Chapter 64: MY FAVORITE SONG

Alpha Sebastian

She was looking glorious when her father walked her down the aisle.

My heart beat quickly in my chest with joy as I watched her get closer and closer to me with each step she took.

I had always envisioned it but I never knew that this day would come so soon.

And we had exchanged vows, and now, as I slid the gold ring onto her fingers, I knew without a doubt that she was and would always be mine.

"I can't believe this day is finally here," she said to me in a light whisper. I noticed the officiating priest simply watching the both of us whisper like children in kindergarten.

"I've been waiting for this moment for so long. I love you more than words can express," I told her, unable to contain my happiness any longer.

"I love you too Sebastian." Her proclamation let a profound warmth in the depths of my heart.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the officiating priest told us with a smile. "You may now kiss your mate." The cue that I had been waiting for since forever. I had been patiently waiting through it all so I would be able to lift her veil and bask in the beauty of her who was now mine althrough.

I reached for her white transparent veil and lifted it away from her face, sending the net material to the back of her head.

She was beautiful.

I was lost in her raw beauty for a moment or maybe two before I laced my fingers around her chin and leaned in to plant a tender kiss on her lips. It became a deep one the moment our lips met.

Behind us, the guests clapped in celebration of our candid gesture of love. I was reluctant to release her, but I remembered that we were in public and there were so many things that I should not do.

So, I let go of her.

I leaned into her and spoke into her ears. "You are now mine." Her ears turned a pretty shade of red and I needed no one to tell me that she was blushing beside me.

When I looked down at her, she was smiling at me. I put her hands in mine and escorted her outside the palace hall.

The ceremony was over.

It was supposed to be picture time before the reception.

My beta, Zedd, who was also my mate's brother, came up to congratulate me, and so did her father and so many others.

We accepted their congratulatory words and gifts with an open heart and a graceful smile.

I enjoyed taking photos with my new wife and her family members, as well as her well-wishers.

It was wonderful.

The reception was a whirlwind of laughter, dancing, and joy all intertwined together.

My mate had chosen the palace garden to host this after-party under the warmth of the afternoon sun.

My father-in-law opened the party with a welcome speech and a prayer for a happy marriage inclusive.

Her brother also had something to say right after.

The speeches given by her loved ones brought tears to my eyes, reminding me of the journey that had led us to this beautiful day.

There was our first meeting.

I remembered my wolf calling out to me after sniffing that heavenly scent of hers.

I remembered the look in her eyes as she had gazed at me and called me mate, possessed by her wolf.

I remember being surprised because she was my beta's sister.

He had twin sisters. I knew, so I could not help but ask her which one of the twins she was.

And she had said her name in a rather faint murmur, "Elena."

And I said her name in the same way as we sat together on the wedding chair under the bridal gazebo.

She turned and smiled at me and looked back to the party games that some of the guests were playing.

She had planned them, just like our first date.

Only her twin sister Ellen had ruined it and almost ruined us too.

But it was all over now.

I remembered our first night together in my bedroom, at the palace, on the bed that would now become our matrimonial one.

I remembered the proposal, one that my beta and Gamma had helped me to plan to be very perfect.

Speaking of my Gamma, he was surprisingly nowhere to be found. I wonder where he was.

Mayhap he was caught up in one or two other preparations.

He had sent me a congratulatory message this morning nonetheless.

After a few bits of fun at the after party, the MC announced for us to come and cut the five-step wedding cake that my bride had chosen herself, down to the design and every single detail.

And the cake was perfect, just like her, like she would always be to me.

I helped her to her feet and guided her to the cake table.

The cake-cutting ceremony was a moment of pure bliss. We shared part of it with her family members, the photographer taking quick pictures to help us relieve the moment over and over again whenever we wanted.

The time was quickly going by.

After-party was coming to an end, but not without dance time.

I led my mate to the dance floor and faced her, planting my hands around her waist as she planted hers on my shoulders.

The air was filled with the sweet scent of flowers and the gentle melody of a string quartet playing in the background. The music started and we began to dance slowly.

It was my favorite song.

My bride must have chosen this without my knowledge, just like I had chosen hers as the one to be played when she was escorted down the aisle by her father.

As we danced together, lost in each other's embrace, I could not help but think about the future that we were about to embark on.

The journey ahead was unknown, but with Elena by my side, I felt invincible.

Our love story was just beginning, with chapters waiting to be written, adventures to be had, and challenges to overcome together.

We danced under the sky to the music, I was lost in the magic of the moment.

Our wedding was one to remember, a day filled with love, laughter, and the promise of a lifetime of happiness together.

The celebration continued well into the day with laughter, joy, and dancing from the guests, creating unforgettable memories that would last a lifetime.

As the sun began to set on the distant horizon, coloring the sky a fine shade of orange, friends,s, and family gathered in the picturesque garden to
take pictures. Some of them were already beginning to disperse, going to their various homes.

My Beta made a finishing toast and a vote of thanks as the gloaming came upon us.

But despite that, some people stayed behind,d and the night continued with toasts and the sweet melody of the music that filled the air.

As the night came to a close, I held Elena's hands and led her away to the other side of the huge palace garden, allowing both of us to steal a quiet moment together, looking out at the stars above.

As she watched the stars from the brick garden chair, I watched her, entranced in the moment.

But I knew in that instant that I was exactly where I was meant to be, with the woman that I loved by my side.

I knew that our future together was filled with endless possibilities, and I could not wait to see what awaited us.

In that moment, I wanted her more than ever before.

We bid farewell to our guests and retreated into the quiet sanctuary of our shared life.
