The Hidden History

Emily sat up in bed and listened for the sounds of footsteps, there were no sounds. She had become so paranoid in the days after Logan's poisoning, always scared that something was going to hurt him, scared that he would disappear from her like a dream she was certain he was.
But as she watched him sleep she knew with a little comfort that he was safe. They were all in the same room together now, Bruce had fallen asleep two hours ago on some uncomfortable couch and Aspen used some blankets to form a bed.
Our only visitors were Alpha Briar and her beta Sia, which was not so bad, and they had spread the rumors that Logan was barely hanging on but that the person who had poisoned him would soon be exposed. Evey day that came that Jessie made no move, Alpha Briar moved between hope and rage. She could understand her a bit. The betrayal would be beyond words.
They were however lagging behind on their research front, two days of searching and there was nothing to be found about Finn or the scroll. She rose from bed and strolled to the window.
The moon was almost gone, less than a half now, soon a new cycle would begin and Logan would need to run and stretch, which would be an experience.
They needed to be doing something, they couldn't just stay and wait for the books to fall into their laps.
Emily was exhausted but she knew they needed to do this, she had let herself become distracted these few days let herself forget what they were here for and who they were doing this for
She was done doing that.
She slid out of bed walked to the closet and ,grabbed the overalls that had been put there. She liked the color, it was dark enough that it could hide mistakes and allow her to keep her skin tones.
Once she was dressed she walked to the hidden door and reached for the carved woman and just as she was about to push it in

" You are flirting with trouble," Aspen muttered and she jerked harshly as Aspen passed her ,coming to stand next to her by the wall
" I am not" she huffed and got a soft laugh
" Uhuh" she mumbled and Emily looked to him and sighed
" He needs to rest and we need ideas in the library" she mumbled and Emily laughed
" Fine, let me get my jacket " she huffed as she walked to the chair where she grabbed a jacket and walked back to the door she gripped her shoulder and her palm squeezing into it as she said
" Let's go I "

Emily pressed the statue slowly and sighed when the door opened, looking into it, there was no one in the hallway, so she stepped into the hall, looking for signs of people, Aspen tiptoed out of the room, and she was inside she looked to the room where the other two slept and muttered.
" They'll kill us for this " she said and gestured to them, Emily grinned
" I'm prepared" they were out of the dorm rooms in seconds.
She followed the paths of the house, that Aspen did and soon the library was visible almost immediately.
Emily walked faster to it, she was still awed by how similar this library was to that in the Dark Moon pack.
Although this was way less glass that seemed to be used in the building. It looked to be more sturdy made of stone that shone from being polished too long " she mused standing to her full height.
" You're staring again" Aspen mumbled and she hissed looking around the room
" I'm fine, just admiring the view" she mumbled
" The magic in it is powerful, how were they able to store it there" she asked turning toward the wall of stone
Emily walked closer to the wall attracted by the carved woman figure in the wall, as she drew closer the more she was intrigued.
The woman in the carving was just the same, as the Fressian goddess Samoa who had been carved into the walls of the cave.
" She looks similar" she muttered to Aspen , who watched the carving and looked away from her
" Yeah a little bit " she mumbled and then went back to watching the room around them. She wondered how they could share similar cultures and things just how close were all werewolf packs and did they know did or had their isolation from one another locked the secrets in darkness.

Emily grabbed a piece of clothe from her pocket and she wrapped her hair away from her face with a black handkerchief.
It was time to get this started,
" You'll look for scrolls and I'll look for everything on Finn" she mumbled and received a sharp nod
They started from where they had left off, it was monotonous work and they rarely spoke to one another except to let themselves know when they were moving.
Emily found a few promising texts that made her pause but they were ultimately not worth it.
She found herself moving further down the aisle where she found a room separate from the actual library.
Emily slid in the side door open to find, every where was dark, the only thing she could reach was old scent of books and burning incense, which meant that someone had been here or at least used the place.
Emily slid past the door and into the small room, it was a library a small one that they hadn't seen or had not been there.
She walked round the shelves running her hands over the shelves, she thought she heard something whisper at her through the wind.
Thumbing at the books Emily pulled a volume and read through it, it was a rough history of the Golden Fang pack, she picked up another book and flipped through it, then placed it back into the shelf.
She walked to the door
" Aspen " she called out
" Found something" Aspen called out
" Yes, come to my voice "
It didn't take long for Aspen to reach her
" Where was this place " she mumbled and Emily shrugged
" I found books on pack history so maybe you can find scrolls " she mumbled pointing to the shelf and got a sharp nod.
Emily needed to find something that was close to Finn, anything about who he was and what he wanted.
Emily walked down the corridor pulling and studying books, setting aside what was beneficial and shoving the rest back in.
The archive room was huge and at the far end of the room, were a few shelves filled with books and tomes all neatly arranged in a date system.
Emily walked back to the oldest year she could find which was a cluster of some years together.
She pulled out a few files and began to read they.
They mostly spoke about pack history, narrowing down to the pack itself but one thing caught her eye
The description of a woman who seemed to be like the priestess Sera.
But here she was an orphan, no noted parents so she had grown in the packs healing the sick and taking care of the pups and submissive she had died not long after her fourth blood moon, which was more than she lived in the Dark Moon pack history books and far more peaceful too.
She wasn't really sure how the information ties together, she looked upward where a box was seated and stretched to reach for it.
It did not come easy, she jumped on her tiptoe several times until her fingertips caught the edge and she pulled it towards herself trying not to cough.
She opened the box to find small scrolls and journals, one caught her eye, it was a simple journal but with the carvings of the goddess Samoa.
She grabbed it out and opened the first page
Day 1
I took a boat uphill, the wolf is not meant for boats, several were sick before we got to the other side. But the herbs I need are on this side of land

Day 2.
We have gotten a lot of herbs. But I don't want to return home, I have found something for study.
A child he is pale and small, he does not talk much but he is god marked. If the others see him, he will be dead
Day 3
The boy doesn't remember who he is or where he comes from, he keeps crying for ' his niino'. I ask him what his name is but he says nothing
Day 4
I almost screamed the whole forest down, the boy is now in the body of a young man, a shape shifter or so it seems. He still doesn't give me his name, but he mutters two words Fynian Drakis.
I will name him Finn
She paused stunned beyond measure, was that possible could he be that old continued reading up to page that was not all marked
Day 5
We are a dead, why did I bring him here... My fault...
Sembre ossi ... Dead talk
A few pages of the journal were torn out Emily groaned in frustration, this was it, this could not be it she needed more information, she grabbed another book but there was nothing in it. It seemed like the woman writing here just disappeared, she grabbed another book, this one was not filled with letters but the first word engraved on it drew her attention like a moth to the flame.
Finn, the werewolf
The book was a small volume and directly it was beneath some other books and as she opened it to read. She found some materials in it that seemed useful, for now and in the past but most of all what trilled her was the name of the brothers that had been mentioned in the Dark Moon pack library
" I found it " Aspen called out she followed her voice moving to stand next to her where Aspen stood next to a box just like hers but filled with scrolls and tomes, she was just about to ask what it said when they both heard a small thud that was deep enough to startle them both.
" Whats–" she started the her eyes widened
" Logan "
He is My Alpha
