DEEP EMOTIONS
And as soon as the caller called out her nickname, "Tinkerbell" she felt chills ran down her spine. Ava recognized the voice immediately. Why wouldn't she? It was the only voice that's capable of holding her breath. She listened to the little sounds from the other end as time seemed to pause around her. For a moment, she couldn't voice out any word, not knowing how to react at that moment. She opened her mouth to say something, but couldn't think of anything. Nothing came to her mouth as her mind went temporarily blank.
"What are you doing here in Bahamas?" Zachary asked from the line. Ava eyes widened at the question. What the hell? How did he know she was there? Is he kind of stalking her? Never, she doubts it. It might be one of his wild guesses.
"What are putting on, Tinkerbell? Why would you dress in such manner? Who are you showing all those to?" Zachary asked, referring to all her womanly figures that's enough to send a man out if his or her mind.
Ava was speechless and looked around, thinking he was somewhere around. Left, right, in front of her, behind her, she checked every corner around but found no one.
"Where are you? How did you know where I am? Did you resort to stalking me after pushing me away?" she asked angrily, but Zac would tell her not to bother.
"Ava, you shouldn't be speaking that way. I miss you so much right now. You don't know how much I miss you. Every time, I always think of you. The moments we spent together fill my mind always. I couldn't forget the moments we had together, your smell, your sweet words coming out to be so sweet... Everything. I missed everything about you" Zachary told her how much he missed her and always think about her.
All these words would make Ava cry bitterly. She also missed him so much and wished all these hadn't happened, wished he wasn't a Mafia leader.
"How do you always find me ?" she asked, stepping backwards.
"I don't find you. It's just coincidental. You're pretty. Why did you dress like this to a club?" Zac asked.
"Yeah. Why did I dress like this to your club ? I think I already made it clear that I need to stay away from you."
"Why ?" He whispered.
"Because..." Her mouth failed her again. I'm pulled to his build as he gently pressed me against the wall. His right hand lay above my head on the wall while the other is firmly wrapped around my waist.
"Because of what, Tinkerbell?..." Still, she didn't answer.
"I can't just watch you walk out of my life just like that. You should know that at least."
"Stop!!" She yelled attracting her friends attention. But no other person cared in the bar.
"Ava, I'm sorry." Zachary finally said, but she was annoyed already. If only he had said that at the beginning of his call.
"It's not about being sorry. I can't really remember if you hurt me. You're nice and all that good stuff but we should stop. I can barely swallow that night's incident. Ever since I met you , I can't even think straight. I can't even avoid you each time I try because you're always coming back. Zachary, please i need you to respect my decision and let's stay away from each other. I know I'm not better than most of the girls you've been with but I can't handle you."
"So what are you saying ?" Zachary's tone turned harsh.
"I'm saying we should stop seeing each other. I'm tired of your world. If I keep up with you , I'm gonna get drowned in it. I'm sorry we should stop. This guns , mafia beefs and all that bloody issues , I don't want them. I can't handle them. Zac, let me go." She sighed and bit her lip hardly.
"I know I sound selfish, but that's what I want at the moment."
"You can't do this to me, Ava. You're too fuckin pretty to just let go."
"You're not getting it, are you? Ever since I met you, it's always one bad luck and another. Employees, friends and even you....I can't handle them. I'm sorry if I sound annoying but you're one of those bad lucks that's infected my normal boring life and I want you to leave me alone...." She concluded, disconnecting the call.
Slowly, she fell to her knees, drowning in tears. Hot fresh tears. Now she have messed up. Again!.
Her friends noticed her pensive mood and came to where she was kneeling, away from the crowd. They patted her and Hazel hugged them to herself, as they uttered soothing words to her. Without needing to be told, they knew clearly what what has transpired. No, they can guess it even if they had no idea.
The day didn't end as they pictures, but it ended well still. They returned to Texas immediately and Freya and Caleb returned to their abode bidding them goodbye. Now, it was only Ava and her cousin sister left together.
Sitting on the couch, Hazel sat beside A a
"Ava, I would like to say something to you. You might see it as something stupid, but I would like you to think about it."
"....I need you to give Zachary a second chance."
"What? What do you mean, Hazel? You want me to be together with a Mafia lord?" Ava screeched, getting upset.
Hazel then put a hand on her thigh, staring at her face tenderly with a trace of sympathy.
"I mean, it's all for the best, Ava. You're here crying and all hurt about what he did but you can't stay away from him. Then you should think about going back to him. Probably, you would be able to move on freely. From my own view, you both need each other by your side" Hazel tutored, patting her friend on the palm in a reassuring manner and Ava began crying once again.
Ava couldn't say anything, just allowing her tears to roll down her cheeks freely. She had never imagined that someday she would a man like this. She had not loved Cole this way.
All through that night, Ava couldn't sleep a wink, dwelling on the thoughts of Zac. Everything about him most especially the way he looked at her as if she was his only treasure.
She missed him.
Her body ached to be touched by him extremely.
The next day, she dressed and went to one of Zac's penthouses- the one she had the access to. Where her cars were parking in the yard.
Having deleted his number, so she couldn't call him. And in the hope that, Zac would come there, she prepared a sumptuous meal for lunch.
However, before she was done, the person in question arrived. Immediately, she grew weak in her knees as she saw his majesty standing in the living room, just a few walks away from the door.
Zac stared darkly at her and stuff his hands inside his pockets. Evidently, he was damn astounded to see her in his house when she had just tell them to go on their separate ways last night.
He inspected her from where he stood. His face sharpened, all had lines, all ice, all Zachary Gonzalez.
His eyes were emotionless and it made her feel weird again. And then, he took a step closer to her in a way that she can perceive his cologne and feel his lips inches away from mine.
"Why does he have such effects on me. What are these feelings called?" Ava asked herself.
"Love" her subconciousness answered.
"What are you doing here?" His voice was stern and harsh.
"I... I...I.." Ava didn't know what to say she stuttered while fiddling with her fingers.
"I came to see you." She finally found her bearing.
"For what? I thought we ended things already." He asked. Now, Ava was getting scared with his reaction.
"I'm sorry, I was...." Zachary moved closer to her till her back touches the wall, his hands slide down the wall to run through her hair. His closeness still makes her heart flutter like she had never been touched by him before.
Fuck!, Just his cologne is making her give in to him. How can he be so manipulative? His right hand slide down her curves down to her back.
"Speak, I'm listening." His lips curved to a lopsided grin as he kissed her neck at once before she could answer. His lips trailed down her bare neck to her chest tasting every inch of her skin.
Ava didn't want to moan but yet she did. His has some kind of trap that no matter how hard she tried to get out, she just got stuck more. He's worst than danger itself. Honestly.
Whatever words that she uttered to him last night is like a clip of what her thoughts are about and she can't handle it. He sucked on Ava's collarbones to her almost exposed cleavages.
"What are you doing to me , Tinkerbell ?" He kissed her cheek and took in her lips before she can reply again.
His hands pressed her body to his as he kissed her lips. Without thinking twice Ava kissed back. Their tongues move in rhythm with so much desperation. She missed him as much as she I wanted to be far away from him.
But, she's too weak to tell him to leave her alone not with such connections. He trailed his hands inside her mid thigh dress as his hands smoothed her skin.
He teased her upper lip with his mouth and they were back to eating each other out. Ava grabbed his jacket and pulled her body to his with her lips still in motion with his. He caressed her curves to her ass and cupped it through her dress before giving it a gentle squeeze. She moaned and she knew it's time to stop what they were doing.
"I'm sorry if I hurt you." Ava pushed him back gently and tried to catch her breath. She could see a trace of her lipstick on his pink swollen lips.
"I'm sorry, Zachary." She apologized, looking at his back which he turned at her.
"You hurt me so much, Ava. Your words were too much for me when all I did was care about you." He said in a light whispery voice, leaving Ava speechless.
"You're hard to avoid Ava"
"I'm sorry," that was all she could say.
"Why are you sorry? I guess I'm the jerk here."
"No, you..." Before she could say another word, Zachary shut get.
"Shhhhh. Don't say a word." He drew her body to his kissing her rapidly with all emotions.
