"Alright," i said and kept the call. The call ended with a beeping sound at the other end. I let the hand that was holding the phone to fall to my side.

All of this, it would soon be over.

I took the burner phone to my wardrobe and opened it. I turned the phone off and found the hidden compartment in the wardrobe where I usually hid it.

I returned the burner phone to its hiding place and arranged everything before i simply closed the wardrobe door.

Everything would fall in place.

My main phone rang in the bed. I walked to the bed and searched the tangled sheets for the ringing device.

I found it soon after and checked the caller ID. It was Miller.

I took the call.

"My love," he said softly into his phone speaker. I shook my head. He was trying too hard.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Ever since you found out who your mate was, you decided to forget all about me did you not?" He asked with a sigh.

It was my turn to sigh after that.

"I never did any such thing."

"I have not seen you in a long time El. I miss you, a lot," he whined. I laughed softly then because he sounded like a wounded cat instead of a man.

I suddenly missed him too.

I needed him.

I went to the bathroom and took a bath. Then i slid into a pretty dress and topped it with a long coat. I put my hair in a pony tail and hid it all away under a broad hat. I added a large dark sunglass and a face mask to the whole ensemble.

No one would know it was me.

It was a disguise.

And I Elena Evans was the queen of it.

I left my home moments later and got into the ride that i had called over. He took me straight to a restaurant in the area, very close to Miller's home.

I did all these just in case the prince had had me tailed for any reason.

I did not notice any suspicious persons, cars or movement.

But I still preferred to be at alert.

I paid for the ride in cash and went into the restaurant. I came out the instant the ride left and called Miller.

He was soon there to pick me up several minutes later.

"Why are you dressed like that?" He asked me the moment I got into his car.

"I do not want anyone to recognize me and put the both of us in any sort of danger. If the both of us are found out, we would be imperial traitors. Death would await us if my mate ever found us out," I reminded him just in the case that he had forgotten.

"That is true," he said to me as he drove me to his home.

The drive was quiet and I wondered what he was thinking. But, i did not ask him as I was not in any way bothered, simply engrossed in my own thoughts.

He parked in the drive way and helped me out of the car.

The moment we stepped into his home, he shut the door behind me, backed me against the sturdy wooden door and yanked off my hat and face mask alongside my sunglasses to god knows where.
