Lost and Foundish

Aspen opened her eyes to look around her surroundings, she felt like she had just been torn apart by wild beast who knew what the hell they were doing and had not been joking with the job. That witch had to pay for this landing because she had definitely done it on purpose.
She blinked twice to make sure she knew exactly where she was first and although she was sure she didn't ,she was also sure as hell knew this wasn't anywhere near the Golden Fang pack. The woods were a little to green for home, almost ethereal, like a fairytale which she was definitely not in. She tried to move her feet and winced , pain shooting up her legs and thigh.
Her ankle felt like it would fall off if she stepped on it in even the slightest motion.
Aspen glanced around trying to guage exactly where she was.
She saw a cave one that looked similar to the one they had entered earlier with Aspen and the other just minutes earlier. She rose to her feet and as she moved forward, her leg got caught on a branch, she stumbled around on her feet crying out in pain that shoot through her ankle and foot and just as she tried to catch herself, her legs won led and she lost balance and fell into a big freaking hole that seemed to have no bottom.
Aspen crashed against the floor, wincing as she hit the ground with a loud thud , she did not know whether to be grateful or not that she had hit both her chest and her head instead of her already wounded legs as well.
But that meant stars blinked in her gaze and Aspen felt dizzy. Shit she was going to pass out in a cave that looked nothing like the one we had been in and was likely going to get eaten by fucking wild animals just her luck, she thought as she fell into the thick black darkness collapsing against the cold wet grass.
Aspen woke up hours later her head on a bed of rocks, she winced at the sore feeling in her body as she tried not to move too much until Aspen was certain nothing was broken and she wouldn't have a problem moving.
Of course there was the problem of her feet but if she could find a strong stick she could risk the walk.
Aspen sat up wincing at the pain in her chest, she could shift easily but that would require energy that she didn't have the chance to waste.
Aspen rose to her feet putting pressure gingerly on each feet wincing in pain when her right ankle twinged. It was red and swollen and she could tell that too long on it would not be good for her.
She needed to find a stick the cave itself was dark and a little shorter than what Emily, Sam and Aspen had been in. She wondered where the hell her friends were and she hoped to all that was holy that this was just a little misunderstanding.
She hobbled to the walls touching and patting to find a stick but there was none so she hobbled out of the cave bit by bit. It was dark outside and she was a little too tired to go very far but she also couldn't afford to get stuck in an area with predators that were larger than she was.

Aspen pulled out the torch that was in her bag pack as well as the little pocket knife , she needed to get one that was bigger than normal a stick that would carry her weight.
She hobbled out of the cave and found a branch on the ground almost dry, she pulled it off and dragged it out of its position and placed it to the floor.
Aspen walked a little forward and Aspen smelled it, smoke, it was north that was the best chance she had of finding shelter, she started the trip. It was slow and painful but she made walk slowly and steadily, she caught sight of the campfire minutes later.
Aspen walked to the campfire slowly looking around her there were no predators only what seemed to be deers but weren't totally smelling like deer. Her stomach grumbled regardless, she was hungry. She could hear furious whispers among them and almost collapsed on her feet from relief at least there were human. She couldn't smell wolf on them but she couldn't smell wolf either
Aspen was almost at the camp when an alarm sounded
" Intruder intruder" someone roared and lights blared towards her direction and right into her face. Shit. Did they have to do that she sure as hell wasn't the intruder.
Aspen stood still hands raised to her head, someone or two someones she amended blinking slightly against the light.
They were walking to her their arms filled with their very sharp and very large blades, they looked to me. Aspen sniffed the air trying to determine what they were, so closer now they didn't smell like humans.
" Who are you and what are you doing here" the leader asked striding to meet her, Aspen raised her gaze to him
" Turn the lights down I can't see you " she hissed and he looked to her and bit out
" Deal with it" Aspen sighed of course, whatever they were and she couldn't tell ,they were too big for her comfort
" I'm Aspen a beta from the Wolf City, I was traveling with companions and we were separated" she said , the man in front frowned
" The only way you could have gotten here from a hiking trail is if you are from the south packs. Our land are far from wolves, wolf girl" he muttered and Aspen sighed
" And if I did" Aspen asked and he stilled
" Well then we don't like the south packs, your lucky you're not dead yet. But I suggest you leave" he hissed and turned to leave
" Wait" she called grabbing his shoulder and he paused , shit these people weren't acting like the kind of people that shot you dead if you were a shifter which was good for me in many ways but they were clearly hostile.
" I need help, my leg is wounded but I'm too weak to shift, just give me a place to rest and I'll be out of your hair tomorrow " she pleaded
" I told you to leave, don't make me say it again" he hissed towering over her like he was a out to hit her.
She pulled back
" Please–"
" Hey stop, hey " she called out
" I'm from Wolf City, not the south. My alpha is Logan Axel " she pleaded and he paused
" Who" he mumbled and she paused
" What is it to you now" she hissed and stilled
" Just humour me" he muttered, gritting his teeth
" Blonde hair, green eyes very tall, out pack was taken and he's off to help the efforts "
" Huh" he mumbled and turned to his subordinates and gestured for him to hold her then he stormed off back to the gate.
" Hey " she called out and the partner who had not said much just stared at her
" You could at least let me rest inside out of the cold " she grumbled but he ignored her almost as if she wasn't there
" Aspen " someone called out and she turned, she couldn't see anything because of the bright lights glaring at her, she pushed forward and the silent beast shoved her back, she cried out in pain falling to her knees
" Hey watch it you brute" she heard Emily's voice, that was Emily.
" I can't believe you could have let me in but kept me here " Aspen muttered ,he growled.
Emily reached her shoving him away from her
" What the hell"
" You have explaining to do real freaking fast" Sam hissed. Aspen let him grab her hand and pull him towards her
" Are you ok" he asked and she sighed
" My leg is in a lot of " she paused looking away from him, he glanced to her foot and swore
" How long have you been walking on that" she sighed
" A long while "
" Do you need hell carrying her" someone asked, a man she didn't know, he was tall and wider than Logan and that was saying something.
Sam shook his head
" Thanks Raku I can handle it " he said and lifted her into his arms, she smiled
" My knight in shining red " as they walked across the field ,Aspen realized the camp fire was for a barricade, they were men here two of the four total guards on duty, the others were leaning against the bars guns polished and glinting from the fire
"We know them then" one whistled loudly and Raku nodded
" You're lucky you didn't send her away " he replied and Aspen laughed
" She's easy on the eye" another said, the silent guard said
" She's a Wolfie"
" You can't be serious," Aspen grumbled and Raku laughed
" They are prejudices"
" Trust me ,it's their loss" Aspen muttered and he and Sam laughed. This Raku seemed to be more fun than the other guys,
" So explain how you know guys met" she mumbled and Emily smiled
" It's a long story "
" I think we have time " she wiggled her toes
" We met when he almost ate me" Emily said and she froze looking to them,
" I can't tell if your joking or you mean that seriously"
" I told you we'd need more time " she replied and Aspen nodded
" I agree "
The gate opened, a young boy peeked his head outside
" The chief wants the guest who arrived to come in" he mumbled, Aspen looked to him,
" Do I really have to join you guys " she asked
" The chief will want to see all of you" she sighed
" Take me to the slaughter then, after I get all the juicy details from earlier" she mumbled and Sam whispered into her face
" I'm glad your ok" he said and she blinked, her cheeks flushing.
She was going crazy.
