UNEXPECTED ADMISSION

Zac was here and she would only respect his presence and give Charlotte the cash so that she can let her be at peace.

Ava shut the door to her face and bolted it before turning into the room to where she’d left Zac on the bed, but to her surprise, Zac was already holding out some bills to her.

Apparently, Zac had heeded everything the both of them had just conversed about and even him would not appreciate an intruder like Charlotte.

“Thank you,” Ava mouthed as she took the money from him, tipped him a wink and quickly walked back to the door and opened it.

“Here. Now can I have my peace?” Ava didn’t mince words. She was so blatant and her face shows that she’s really irritated by her sister.

However, Charlotte was too busy to notice the discontented expression on her sister’s face or maybe she did see it but was not bothered about it.

“Wow,” she gasped softly in amazement as she took all the dollar bills from Ava.

She was really surprised and her features reflected just how she felt as she had never thought that Ava would be giving her this much money.

With a huge grin taking place on her face, she said to Ava sheepishly, “It really feels so good to be fucking a billionaire like Zachary Gonzalez, doesn’t it?”

She raised the bills to Ava’s face, “This  is more than a thousand dollars here, Ava. Not even in your wildest dream would you have seen this lot money let alone_”

“Now that you’ve gotten what you want, Charlotte. Can you leave me alone now?” Ava cut in rudely, looking quite sharp.

Charlotte would swear she was scared of Ava for that second and she found herself coughing softly to hide her fear as she retreated a bit.

In her mind, Ava has completely grown strong wings that someone like her isn’t close to getting rid of.

However, she wouldn’t let Ava have it. She’s Charlotte, Ava's elder sister and that fact can never change even if Ava wins the favor of someone more powerful than Zachary Gonzalez.

Right then, Ava prepared to lock the door when Charlotte quickly regained the presence of mind and then attempted to peek into the room but Ava had seen her advance and swiftly obstructed her view with her body.

“Can't I even get to come into your room again?” Charlotte nearly yells, her nose flaring.

“The only time you come into my room is to steal my money, Charlotte, and now that you've gotten enough, what else do you want?” Ava barked, fierce anger filling her.

Her prominent anger was in the mixture of strong emotions as she thought in her mind that if Charlotte had been a good sister to her, then she wouldn't be acting like this toward her.

It turned out that she doesn't like herself being this way toward her own blood but Charlotte has already pushed her to the extreme as the saying goes, ‘Even a rabbit may bite when cornered’

And without waiting for Charlotte’s next words, Ava slammed the door to her face.

Charlotte felt the whizz of the door when closed and if she were an inch closer, then her face would be hurting by now.

She glared at the closed door while her hands at her both sides clenching and unclenching in fury.

“I’ll make sure you regret this, Ava,” she gritted out, her teeth clenching.

Ava drew a deep breath into her lungs and then put on a light smile before turning around to face the big man on the bed.

“I-I’m sorry about that,” she apologized softly while walking up to meet him on the bed.

She was smiling but the face wasn't reaching her face - it was full of bitterness and visible to see.

Zac didn't say anything and just as she attempted to crawl into the bed, he pulled her back and made her sit on his thighs.

They were facing each other but not saying anything. They were quietly staring at each other’s eyes. He then held her waist and put his jaw on her shoulder and his eyes slowly closed as her unique scent filled his nose.

“Let's go to my place, baby,” his voice was low and clear.

Ava’s cheeks warmed pleasantly as her fury bled out and lightness came over her.

“I need to visit the company tomorrow, Zac,” she looked at him over her shoulder and told him, not wanting to pay attention to the rush of chills that was skating her flesh at their close distance.

“It doesn't disturb anything, Ava,” his softly spoken words met Ava’s ears followed by his warm lips at the back of her neck.

It sent her belly tipping, sloshing with a sensation she most definitely recognized, like every nerve ending in her body had suddenly sparked to life.

And like that, Zac uses a hand to tilt her head in a way that she would be looking straight into his eyes.

“Let's go shopping this weekend,”

Ava blinked. Once. Twice and a light chuckle rolled out of her mouth.

“What's the occasion, Zac? I mean, is it okay for us to go out like that?”

“Do you think it's not okay? Do I embarrass you?” Zac asked, looking serious.

Ava shook her head firmly while she wrapped one of her hands around his neck, beaming so bright.

“Why would you embarrass me? Tell me, for what reason?” a pause, her eyes wrapping and holding his, “Just in case you've forgotten, Jamal, you're the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me,”

“You came into my plain, lonely, horrible world and make it into a colorful one that everyone now wishes to be like me,”

Excitement took over Zac’s serious face just now and he didn't even try to mask or hide his exhilaration
as he let it wash over him completely.

“Sometimes I wonder what good deeds I've probably done in my past life to d-deserve a bunch of joy a-as you,” her voice broke while her eyes filled with tears but she continued talking anyway as it occurred that she had a lot to say to Zac.

An amused glint entered Zac’s eyes as he raised his hand and removed the few strands around  Ava’s left ear.

He could feel his heart gladdens from her words - maybe not alone the words but the way she was saying them as though she was stating a fact.

“Although you have dark secrets and there is a lot you're still hiding from me,” she smiled lightly and swallowed while a tear escaped her eyes, “It made me have my reservations at first but now I've fully opened up my heart toward you, Zac”

“I want to love you like you've never imagined and accept you wholeheartedly for who you are,”

Ava hasn't gotten her words out of her mouth completely when Zac was covering her mouth with his lips.

He kissed her with all the feelings inside him His lips moved on hers hungrily while she pressed her body  closer to his.

For a few moments, Ava gave no reaction, which made him kiss her more desperately. Then with a groan of surrender, she was kissing him back as desperately as he kissed her.

His hand went to her waist while the other one held the back of her head closer to him. His mouth devoured hers, like a starving male who was offered food.

And in the next few minutes that followed, they have helped each other get out of their clothes.

**************

A huge smile could be vividly seen carved into Freya’s beautiful face as she got down from a cab and told the cab man to keep the change.

She dusted her dress as if there was dirt on it and also smoothened out her parked hair with her hand.

However, as she walked up to her desired destination and opened the black gate which was slightly opened her big smile fell, and a look that speaks more of heartbreak and betrayal ensued on her face as she stared at Caleb and a girl talking and laughing together.

Out of nowhere, she felt tears building up in her eyes but she couldn't understand why her eyes had suddenly watered.

It didn't take long before she understood that it had to be because of how shattered her heart had become.

Without anyone telling her, Freya knew just how multiple pieces her heart had broken into which only implies that it can never be whole again.

She had come to Caleb’s house today because the both of them had an agreement to come together and submit their internship letter to the same organization.

If she had known she would be seeing Caleb smiling so big without another woman, she wouldn't have agreed. But how would she know?

Freya had never seen Caleb smiling like this with any other lady apart from her.

‘Well, maybe he'd learned how to do that now. He has moved on’ a voice in her mind whispered these words into her ears and the tears she had been endeavoring to keep at its bay spilled out of her eyes in waves.

She sniffed miserably and took back her foot outside. Then she attempted to close back the gate when her eyes suddenly came in contact with Caleb’s.

“Freya,” Caleb called out in surprise as he jumped to his feet but Freya had spun around and started walking away.

No, she was practically running because she knew that Caleb was already coming after her and she didn't want that. Not when her eyes and face were wet from her tears.

“Hold on, Freya. Wait!” Caleb shouted at her back but Freya even accelerated her steps, sniffing back her pending tears every now and then.

Caleb soon realized that Freya wouldn’t answer him so he ran so fast and beat her, stopping in front of her.

“What’s wrong with you? Where are you going?” Caleb asked, panting softly.

Freya cleaned her face and glared up at him, “What does it have to do with you, huh! Why did you leave your girlfriend and ran after me?”

A frown marred Caleb’s forehead as it seemed that he didn’t understand what Freya just said.

“Girlfriend?” He repeated in disbelief.

Freya gave a hollow laugh and then put forward an aggressive step toward Caleb, her eyes flashing.

“You really don’t have to pretend, Caleb, it’s even hurt me more to think that you’re planning to hide the truth from me when I’ve already caught you,” she’d wanted to sound stern and unaffected but her voice failed her as a sob after sob tore from her throat.

Everything got clear in Caleb’s eyes now. He looked at Freya in disbelief with his mouth opening and closing.

“That was my sister, Freya,” he finally got his words across and Freya’s tears came to a sudden halt as she stared up at his face.

She was silent for a second before she gulped and stuttered, “Y-Your s-sister?”

Caleb nodded his head twice and smiled, “What were you thinking?”

Freya sniffed and took her eyes away from his face embarrassingly.

God! How is she going to face him now?

Seeing her turning red even brightened up Caleb’s smile as he reached closer and wrapped a hand around her shoulder.

“You can’t imagine how happy I am to see you this jealous, Freya,” he was smirking at her as he said those words to her.

Freya glared at him playfully and wriggled out of his grasp, “I’m not jealous. Quit thinking so highly of yourself,”

Caleb was obstinate this time around as he wrapped his hand around Freya’s waist and drew her closer to himself.

Freya didn’t argue with him but did everything in her power not to meet his bared eyes. Why is he not wearing his glasses?

However, Caleb put his hand under her chin and forced her to meet his eyes.

“I love you a lot, Freya, and even if you keep refusing me; I won’t stop loving you,” his voice a soft caress and sincerity flashing across his eyes.

“I love you too, Caleb,” Freya found herself saying, her eyes locking with Caleb’s blue eyes intently.
