and Zac at the party, with her arm linked around his. Darn it! This was precisely her fear.
