Caleb

“ I'll be there soon ” ,I said, ending the call and throwing the phone onto the seat. I drove like a maniac. Who would do this ? Was it Catherine? , Jason or someone else?. The minute she's out of my sight she gets hurt. First her house and now the cafe and her apartment. Someone was really trying to get rid of her.

When I pulled up to the hospital entrance Ryan was waiting.

“ Room number six. I already asked Max to check into it. Holly is with her. She's not badly injured, just cuts and bruises ,and a sprained wrist . Caleb you spent the last month miserable and I'm sure she did too. Explain it to her and then let her decide ”.he said, looking at me. I nodded.

When I walked in , I saw everyone stop and stare. I didn't give a shit about them. I found the room easily. When I walked in Holly was sitting with her. When she saw me she stood up.

“ I'll let the two of you talk ” ,She said , about to leave.

“ Wait Holly. You need to know also” ,I said looking at her. Aria didn't look at me

“ Catherine Davison is an ex or mine from years ago, she's the reason I'm always on the move and have no relationships. After I broke it off with her she became obsessed. I had no idea that meeting her would change my life so drastically. Imagine being a billionaire and a woman was making your fucking like miserable and unbearable. That's what Catherine has done to my life. Every single woman after Catherine got hurt, even women I've had one night stands with. There's no evidence to tie her to it but We know it's her. “ I haven't been home in Two years , Do you know how hard that is?. I video call them every single Sunday. But it's not the same. My sister always yells at me, telling me I'm missing so many special moments with my family. Ryan is the only one that knows where I'm going. Once Jason couldn't find me and he got to Ryan, beat Ryan up pretty badly, but he still didn't tell him where I was. Luckily Max found Him in time or he would have died. This is why I did what I did. I left them and headed back outside.

For one month I was brooding and Holly left me. He never showed up at the cafe again and that was good for me. Since that day Lacy has been quiet. The state fair had started and I was occupied with that. Everyone gave me a wide berth and stayed clear.

It was a few Days ago when lacy decided she was going to bitch.I was about to close the cafe,it was just me and Holly. Grace, Cassie and Mya had already gone to the fair and we were heading there.

“ So why hasn't Cross been here in a month?” she asked, looking at me. At that point I had had enough. I slammed my hands down on the table.

“ What the hell is your problem Lacy?. Go look for Cross and ask him. Why are you asking us?”. I looked at her.

“ Who would I ask if not you? Everyone in Payson knows you besides he said you can call him Caleb. If you don't know then who does as it is ,you're the ideal woman that every single man in Payson wants maybe Cross wants you too” ,She said

Oh she was getting under my skin and I had had enough.

“ Yea they all want me and you proved a point by fucking Anthony. Guess it must suck to be you especially when Anthony comes here begging me to take him back” ,I said . The look on her face was priceless but her eyes had that meanness in them.

“ So what if I fucked him ? ,At least I was better than you bitch,he said so himself ”. She said, smirking.

“ Of course you were, you're good enough to be passed the fuck around. Holly what do the guys call her ?” I said, smirking at her.

“ Raphael said the guys down at the firehouse call her Payson's fuck toy she's always available to fuck anyone at anytime ” ,Holly said laughing.

“ You fucking bitch ”.She yelled.

“ You're fired Lacy. I've tolerated you just because. I know every single woman Anthony slept with and I'm not even mad but what pisses me off is your attitude towards me when it comes to Caleb Cross. You probably think I'm like you, just want a Wealthy man to fuck me and take care of me but News flash. You couldn't pay me to be with Caleb Cross so get the hell out and don't ever show me your face again ”I said, walking to the door and opening it waiting for her to walk out.

I saw that look on her face and I knew this wasn't the last I've seen of her. After she left we headed to the Fair. Holly told the others what happened. Cassy was extra quiet, probably because she knew she did the same thing.

Three days we hadn't seen or heard anything from Lacy. One Friday we went into Phoenix to do some Shopping. When I got back to the apartment it was already seven in the evening. When I opened the door two guys were inside, they were wearing masks. I tried to run but one of them grabbed me. He hit me in the face and I passed out. When I woke up I was in the hospital. Holly told me. She came an hour after I dropped her off and found me unconscious and bleeding and the cafe and my apartment were completely trashed.

When Caleb walked in , I knew Holly was the one that told him. When he started explaining why he did what he did, I felt some of my anger and hatred towards him dissipate. When he walked out Holly looked at me.

“ He's desperate. Ryan said he's been miserable. I know what he did was wrong but imagine his life Aria. A billionaire and unable to be with the people he wants to be with freely. You've been miserable too . Maybe this is a chance for both of you. Just give him a chance please ” , She said looking at me.

“ Okay “. I said quietly.

Caleb

Ryan and I were standing outside discussing the situation as to Who could be doing it. Max called and said it was Two guys but it's a dead end but he'd Keep working on it. I saw Holly walking towards us.

“ Go speak to her. I don't approve of what you did but I understand. She's been miserable and closed off. Just try and make it work ” , she said looking at me

“ Okay, Thank you “. I left them standing there and walked back in. When I entered the room she was sitting on the bed.

“ I'm sorry ” she said quietly

“ No , I'm sorry . I know it was wrong but I couldn't help it. That day when I was at the cafe and you walked in,I immediately fell For you. I took some time and tried to sort my feelings out and at the end I realised I was in love with you . I wouldn't have done that but when your ex came I couldn't wait anymore” , I said looking at her.

“ Okay . Please don't ever lie to me again Caleb or I really won't forgive you ” ,She said looking at me.

“ You're going to give me a chance?” , I asked her hopefully .

“ Yes ,but I don't want anyone knowing, especially Lacy. We had argument about you “ .

I walked over and sat next to her.

“ No one will know, Just Holly and Ryan. I promise I won't hurt you. I love you Aria ”. I said looking at her.

“ I love you too ” ,She said . I couldn't help it anymore, I kissed her, taking her mouth hard and fast. She kissed me back with desperation. When she started moaning I pulled away.
