Caleb

The anger I was feeling was beyond anything I've ever felt ,the only thing left to do was get rid of his ass for sniffing around her. My phone was vibrating.

“ Yes Holly..”

“ Calm down Caleb. ”,

Fuck , I guess she figured I was pissed. I let out a sigh.

“ I'm sorry baby girl, I just “.
“ I know, but you have nothing to be worried about, okay. I told Mya and Grace about us”, she said quietly.

“ Okay baby,as long as you trust them that's okay. Tyler isn't going to stop coming after you. He wants to see who your husband is” .

“Then find one for me. Get someone to play the part for a few days or So whatever you feel is necessary “. She said,

“ Okay, I'll deal with it baby “.

“ I'm heading to the cafe, or what used to be the cafe. I'm going to start the clean up and start rebuilding “.

“ Baby, umm I'm rebuilding your house and I'm doing it my way. Not there but next to my place. I'm going to have security guards at my place so that way you and Holly won't be alone out there ”. I said , waiting for her to argue with me.

“ Okay,if that's what you want to do that's fine with me , seeing as someone is targeting me , I'll let you have your way for now”,

Fuck, this woman was something special.
“ Okay baby,be careful and stick with the girls. I need to make some calls. I'll speak to you tonight. I love you ”.

“ Okay, I love you too Caleb ”.

I ended the call and sat there. I wonder if I could find someone to act as her husband. I know the ladies would help her act it out for Tyler. My phone was ringing. Nathan was calling.

“ Ye.”

“ We have a big problem. Jason Campbell just landed in Payson Arizona and Catherine Davidson is with him”.

“ Fuck”.

Aria

Mya, Grace, Holly and I were standing in front of what used to be the cafe. Gertrude, Marcy and a few of the regulars came and was with us.

“ This was gossip central,we can't afford to lose this place ”, Marcy said

“ We won't. The guys down at the firehouse will be here soon. Cross lent us some of the guys from the construction site. We're rebuilding and I'm getting a security guard ”, I said

“ Then ladies let's get to it and start cleaning up “, Gertrude said, laughing .

We were ten minutes into cleaning when we heard them.

“ I guess someone Did the job for me”, I turned around and saw Catherine Davidson along with a man. I didn't say anything to her.

“ Oh shit ”, I heard Holly say looking at her phone. She showed me the message and I showed Gertrude. So This was my step brother. He walked over to me and slapped me. I stopped Holly and the others. I just smiled and walked around him picking up a piece of Two by four. I hit him behind the knees bringing him down to the floor.

I saw the look on Catherine's face.

“ You fucking bitch,do you know Who I am?”, he yelled. I walked around and looked at him.

“ Yes, But do you know Who I am?. If you followed this fucking nutcase of a woman beside you because she told you I'm a country girl , she fucking lied. This is Payson Arizona where every single woman carries a gun. I can shoot both of you to the head and they'll all say it was self defense”.

He started smirking. I looked at Gertrude and Holly.

“ Someone's already fucking with me so Why not put it all out in the open and let the fucking chaos and madness begin. He'll forgive me ”, I said and they nodded.

“Get her out of here ”, I said, nodding in Catherine's direction. Mya,Grace and Holly started walking towards her and she ran. I looked at Jason.

“ The next time to try to fuck with me I'll Kill you and our father ”, I said

“ What the fuck are you talking about? Who's father?”, he yelled.

“ Your Father,my father. Go back to DC and ask him who Cassandra Milton was ,Tell him she gave birth to the child he wanted her to abort. I don't want nor do I need anything from him nor do I ever want to see him or you as for Catherine Davidson, She wants Caleb Cross and that has nothing to do with me or any of the women in Payson,he was here in this cafe and that's it so I have no idea why she brought you here ”,

“ You're trying to say,my father Senator Aaron Campbell is your father?”he said laughing ,but I wasn't.

“ Want to get a DNA test done?”I asked and he stopped laughing.

“ Fine, we'll get one done. Where can we get it done?”, he asked.

“ There's a lab a few corners away from here , Gertrude said.

“ Okay,meet me there “ he said walking out. When he left I let out the breath I was holding in , my knees got weak and almost fell to the ground, if Gertrude didn't hold me.

“ You Did good Sweetie, you did good ”, She said holding me. Holly walked in and Gertrude explained to her.

“ Okay. Mya and Grace ran Catch all the way to the theater”, she said laughing.

We got into my car and Holly drove the few corners over to the Lab. He was waiting there. When we walked in, Grant Mathew was there. He didn't say anything, he just looked at Ross.

“ Ross, you are forbidden from ever mentioning what happens here today is That understood, you do and I'll arrest you on false charges and make sure you spend a good time in prison,is that clear?”,

“ Yes Chief Mathew”,

I could see Jason looking at me. After Ross took the swab samples he was quiet.
“ It's going to take a few hours at most. I'll be back soon”, he said, walking into the lab.

“ I'll head back over to the Cafe. The construction crew and the guy from the firehouse should be there soon. We'll get started ”, Holly said.

“ Thank you Holly ”.

“ I'm heading back to the station, Gertrude will stay with you. Be careful and call me If you need me”, Chief Matthew said.

We sat quietly,not saying anything. I could see him sneaking looks at me. After what felt like days Ross walked out and handed the paper to Jason ,he read it and then sat down.

“ You're never to let my father, especially my mother know you exist or She will Kill you ”, he said quietly. I looked at Gertrude.

“ Now it makes sense, that name, Cassandra. My mother is looking for her. She's always been and she has me looking too. She knew about the affair. What is your deal with Catherine and Cross?”he asked, looking at me.

“ Nothing, Cross was here and spent time in the cafe with the ladies. Catherine came and questioned me. Cross's friend asked for the recording after explaining everything about Catherine so I gave it to him “, I said. He stood up and looked at me.

“ If you have something to do with Cross, tell me now”.

“ why?”,

“ I can't believe I'm fucking saying this. If you do have something…….”

The Lab door burst open and Caleb and Ryan ran in. Jason stood looking at us. He came over and started checking me.

“ Are you okay?, are you hurt?”,

“ I'm fine ”, I said looking at Jason. Caleb turned and looked at him. I could see the anger on Caleb's face.

“ What were you saying?”I asked him.

“ I asked you because if you did, well now I see that you do. I'll leave him alone ”, he said looking at us.

“ Why?”, I asked him

“ Because all hell is going to break loose ,if my mother finds out about you. Whether I want to accept it or not , the fact still remains that you're my father's daughter my half sister and by blood relation I have to protect you and I won't be able to do that alone not against my parents because if My mother finds out ,my father will do whatever she asks him to do and that includes Killing you”.

I looked at Caleb.

“ Do you know Why I did what I did to you Cross?” He asked Caleb ,but Caleb didn't answer.

“ Your mother “, Jason said.

“ Why did you Just say?”, I could hear the anger in Caleb's tone.

“ I went after you because of your mother and mine. Apparently Cassandra Milton, Amanda Russo and Diane Kensington were friends ”, he said looking at us.

I sank into the chair behind me, Caleb just held me.

“ My father never told Cassandra Who he was married to and he said so himself. Cassandra never knew it was her friend's husband. The Three friends split up after my mother was forced to marry him. She knew he was having an affair but not with who and when she did find out she was insistent in her belief that Amanda and Cassandra planned it all. Even though my father told her they didn't know ,she's still hell bent on ruining your family, that's why I did what I did “, he said, taking a seat and running his hand over his face.

“ Jesus Christ, These stories are from years ago ”, Gertrude said

“ It doesn't matter to my mother, she wants what she wants and she'll stop at nothing to get it. She is holding something over my father and because of that, she makes him do Whatever she wants . What happened to the cafe?”, he asked.

I sat quietly, with Caleb holding my hand as Ryan told him everything.

“ Take care of my sister Cross. Sorry for everything from before. Oh and be prepared because Now that I won't help Catherine find out who your wife is and get revenge she's going to ask someone else. I'll deal with Benson myself. I'll speak to you soon Aria and be careful”, he said walking out.
