She actually had the gall to call me mom. Cindy was already in the kitchen by the time we got there. As a woman and a mother,I made it my duty to teach both Cindy and Caleb to cook. Even though we had servants I did most of the cooking along with Cindy but I know for sure Catherine wasn't capable of cooking anything even if her life depended on it. Her mother used to brag about her daughter being an independent working woman.

I started with the pasta while Cindy was attending to the chicken. Cindy had Catherine helping her. I was walking out of the pantry with the flour when I realised Catherine was bracing against the stovetop and her shirt was on fire. How could she not feel that?. I don't want her dying now. I ran towards her and dumped the flour into her but her shirt was flammable. The when she noticed and began yelling.

Cindy just stood looking at her while she jumped around the kitchen screaming, Cindy took the pipe from the sink and hosed her down. I saw Caleb and Ryan, looking at us.

“ Ummm Why does she look like that?”, Ryan said pointing to Catherine. Cindy relayed what happened. I took a deep breath.

“ Catherine there is no shame in this but . Do you know how to cook ?”.

“ No , We had servants doing everything ”, She said quietly.

“ Great A wife that can't cook another disappointment ”, Caleb said walking out of the kitchen.

“ I'm sorry ” , Catherine said, looking down at the floor.

“ I guess your mom was too busy to teach you. There should be some cooking classes in town,you can take some and with time you'll learn to cook. For now Cindy and I will do the cooking. Why don't you go clean up”. I said. She nodded and left with her head down.

The minute she was out of sight,Cindy began snickering. I just shook my head.

“ Oh come on mom. She's what thirty something years old and doesn't know the basics. Did she really intend to get married and not know how to do anything. She probably thought we would hire help. I can't believe she didn't feel it”. Cindy said laughing.

She deserves this but it was a pity that she was a fully grown woman and doesn't know anything. I could never have someone like that as my daughter-in-law. We were having lunch when Caleb started.

“ Cindy , Later this afternoon Ryan's going to take you to Town. You'll be going over to help Holly pack up Aria's stuff “. He said not looking up. Catherine dropped her fork and looked at him.

“ Holly and I have been putting it off,but it's time now. So help her out for me please and any pictures you find you can keep some or give them to mom and leave some with Holly. Catherine your car will be here later today, you'll get your new identifications later on in the week”.

“ Okay”.

After lunch Caleb, left for the resort and Cindy left with Ryan. I decided to go into town. As I was about to leave Catherine came to ask if she could join me ,I said sure.

It's almost one week and in the last few days, I've slept in my office. I only go into the room and ruffle up the sheets so it looks like I've slept in the same bed with her. I.made her give me all her documents under the guise of getting her name changed to Cross. Yesterday afternoon I gave Holly the go ahead to inform Catherine's parents that she was here.

We were sitting and having breakfast,when breaking news came on. I listened as the reporter said what happened and we were looking at the video.

“ Oh my god. Diane has gone completely insane ” ,My mother said.

Diane Shot Aaron Campbell, there was a surveillance camera footage that showed her walking towards the front door and opening it ,then into his office and shooting him three times. I couldn't call Jason as yet. Catherine's eyes were glued to the TV.

We were all startled to See Mr and Mrs Davidson walking into my kitchen.

“ Catherine Davidson,you come here this instant , we're going back home “. Her mother yelled.

“ How Did you find me?”. She asked looking at them.

“ That is your only concern. Get up now and let's go” , Davidson said.

“ I'm not going anywhere. Caleb and I are married “ ,she answered quietly.

“ Like I would believe that” ,her mother Said pulling out her phone and walking out. I didn't say anything or looked at anyone. Twenty minutes later I saw her mother Walk back in with Chief Matthews.

“ Officer arrest him , he's keeping my daughter her against her will ” ,

“ Okay okay, let's all Calm down. Mr Cross is this true?” , Matthews asked me.

“ Of course it's not true. I am an adult, Caleb and I got married and he's my husband. Why are you people trying to ruin my life?. I'm finally happy. I'm not being held or forced to do anything, I'm doing this out of my Own free will” , Catherine said looking at her parents.

“ Catherine Davidson?” Her mother yelled.

“ LEAVE. if you can't be happy for me then I don't need you in my life , I am no longer your daughter”. She yelled at her parents and then walked out.

I looked at them,Her father looked like he wanted to say something because his face was turning red.

“ Well Mr and Mrs Davidson, It seems your daughter knows what she's doing and Mr Cross isn't doing anything wrong ”, Chief Matthews said walking out. I kept looking at them ,My mother and father didn't say a word, after they realised they wouldn't get a reaction from us they walked out vowing to get to the bottom of this. I looked at Cindy.

“ Go ahead, You can get Started ” , She started smiling and walked away.

I pulled my phone out and called Him. He answered on the second ring.

“ What is it ?”.
“ We just Saw the news ,How is he ?”.

“ He's fine. He'll live but now she has to either Deny it was her or Hide for the rest of her life. It was the only way to find her”. He said and I realised it was a set up.

“ You're fucking insane ”.

“ Nope we need to find her ,my mother is not right in the head and as long as she's out there somewhere, My sister will never be safe “.

“ Okay then as long as you're sure”. I said. I saw Catherine walking towards me.

“ Celeb, what's the meaning of this?. I tried using the Card online but it wouldn't go through. My cell phone isn't working either “. She stood looking at me waiting for an answer. I ignored her.

“ Yes Jason. What were we talking about?”.

“ Have you started with Catherine?”, he asked.

“ We are now…”

“ Caleb ?” ,she said, touching me on my shoulder and looking at me. I moved the phone away and looked at her.

“ Get your fucking hands off of me “.

She pulled her hands away immediately. She had a confused look on her face.I stood up and looked at her.

“ Jason why don't you come down for a visit “ ,

“ Shitttt. My mother is either absolutely crazy or Confident in herself because the police are looking for her and here she is walking towards my office. I'll call you back in a few ”. He said hurriedly.

“ Okay”. I said ending the call.

“ You should have trusted your parents ”. I said walking away from her. She had no money and No means of contacting anyone. Let's see what she does. I headed into my office and she followed me. I sat at my desk and opened the drawer. I pulled the picture frame out and placed it on my desk. It was a picture of me and Aria.

The minute she saw it she grabbed it and tossed it into the wall.

“ I AM YOUR GODDAMN WIFE CALEB ”, She yelled. I stood up and walked around the desk grabbing her by the throat and bracing her against the wall.

“ First mistake. I may have married you but she's the only one my heart will ever belong to whether she's dead or alive. Now you're going to pick it up and replace the glass by the time I get back. Don't and I'll be at the Fuck out of you , destroy it and I'll kill you. Is that Understood?”.

“ Ye.y.y yess” she answered, with a shaky breath.

“ Good now get the fuck out” ,I I let go of her and she dropped to the ground. She sat there picking up the pieces of glass and the picture frame.
